Chelsea battle Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Fulham for Kyle Walker-Peters
Chelsea are ready to battle Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Fulham for the signature of English full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Kyle Walker-Peters is leaving Southampton as his contract has run out. He will soon officially be a free agent, and there is certainly no shortage of interest in the English international. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Chelsea are keen on signing him and they are ready to rival Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Walker-Peters was a part of the Tottenham setup back in the day. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team. Unfortunately, things didn't work out for him at the North London club.

He joined the Saints on a short-loan deal at the start of 2020 before the move was made permanent the following summer. The 28-year-old has only gone from strength to strength over the years, and he has been a consistent performer for them.

While Southampton had a disaster of a season last time out as they finished bottom of the Premier League and got relegated back to the Championship, Walker-Peters still did a decent job throughout.

Multiple English clubs want Walker-Peters
The Saints were keen on handing him a new deal, but he is not keen on playing in the second division. As a result, he has run down his contract and is now free to choose his next destination.

Given the amount of experience he has, his versatility and the fact that he will be available for free, multiple English clubs are after his signature. Thomas Frank seeks more depth at the back, and Spurs are considering re-signing him.

He could certainly prove to be a valuable addition to their team. Even Crystal Palace want more competition at right-back, and they really admire Walker-Peter. With Kenny Tete set to be a free agent, even Fulham are looking for a new right-sided full-back, and they are interested in the 28-year-old.

All three clubs to face competition from Chelsea
All three clubs have been closely monitoring his situation and could soon knock on his door. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also considering making a move for him. The Blues are not looking at him as an upgrade at right-back, but they feel he could prove to be a valuable squad player thanks to the abundance of experience he has.

The London club are keeping tabs on developments and could soon push to sign the English international. It certainly won't be easy for them, given the amount of competition for his signature.

Fulham 'closing in' on new Kenny Tete deal despite rival Everton interest
Fulham are reportedly close to agreeing a new contract with defender Kenny Tete, who has been linked with a move to Everton.

Tete's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with the full-back set to become a free agent from July 1.

The Dutchman has been attracting interest from Everton, who were believed to be in pole position after reaching an agreement with the player's camp.

However, it was recently reported that Fulham had tabled a fresh contract proposal in a last-ditch attempt to keep Tete at Craven Cottage.

Tete on verge of new Fulham deal
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fulham are now close to agreeing a new deal with the right-back.

There is still some work to do to reach a formal agreement, but the Cottagers are 'confident' of extending Tete's services.

Tete already has a long association with Fulham, having spent the last five years at Craven Cottage following his arrival from Lyon.

As for Everton, they will likely have to turn elsewhere in their quest to sign a replacement for Ashley Young this summer.

Do Fulham need to sign another right-back?
Fulham have been scouring the market for potential right-back targets amid the uncertainty surrounding Tete's future.

The Cottagers have identified Coventry City's Milan van Ewijk as a potential option, while they have also been considering Ben Johnson and Kyle Walker-Peters.

However, there is no obvious need for Fulham to pursue a new right-back if Tete puts pen to paper on a new deal, because Silva would be able to call upon the 29-year-old and his backup option, Timothy Castagne.

Even if Castagne were to depart, Fulham's potential targets may be reluctant to settle for a squad role behind regular starter Tete.

Cairney and Fulham close to new one-year deal
Fulham are increasingly confident that they will conclude a deal that will deliver an eleventh campaign at Craven Cottage for club captain Tom Cairney.

The 34 year-old appeared set to be plying his trade elsewhere earlier this week when the Scottish international's representatives looked at breaking off discussions because they had not made enough progress. But just like with right back Kenny Tete, Fulham have returned with a new set of terms and a willingness to negotiate – which leaves the peerless playmaker prepared to compromise both on his wage demands and how much first-team football may come his way. The Times' Peter Rutzler suggests that a deal is more likely than not at this point.

Cairney has a host of offers from Premier League and Championship clubs as well as entertaining interest both from the MLS and Canada. The former Hull City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder has always insisted that he would prefer to remain in Marco Silva's senior squad and underlined his ability by turning the west London derby at Brentford around when he was introduced as a half-time substitute.

Cairney, who scored 47 goals in 354 games for Fulham, is unlikely to start many matches but his experience in the dressing room would be invaluable to the likes of Josh King, Martial Godo, Luc de Fougerolles – as well proving pivotal in the middle of the park as well.

German Side Don't Want To Lose Fulham And West Ham Target
German club Borussia Monchengladbach do not want to lose Rocco Reitz this summer, amid the Germany Under-21 international attracting interest from Fulham and West Ham United.

The 23-year-old was an integral part of the Germany team that reached the final of the recently concluded European Under-21 Championship, which England won.

His involvement in the tournament gave clubs the chance to have a close look at him and he has interest this summer.

There have been enquiries put in for Reitz, with one coming from Fulham, while their London rivals West Ham are also interested.

Fulham have yet to move beyond asking about him with his camp and are not yet in touch with Gladbach.

However, it could be that West Ham and Fulham find it tough to land Reitz this summer.

According to Sky Deutschland, Gladbach do not want to lose the central midfielder as they consider him a key man.

It now remains to be seen whether either West Ham or Fulham are able to come up with an offer that is able to convince Gladbach to change their stance.

Gladbach do have the midfielder under contract for another three years, which strengthens their position.

The 23-year-old featured in 28 games overall last season, making four goal contributions.

Fulham boss Silva is keen to bolster his squad and his working to get multiple issues sorted, one which is the future of Everton transfer target Kenny Tete.

Tete now looks set to extend his stay at Craven Cottage by rebuffing interest from Everton.
