Winger, Peter Marinello - Scot, signed by Arsenal in 1970, and touted as the new George Best, but he mainly followed him in off the field behaviour, if I remember rightly- never  realized his  potential anyway.

Of loaded by Arsenal to Pompey he ended up at Fulham, 1978 - 80, where I remember him playing on the  right wing. He scored 1 in 27 appearances.

I also remember Robert Drake - son of the football legend as player and manager, and top cricketer, Ted Drake, who was a Fulham coach at the time.

So I suppose great things  were expected from him because of his dad, but signed from Chelsea he only made 15 appearances  from 1963 - 8, when he left for Nuneaton.

I recall Metchick, I think he was a bit lightweight for the demands of heavy pitches and brutal full backs.
