Robbing barstewards.

You'd want Kylie Minogue delivering your half time pie n Pint to your seat for that. ::tongue::

Would she reach the bar?

Their ticket prices must be cheaper, who were they playing?

This is the fault of the ticket prices. I know someone mentioned it was reduced by 25%, but tickets were still in excess of £100 before you factor in travel and subsistence costs. Just feels so short sighted to me pricing out so many fans. The income of this to the club is minimal at the cost of having empty seats and a inferior atmosphere.

I look at the hospitality prices and wince. We're not impoverished but wouldn't pay those rates. However every home game those areas are packed so someone or some business is willing to pay that rate.

SG

How many seats are lost due to segregation- 500?

It's also such an obvious lack of value as well for a bottom half PL game with no hospitality, nice as the riverside may be.

Remember them comparing PL to concerts ie Taylor Swift, but it misses the point as it's not a one off opportunity. There are plenty more matches.

Annoys me so much, it's not fair and it's not good business.

I wouldn't say concerts are a one-off.

One can see the same show on worldwide tours and, more pertinently, often multiple consecutive nights at the same venue

I understand that but beyond a super fan most people would go and see the show one time at their local place. It's completely different from a football season.

Without sounding too American as I am not but I am going to throw a curveball into the mix. I went on Saturday in the Riverside. People might think I am mental for forking out the cost, however with work and my location being in North Yorkshire now, I can only make a set number of fixtures a season. If the FA Cup is kind, I tend to go for the 3rd/4th rounds at home. But other than that due to work and family commitments I can only usually get to 4 or 5 home games a season. For me the matches I attend regardless of the opposition are still a treat, the train ticket price isn't going to change so I could either spend £60 odd and be in the Putney end potentially getting drenched or my view blocked by a pillar or for those 4-5 games a season spend an extra £40-45 a game and have a comfy seat with a great view. I would probably have to think about my priorities a bit more if I was going to 10 games plus a season as a non season ticket holder mind you. But it works, I looked at most championship season tickets and granted you are getting 23 games a season in the Championship for the price of my 5 but some of the conditions are terrible.

Good point 👍👊

It is in fact a little over 28k. I've heard the new figure is @ 28,400 but I suspect it's really more like 28,100 as mentioned by FST. It's definitely no longer the originally planned figure of 29,600.

I wonder why there is a figure discrepancy from intended and outcome.

At the game I thought it was fairly full but I just watched the club full access video and there are clearly loads of empty seats in the top corners of the riverside and at the end of the lower tier. Its a shame they dont offer an upgrade price for ST holders for games not selling out.

But many people go to gigs on a regular basis, possibly seeing as many bands as they do football matches.

Dear god, I wouldn't attend a T Swift gig if I was offered the equivalent of the price of a ticket. What a dreadful thought.

I go to gigs but I favour small clubs and intimate events where ticket prices are very reasonable, often c. £40-50. No way would you find me attending multiple stadium concerts with headline acts costing north of £250 a pop.

Not sure many go to £100+ at a football season rate. Smaller gigs fair enough.

My point is the people setting our prices at equivalent to a high end concert, which I consider something people will not be doing 10-20 times a year, are misguided.

Disagree if you will.

There were some gaps near me in a family section of the JH, which could have been Half Term related.
I sold my ST on Ticket Exchange for the Arsenal game, but no-one sat in it!
