It's not great. You're up in the clouds with a great view of the city centre !!

SP

I wonder which allocation we took, 1700 or 3000?

Gezza

I  know we took a restricted allocation so probably 1700 if that is the lower choice.

Bit odd when we sold out 1700 in only six days then sent back an extra block last night when there's nearly two weeks to go. I know quite a few who have missed out because they were waiting for the extra block on the seat map to go on sale

Season ticket holders could buy 4 tickets.
Members also could buy 4.
I have a feeling there could be a few tourists and maybe away fans
amongst us on Saturday week
We all know touts have season tickets and memberships so
offering 4 tickets was ridiculous.
As you said i thought the extra block would go on sale.
The club are  useless when it comes to engaging with the fans .Why not tell fans the situation ?
Could have asked fans what the demand for tickets is and if there was a lot of interest take the other block.
I live in The North East and the tickets for Newcastle games are impossible to get .
I managed to get a season ticket holder to get  a Fulham one for me.

I actually rang the ticket office to find out what happened. Know a couple who also did. They said sales had slowed to the point where the club didn't think there was a demand & would have to foot the bill for any unsold tickets. I can understand that but two weeks is a long time, there's always a lot of fans who leave things late due to trying to sort travel etc & an upcoming home game where the ticket office always sells a lot. The club really never push away games,Im not sure if we would've sold another 500 but reckon we could've shifted another 3-400 maybe?. Seems a bit strange when you've got players on £100+k a week & spending massive amounts on a stand for corporates & tourists, that the club can't cover a few unsold seats. It's chickenfeed in the overall scheme of things

Not sure saying ticket sales had slowed was correct.
They went on sale last Wednesday to season ticket holders.
Friday to members.
Monday to people with booking history.
I looked on Monday morning early and there were no more than about 100 left.
Not sure that is slow sales.
Should have communicated with fans regarding taking the other block.
As you said  still 2 weeks to clear them
And as you said if we had sold another 350 or so be it .Hardly great expense if you had a hundred odd unsold tickets.

Pretty much what I said to them, I said you've nearly shifted 1700 in six days, why are you not taking the extra block? But that's what I was told, friend of mine who got caught out too was told it wasn't a ticket office decision but came from someone higher up. No prizes for guessing who

Someone who does not have to apply or pay for a ticket!
