Fulham 'renew' interest in former Huddersfield Town star linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United
Fulham have reportedly renewed their interest in former Huddersfield Town loan star Trevoh Chalobah.

The defender spent the 2019/20 season on loan in West Yorkshire, endearing himself to the Terriers faithful over the course of his 38 outings. A temporary switch to Lorient followed before he was brought into the Chelsea fold.

Last term, he was hampered by injury early on in the campaign but featured regularly upon his return. However, reports have suggested Chelsea see him as a sellable asset.

According to the Evening Standard, Fulham have revived their interest in the former Terrier following the opening of the summer window. The report claims Chalobah is expected to push for a Chelsea stay, although it could be out of his hands.

He would represent 'pure profit' for the Blues in line with financial fair play regulations, meaning a sale could prove beneficial for the club. Fulham are said to be considering an approach for the 24-year-old, who Chelsea reportedly value at £25m.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have previously been linked with the former England youth international, as have Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

He was not the only Premier League loanee drafted in by Huddersfield during the 2019/20 campaign and featured alongside an array of other prospects. Emile Smith Rowe was recruited from Arsenal, while goalkeeper Kamil Grabara joined from Liverpool. Current Queens Park Rangers winger Chris Willock was also added to the ranks when he was loaned in from Benfica.

Club insider advises Tottenham against signing nine-goal London striker
Wenham urges Spurs to look beyond Rodrigo Muniz

Tottenham Hotspur FC have been linked with a move for Fulham ace Rodrigo Muniz this summer as the North Londoners look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

There is a dire need for a new striker in the summer transfer window, as the club has yet to replace Harry Kane, who left Spurs in pursuit of glory last summer. With Kane gone, Ange only had Richarlison as the first-choice striker throughout the recently ended campaign, and he had to make do with playing Son Heung-min in the number nine role.

The Australian gaffer will be looking to go into the next season with a marquee striker at his disposal.

"Pass on Muniz" – Pundit questions striker's suitability for Tottenham
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, John Wenham, suggests the club not move for Brazilian talent Rodrigo Muniz. He suggests that the 23-year-old has not done enough to prove his reliability for the club to consider him as a long-term option.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:

"I don't want Tottenham to sign Muniz. He has only had half a good season, and it might just be a purple patch. It wasn't that long ago that he couldn't get a game or score a goal for Fulham. They were playing Raúl Jiménez instead of him, even though he was out of form. Therefore, I would pass on Muniz."

Muniz made a name for himself in the 2023–24 season. He ended the season with nine goals and one assist in 26 Premier League appearances. This proved enough for the likes of Spurs and Chelsea to express interest in his services.

At only twenty-three, there is a long road of growth and improvement for the São Domingos do Prata-born striker. However, is he the right man to lead Tottenham into the new era? We will see what Levy and officials at Hotspur Way think as they assess their options for the club's future direction.

Euro 2024: Dramatic Draw For Serbia
Serbia snatched a dramatic equaliser right at the death in their 1-1 draw with Slovenia on Thursday afternoon.

After impressing against England in their tournament opener, Saša Lukić was given another start in central midfield in Munich.

Slovenia started well and hit the post through Timi Elsnick, while at the other end Aleksandar Mitrović was thwarted twice by goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Lukić was withdrawn with 64 minutes played, and soon after his side found themselves behind when Zan Karnicnik tapped home a lovely Elsnick delivery.

It looked like it wasn't to be Serbia's day when Mitrović smashed a shot against the crossbar, but they grabbed what could be a vital point when Luka Jovic headed home from a corner in the fifth minute of added on time.

Serbia now face Denmark on Tuesday, still in contention to progress to the knockout stages.

Bayern Munich will make one final offer for Fulham's João Palhinha
According to Bild, Bayern Munich will make one final offer for Fulham midfielder João Palhinha.

Previously, it had been reported that Bayern's attempts to sign Palhinha were set to pay off, with the Portuguese international agreeing personal terms with the record champions. Despite still having to enter negotiations with Fulham, there was a sense that a deal would eventually get over the line this summer from both parties.

However, since then, Bayern have seen two offers of €35 million and €45 million rejected by the London-based club. Nevertheless, it is understood that Der Rekordmeister are lining up one final offer for the midfielder.

The record champions are set to offer Fulham €46 million with add-ons for Palhinha's signature.

Nonetheless, due to the Premier League club's €70 million valuation of the Portuguese international, it is unclear whether they will accept Bayern's offer. This is because the two clubs had agreed on a €58 million fee last summer before a move broke down in the final hours of the transfer window.

Fulham now do not want to receive a lower fee than that of last season, especially after Palhinha recently extended his deal at the club until 2028. Therefore, whether this final offer for Palhinha is accepted or not, it appears as though this transfer saga will finally come to its conclusion.

Fulham 'considering formulating' offer – Loan with purchase option can bring player to London
Atalanta's El Bilal Touré has ended up on Fulham's agenda for the summer window, according to a report from France.

Last summer, the striker joined the Serie A side from UD Almería, and he finished his debut season in Italy with three goals and an assist from 478 minutes of action from 17 games.

The 22-year-old's game time was reduced since he missed the first half of the last season due to an injury. His deal lasts until 2027, with an option for another year, but his future could be away from La Dea.

That's according to L'Equipe, who say El Bilal Touré 'could leave' the Italian club for Marco Silva's side.

It's claimed Fulham are 'considering formulating an offer' to sign the player on a loan deal with a purchase option. The Premier League side are 'moving forward' with this formula to try and secure his services.

The Europa League winners invested €29m to buy the Mali international, and they would have to make a difficult decision if Marco Silva's side were to make a loan with a buy option to sign him.

Fulham negotiating loan deal for Atalanta's El Bilal Touré
L'Équipe are reporting that Fulham are sounding out a loan move for Atalanta forward El Bilal Touré (22), who only joined the Serie A side last summer for a considerable fee.

The former Stade de Reims forward joined Atalanta for a considerable €29m fee last summer from UD Almería, however, his debut season in Italy was scuppered by injury. Just weeks after arriving at the club, he suffered a hamstring injury that sidelined him for five months. By the end of the season, he had recovered from the blow and over the course of the season, made 17 appearances, scoring three goals.

Four of those appearances came in the UEFA Europa League. He notably scored in the semi-final against Olympique de Marseille and also made a cameo in the final as Atalanta lifted the trophy.

L'Équipe understands that Fuham are negotiating a loan deal that would include the option to make the deal permanent. Touré's contract with Atalanta runs until 2027.

Report: Fulham 'Renew Interest' in Summer Move for £25m Chelsea Star
Fulham's Persistent Pursuit of Trevoh Chalobah Amidst Centre-Back Dilemma

In a recent revelation by The Evening Standard, Fulham's football club are once again showing interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah as they seek to bolster their defence. This development comes as no surprise to those following the Premier League's dynamic transfer market.

Rising Demand for Chalobah
Chalobah, a product of Chelsea's acclaimed academy, is no stranger to the transfer spotlight. Last summer, his name was linked with clubs like Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, highlighting his growing reputation in European football. With four years remaining on his Chelsea contract, his potential departure would be financially beneficial for the Blues, who are striving to comply with the Premier League's profit and sustainability regulations.

Despite his ambitions to remain at Stamford Bridge, the club's financial strategy might dictate otherwise. "While Chalobah is expected to push to stay put at Chelsea, the club's finances could mean it is out of his hands," reports The Evening Standard.

Fulham's Defensive Woes
Fulham's interest in Chalobah is driven by a looming shortage in their central defence. The recent departure of Tosin Adarabioyo to Chelsea and Tim Ream's potential move to MLS side Charlotte FC leaves Fulham with limited options at the back—only Calvin Bassey and Issa Diop as recognised senior central defenders.

The pursuit of Chalobah is seen as a strategic move to address these shortages. Not only does he bring Premier League experience, but his ability to seamlessly fit into Fulham's squad could be crucial as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Market Value and Strategic Moves
Chelsea have placed a £25 million valuation on Chalobah, a figure that reflects both his potential and performance, especially after an impressive return from a hamstring injury last season. His involvement in the latter part of the campaign was significant enough to renew Fulham's interest.

In addition to Chalobah, Fulham is also considering Teden Mengi, the England Under-21 centre-back from relegated Luton. This indicates a broader strategy to strengthen their defensive line-up through both experienced players and promising young talents.

Looking at the Broader Implications
The potential transfer of Chalobah to Fulham would not just be a significant move for both clubs but also a telling sign of the evolving dynamics in the Premier League. As clubs increasingly focus on financial sustainability and strategic squad management, players like Chalobah are finding themselves at the heart of transfer speculations that underscore their growing influence and market value.

This situation reflects the broader market dynamics where player performance, potential profitability, and club strategy intersect, creating narratives that go beyond the pitch. As The Evening Standard aptly puts it, "Fulham have revived their transfer interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah."

As the transfer window progresses, it will be interesting to see how Fulham navigates their defensive challenges and whether Chalobah will don the Fulham jersey come the start of the season. His move could very well be a pivotal moment for both his career and Fulham's ambitions in the Premier League.

Saints seek to steal De Cordova-Reid
Southampton have emerged as strong contenders to sign Fulham winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid, according to the Sun.

The Saints are seeking to boost Russell Martin's attacking options on their return to the top flight and have identified the Jamaican international as a possible bargain signing. The 31 year-old could become a free agent as he has yet to sign the two-year contract that Fulham have put on the table – with reports earlier this summer suggesting that discussions between the Cottagers and De Cordova-Reid's representatives had broken down.

The Sun says that Fulham are hopeful that the former Bristol City winger, who has scored 32 goals in 209 games for the club, will sign on to remain part of Marco Silva's squad.

Fulham £20m transfer target dazzles against England at Euro 2024
The Fulham transfer target was man of the match as Denmark played England on Thursday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg was the star of the show as Denmark frustrated England in a 1-1 draw at Euro 2024 on Thursday evening.

The Three Lions struggled to control the match as they had to settle for a point in the second Group C fixture. England are still favourites to win the group with four points on the board but failed to confirm their qualification to the knockouts against the Danes.

It was Spurs midfielder Hojbjerg who earned plaudits for his performances in the centre of the park as he was named Player of the Match by UEFA. The UEFA Technical Observer panel said: "He led the way in stats both defensively and offensively. He was also a big influence on his team as a leader, controlling the tempo of the game and reading situations well."

The player completed the most passes and won the most tackles in the fixture, which will have turned the heads of potential suitors. Hojbjerg is expected to quit Spurs this summer to seek more playing time elsewhere.

Højbjerg made an impressive 36 league appearances but 28 of those were from the bench. The player's agent has confirmed that the star is looking for a new club this summer.

The agent told Fabrizio Romano last week: "A player like him will surely be part of a club with great ambition or project because he is not just a strong player, but with a character made to fight for important things every year. Pierre feels comfortable in the pressure to win and I am working in this sense.

"He is telling me that every year he dreams of trophies in the end of the season and don't like to play for nothing. This is his mindset, this is the mission.

"I am working on the many requests that we have already received, yes; but we will analyse all the possibilities after the Euros, during the holidays when we will spend some time together and then look forward to the next chapter. The national team is giving him back his lost serenity now. I'm 100% sure that whoever signs Højbjerg will do a bargain."

Fulham are said to be one of the clubs seriously looking at a move for the player. The Denmark international reportedly turned down a move to the Cottagers last summer as Marco Silva looked to replace Joao Palhinha.

That ultimately didn't happen and Fulham pulled the plug on a move to Bayern Munich for Palhinha. The Portuguese defensive midfielder got his head down and impressed for the club again last term but is now the subject of renewed interest from the Bundesliga side.

Should Fulham sell the player, the club will need a replacement, with Hojbjerg still on that list. The midfielder could cost around £20 million with La Liga side Atletico Madrid another side linked with the player, who is doing himself plenty of favours so far at Euro 2024.

Fulham interested in £25m-rated Chelsea defender - report

Fulham are targeting a move for Trevoh Chalobah
The defender is valued at £25m by Chelsea
Blues have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham

Fulham have reignited their pursuit of Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, a report has claimed.

The west Londoners recently lost star central defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer to Chelsea following the expiration of his contract at Craven Cottage. The 26-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Chelsea, bringing an end his thoroughly successful four-year stint at Fulham.

With Tim Ream also linked with a potential move away from Fulham this summer, the Cottagers are on the hunt for a new centre-back and the Evening Standard claim Chalobah is back on the radar.

Fulham were interested in Chalobah last summer and are once again expected to try and strike a deal to sign the 24-year-old.

Chelsea have set an asking price of £25m for Chalobah, whose status as an academy graduate means any sale would generate pure profit in Chelsea's attempts to abide by Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Complicating proceedings is Chalobah's desire to join a club who can offer him regular European football.

Chalobah still has four years left on his contract with Chelsea and, despite being available for sale, is not believed to be in a rush to leave. Indeed, the defender will only entertain interest from a top side who can match his own ambitions.

A lengthy battle with injury restricted Chalobah to just 17 appearances in all competitions last season but, once he had proven his fitness, the 24-year-old quickly established himself as a key player for former boss Mauricio Pochettino towards the end of the season.

New manager Enzo Maresca has plenty of centre-backs to choose from. Alongside Tosin and Chalobah, the Italian can call on Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill.

While Chelsea have long stressed they are under no pressure to sell players this summer, any financial issues could soon be eased by the departure of another academy graduate, Ian Maatsen, who is on the cusp of a £37.5m-move to Aston Villa.

Fulham in talks over Toure loan deal
Fulham are holding talks with Atlanta over a potential loan move for El Bilal Toure, according to L'Equipe.

The 22 year-old only moved to Serie A from UD Almería last summer in a £24.5m transfer but suffered an injury-plagued start to his time in Italy. The Mali international was sidelined for five months after injuring his hamstring during pre-season but recorded to finish the campaign strongly, scoring three goals in seventeen games as Gian Piero Gasperini's side finished fourth in the league and won the Europa League. Toure scored in the semi-final as the Italians overwhelmed Marseille in the second leg.

L'Equipe's reporting suggests that Fulham are negotiating a season-long loan with an option to buy. Toure, who was born in the Ivory Coast, shot to prominence by helping Mali's under 20 side when the African Cup of Nations in 2019. He began his professional career with Reims, scoring nine goals in 68 appearances, before moving to Almeria. He famously scored the winner as Almeria beat Barcelona for the first time in their history in February 2023 and finished his sole season in Spain with seven goals in 22 games.

Southampton are now plotting a move to sign a Fulham player on a free transfer this summer.
Southampton have so far made three summer signings ahead of their return to the Premier League under Russell Martin.

The Saints have brought in Adam Lallana and Rento Takaoka on free transfers, with their promotion from the Championship triggering a buy clause in Taylor Harwood-Bellis' loan deal.

There's plenty more names linked with summer moves to St Mary's, too, with Martin also keen to make Flynn Downes' loan from West Ham a permanent feature.

Elsewhere, names like Juventus' Matias Soule and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been linked with summer moves to the south coast.

Martin will know that he needs to add star quality and Premier League experience to his ranks this summer, if the Saints are to avoid another relegation.

And he could do just that with a summer move for Fulham star Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

Southampton linked with De Cordova-Reid at Fulham
An emerging report from The Sun has revealed that Southampton are now 'exploring a move' for Bobby De Cordova-Reid at Fulham.

The 31-year-old Jamaican international is currently away with the Reggae Boys, taking part in the Copa American in the USA.

Last season, former Bristol City man De Cordova-Reid featured 33 times in the Premier League, scoring six times and grabbing in two assists.

Out of contract in the summer, Southampton are now weighing up a free swoop for the attacking midfielder.

In five seasons at Craven Cottage, De Cordova-Reid had made 209 total appearances, scoring 32 goals and grabbing 18 assists.

De Cordova-Reid also has 22 caps for Jamaica and three goals.

Can Bobby De Cordova-Reid be a shrewd signing for Southampton
De Cordova-Reid certainly boasts that experience and Premier League quality that Southampton desperately need during this summer's transfer window.

And he'd also bolster the midfield ranks with the likes of Stuart Armstrong leaving, and David Brooks having returned to parent club Bournemouth.

De Cordova-Reid is also comfortable playing out on either flank for Fulham, who are keen to keep the player, which suggests how highly the Whites rate him.

Southampton would have to put together an attractive package for De Cordova-Reid to want to make the switch.

But playing in an attractive Martin side, coming up from the Premier League and likely being underdogs next season could really entice De Cordova-Reid, who may be due a change, and a new challenge after five years at Fulham.

If Southampton can sign De Cordova-Reid on a free transfer this summer then it could prove to be one of their best signings in a long time.

Aston Villa and Fulham on Alert as PSG Admire €18M-Rated Rennes Star for Defensive Boost
Paris Saint-Germain could bolster the left-back position this summer, as there's not much behind Nuno Mendes, especially with Lucas Hernandez out to start the 2024-25 season.

As a result, sporting advisor Luis Campos is looking at various files to ensure the Parisians have the depth at the position to account for injury and the various competitions the team will have next season.

Get French Football reported on Friday that Campos admires Stade Rennais left-back Adrien Truffert. Moreover, PSG have added the 22-year-old to their shortlist of summer targets.

However, Rennes might pose a challenge with their high financial demands for the Frenchman, so he won't come cheap. Additionally, other suitors could drive the price up for the player.

A recent report from L'Equipe revealed that Aston Villa and Fulham are keen on signing Truffert. With Premier League clubs involved, a bidding war could ensue, or perhaps Rennes would prefer to sell the player abroad than help strengthen PSG.

Truffert played 43 total matches for the Ligue 1 side, scoring two goals and registering seven assists. How much could the player cost? Transfermarkt puts his value at €18 million.

Bayern Munich Could Turn To Inter Milan Playmaker As Alternative To Fulham Star
Bayern Munich have reportedly set their sights on Inter Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, especially if they fail in their bid to sign Joao Palhinha.

The Bavarians have identified the Fulham midfielder as their priority target to bolster the middle of the park.

But in case they fell short in their attempts to land the 28-year-old Portuguese, they could end up reviving their interest in Calhanoglu.

According to Bild via FcInterNews, the Bundesliga giants could attempt to bring the Turkiye star back to the German top tier after seven years in Serie A.

The 30-year-old was born in Germany and represented the likes of Manheim, Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen.

Before making his move to AC Milan in 2017, Bayern were among the clubs that were on the player's trail, recalls the source.

Therefore, the Bavarian giants rekindle their interest in the deep-lying playmaker.

Nevertheless, it would certainly take a massive effort to prise Hakan away from the Italian champions.

The Turkish star has now cemented himself as a fundamental player in Simone Inzaghi's tactical jigsaw.

Bayern Munich Consider Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu As Alternative To Joao Palhinha
The former Leverkusen star slowly morphed into a Regista. He has now emerged as one of the finest players in his position worldwide.

Nowadays, Calhanoglu is the one who pulls the strings in the middle of the park for Inter.

Therefore, Inzaghi would certainly loathe depriving himself of the player's services. The midfielder is also tied to a contract with the Nerazzurri valid until June 2027.

This season, Hakan scored 15 goals and provided his teammates with three assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

He has been plying his trade at Inter since making the controversial crosstown switch from AC Milan in 2021.

Fulham reject Bayern's £38m offer for Palhinha
Fulham have rejected a third bid from Bayern Munich – believed to be in the region of £38m – for Joao Palhinha.

Sky Germany are reporting that whilst the German giants would still like to sign the Portuguese midfielder, they are beginning to consider alternatives for the defensive midfield slot in Vincent Kompany's side. This follows recent reporting in the German press that Bayern would not pay beyond £38m for the 28 year-old.

Fulham value Palhinha at around £60m and see no reason to drop their valuation after the Premier League's top tackler for the past two seasons extended his Craven Cottage contract only a matter of weeks after his proposed move to Munich fell through last September.

Andreas Pereira stance on Newcastle United move revealed – sources
Newcastle United have set their sights on signing Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira this summer.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke suggested Newcastle have listed Pereira among their targets in the current transfer window.

The Brazil international is under contract until 2026 with Fulham – who hold an option of a further year.

Pereira, who joined the Cottagers from Manchester United in 2022, is thought to be open to a move away from the club to push for the highest honours.

The midfielder would be especially sought after by Eddie Howe if midfielders depart the club – Football Insider reported on 9 June that Newcastle could accept any forthcoming bids for Sean Longstaff from Leicester City.

Howe and the Magpies' recruitment staff are "working overtime" to get incoming players identified.

Newcastle eyeing up Andreas Pereira deal
Whilst Pereira has won honours whilst on loan in Brazil and has carved his way back into the national team, the 28-year-old did not win any major silverware at Manchester United.

With the midfielder now appearing to seek a move away from Fulham, Howe and Newcastle may line up a deal and convince the player that St. James' Park is the place to be to push for trophies.

Pereira was a key player for Fulham last season, registering 10 goal contributions in the Premier League.

The five-cap Brazilian scored his first goal for his country earlier this month and is currently away at the Copa America.

A successful tournament for Pereira will put him closer into the shop window, with Transfermarkt currently rating his value at around £17m (€20m).

Fulham demanding £40 million to sell Antonee Robinson
Fulham are seeking at least £40 million to sell star full-back Antonee Robinson in the summer transfer window.

Fulham's star defender, Antonee Robinson, remains a crucial part of Marco Silva's squad despite mounting interest from top Premier League clubs. The 26-year-old American has solidified his place at Craven Cottage, showcasing remarkable consistency and energy that has made him indispensable to the Premier League outfit.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, it will take a substantial bid of around £40 million to lure Robinson away from Fulham, a valuation influenced by Ian Maatsen's imminent £37.5 million move from Chelsea to Aston Villa.

The journey to the top
Robinson's journey at Fulham began with their promotion to the Premier League in 2022. But it was last season that truly highlighted his value. His dynamic performances, characterised by tireless runs and defensive solidity, have not gone unnoticed. Such displays have placed him on the radar of several Premier League giants, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

Manchester United's interest stems from their ongoing injury issues on the left side of their defence. Liverpool, on the other hand, see Robinson as a potential long-term successor to Andy Robertson. Chelsea, known for their continual squad revitalisation, have also shown interest, despite the somewhat puzzling scenario given Maatsen's departure.

Meanwhile, Fulham's stance remains clear: Robinson is a valuable asset, and any club wishing to secure his services must be prepared to meet their £40 million asking price. This valuation is not arbitrary but rather a strategic move, leveraging Maatsen's transfer fee as a benchmark for young, talented left-backs.

No shortage of suitors
Interestingly, the side Maatsen served on loan last season, Borussia Dortmund, have also emerged as a potential suitor for the USMNT star. The German giants are keen on bolstering their defence and see Robinson as an ideal candidate following his stellar season with Fulham.

Fulham's management is not actively looking to sell Robinson but has made it clear they will stand firm on their valuation if any offers come in. This resolve is reminiscent of their handling of Joao Palhinha's situation, where they have made Bayern Munich work hard to meet their asking price for the Portuguese midfielder.

Robinson, who recently won Fulham's Player of the Season award, is not just a key player at the club level but also a significant figure for the US national team. A strong showing with the USMNT at the Copa America will certainly boost his value further.

Fulham's valuation of £40 million for Robinson is justified. Given the current market dynamics and the player's proven track record, this price reflects his importance to the team and his potential for further growth. With four more years to go on his current deal at Craven Cottage, Fulham certainly hold the aces when it comes to negotiations.

Bayern Munich Still With Work To Do On Joao Palhinha
Bayern Munich have put in an improved bid for Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha, but Fulham are still holding out for more money.

Palhinha is currently with the Portugal squad in Germany but the tug-of-war between Bayern Munich and Fulham has continued.

The German champions have already failed with two bids for the midfielder but there were claims that the two clubs were getting closer to getting a deal done earlier this week.

However, it seems those claims were far-fetched as, despite a new offer from the Bavarians, there is still no agreement between the two clubs.

According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Bayern Munich improved on their previous bids by offering an all-in now upfront fee of €45m.

However, the new offer from the German giants has failed to cut the mustard for Fulham who want more money.

The Cottagers are said to be keen on getting somewhere around €60m before agreeing to sell him.

Bayern Munich are still keen on signing a player who was left stranded in Munich last summer on deadline day when a deal to sign him collapsed in the final hours.

However, the Bavarians are putting contingency plans in place and are looking at alternative targets.
