Fulham offer £6.85m for Silas
Fulham have reportedly tabled an £6.85m offer for VfB Stuttgart winger Silas – but the Bundesliga runners-up are believed to wanting double that amount to let him leave this summer.

The Cottagers have held a long-standing interest in the 25 year-old, having seen an audacious loan move for the DR Congo international rejected in February. The highly-rated versatile forward has enjoyed an outstanding season for Sebastian Sebastian Hoeness' side, scoring seven goals and adding five assists in thirty appearances across all competitions.

Silas, who has scored 35 goals in 129 games in five years with Stuttgart, whom he helped win promotion back to the Bundesliga in his first season following a move from Paris FC. It remains to be seen whether the Whites will match Die Roten's rumoured £13m asking price for one of the hottest talents in Europe.

De Cordova-Reid poised to sign Fulham deal
Fulham are close to agreeing a contract extension with winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid, according to The Sun's football correspondent Alan Nixon.

Both sides were confident that the Jamaican international would put pen to paper on a two-year deal, having been a key figure in the Whites' revival since Marco Silva took over at Craven Cottage. The 31 year-old has been offered a new two-year contract with a significant wage increase after Fulham triggered the twelve-month extension option in his previous deal last January.

The former Bristol City forward has made scored 32 goals in 209 games since moving to Craven Cottage from Cardiff City initially on loan in August 2019. De Cordova-Reid, who is part of Fulham's leadership group and captained the first team on three occasions last season, has played in a number of positions, including right back, and hit the winner against Arsenal on New Year's Eve.

Liverpool-linked defender opens door to summer transfer
Liverpool target Antonee Robinson has admitted that he could leave Fulham if the club's asking price is met.

The left-back has spent the last four years as a Fulham player after completing a move from Wigan Athletic in 2020.

Robinson helped the club win promotion from the Championship in 2021-22, before playing his part in Fulham's top-half finish in 2022-23.

The United States international continued to be a regular fixture in the 2023-24 campaign, starting all 37 of his Premier League appearances.

While he is regarded as a key figure in the Fulham squad, there is currently uncertainty surrounding his future at Craven Cottage.

Robinson opens door to Fulham departure
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are among the clubs who are considering a summer move for the Fulham defender.

The Merseyside club could face competition for Robinson's signature from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Robinson signed a new deal last year to extend his stay until June 2028, but he has conceded that he could leave this summer if Fulham receive a suitable offer.

"I signed the deal because I was very happy at Fulham," Robinson told The Athletic. "I want to keep on developing, I'm very settled here, I love the club. It wasn't a difficult decision to sign.

"Interest from other people is great. Obviously, it comes down to if someone wanted me enough to pay what Fulham would want, and if Fulham saw that as a good idea, then I'd leave.

"But until that happens, and I have no idea if it would, I'm just looking forward to the Copa [America] and then starting next year with Fulham — pushing on, and trying to help the team get to even better finishing spots."

Do Liverpool need to sign Robinson
Liverpool's new sporting director Richard Hughes and manager Arne Slot will be looking at key areas to strengthen ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

On the face of it, the left-back area may not appear to be a priority position, with the Reds boasting two strong options in Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Joe Gomez also proved his versatility in Jurgen Klopp's final campaign, operating as a left-back, right-back and central defender.

However, the Reds may still be tempted to recruit a new left-sided defender after Robertson was hampered by injury during the season.

This former Fulham star can't stop winning medals as he's made it two in 30 months since leaving the Cottage
Club Bruges 0-0 Cercle Bruges

A goalless draw at home to city rivals Cercle proved just enough for Denis Odoi's Club Bruges side to claw the title back from Royal Antwerp.

The eyes of an entire country turned to the Jan Breydel Stadion in Bruges on Sunday. And the hosts had to dig deep to win a 19th league title, a fourth in their last five seasons which epitomizes the stranglehold they have on Belgian football.

In the end they topped the standings by finishing one point clear of Union Saint-Gilloise despite ending the regular season 19 POINTS behind them.

A draw was enough to see Bruges over the line. Yet any potential defeat and elation would have turned to deflation with the south Brussels club or Anderlecht potentially cashing in.

And Bruges had to do so without Brentford-bound Brazilian striker Igor Thiago who had already played his last game for the club a fortnight ago in the 2-2 stalemate against the runners-up.

In the grand scheme of things, former Cottager Odoi certainly made a sizeable contribution in Bruges' fortunes as he got his hands on a second league title in two-and-a-half seasons in northwest Belgium.

Vivacious, assured and fighting for every ball Odoi, now 35, showed once again why he can still be trusted upon next season. Be it as a right back like yesterday or defensive midfielder. Be it in the Pro League or in the Champions League. The man who left Fulham after one promotion and two relegations in January 2022 still has plenty to offer.

And against the city neighbours, he made his spacial presence felt with a brilliant sense of anticipation. And he also rescued his side at the end of the first half when he impressively covered a lot of ground to head the ball away from Felipe Da Silva who found himself in a promising position to head home.

When it comes to terrestrial matters, he didn't put a foot wrong either as he intercepted a large number of balls thanks to his reading of the game and the kind of tenacity Fulham supporters used to love about him.

Fearing the worst if they opened up,  Bruges were happy to see out the draw but it could all have gone horribly wrong.

After a lengthy monitor check the referee decided that Lopes Da Silva was in an offside in the build-up to Cercle's goal.

It would have been the goal to spike Club Bruges's guns. But despite the regularity of domestic silverware, in the end both the fans and Odoi had plenty of reasons to celebrate. Because no one saw this league title coming less than two months ago.

And there are no two ways about the fact that leaving Fulham has handsomely paid off for the 2018 playoff semi-final hero with his medal collection growing by the season at Belgium's equivalent of Manchester City.

Asked by Capital Football whether he would get 'smashed' tonight Odoi joked that he doesn't drink alcohol.
