It is such a shame to watch how bad he has become, wont be many interested buyers in the window, but he has to go.

Quote from: Somerset Fulham on January 10, 2026, 07:41:32 PMThe first half performance was shocking and I was surprised that Adama stayed on the pitch as long as he did.

Much, much improved in the second half, obviously and although Boro are a good side, we had too much for them.  Their right winger had Sess in knots and that centre half of theirs looked decent too. Hackney was outstanding and I really wouldn't mind him ending up in our colours.

As for MoM?  It isn't Kevin but he is improving and he now has the monkey off his back of that missinggoal, I really hope he will kick on.  ESR is hitting the heights at long last as well, I am properly pleased for the lad.

MoM for me was Wilson though. Different class.

As I said on another thread earlier today - Hackney would be the player Who would be a good signing for us.

Call him a cab and get him over here

I'm surprised at the criticism of Kevin. I thought his work rate was excellent, defensively he worked hard and made a couple of decent tackles, and, if nothing else, going forward he always seemed to try to make things happen. I like the way he comes in from the wing, making the defenders work very hard.

By contrast Adama had a very poor game. Extremely reluctant to take anyone on. He has always had blinding pace but just seemed scared to use it.

The last 30 minutes Cairney strolled through the game, completely in charge. He was excellent. And Wilson is on another planet at the moment.

Finally, a shout for Lecomte. An early save with his legs was important. And his distribution is very good.

First trio of subs made all the difference. Turned to the family I went with after about 25 mins and said we were missing TC, and he made such a massive difference on the pitch. ESR was good throughout and having the subs we did have him more outlets and support. I think we huffed and puffed a lot in the first half, could've had a few goals but as soon as we made subs it never felt like we wouldn't win. Shoutout to the Boro fans singing "premier league you're having a laugh" for three PL regulars to come on and we scored every 10 mins thereafter, you might be a decent championship team lads but welcome to the big boy league where the standards are miles apart.

Reed, Adama and Sess were all quite poor today. Sess probably rusty coming back from injury, but he was getting roasted down the left quite regularly. Separate thread on Adama I know but he was genuinely honking and I don't think he should play for us again. Think Reed found his level today, I know he scored a banger the other day but he's not good in a team that wants to have the ball because he always takes up positions where you can't pass to him and he's just not versatile.

Side note for my first time in the new Riverside stand. It has an unbelievable view but getting out of it was one hell of a clusterf*ck so not sure if that's a regular issue. Well worth the price of entry and view just to watch TC pull the strings

ESR, Cairney and Wilson were the standouts but overall I went for ESR.

McBrideOfFrankenstein

ESR for me. He's such a fun player to watch when he's up for it.

Black and White Blood

Tom Cairney is still the best player we have, I think these last few games have proven a lot of people wrong about his ability to still cut it at this level.
always wanting the ball and directing play, some of his passing is sublime, especially the assist to ESR.
We should make the most of him while we can, there is no substitute for class.

It was good to see Kusi Asare get 55 minutes. Some good touches and a header that went close but I thought his most memorable moment was when he won possession back in their half with a well timed tackle, one that wasn't a free kick.
Kevin played well, he is much improved and developing into a team player and it was good to see him score his first goal. How anyone could criticise  him I have no idea.
 ESR looked good.
But it was Harry for me, he who got us going so soon after coming on. We needed a lift and he provided this.  ::thumb::

We have to renew his and Marco's contracts.

The most memorable moment for Adama was that he was the player who showed the most response to the us fans watching  when he left the team coach, Raul was not far behind.

Esr looks two yards quicker, always looking for the ball and his touch is superb. Got a deserved goal too.

Much better but him and Diop did not fill me with confidence 1st half the passing back to and from each other

Adama 1st half put in 2 great crosses to the back post but nobody on the end of it.

I don't know about the best as he can't manage 90 mins anymore. I suppose it depends what criteria you judge it on.   we have one or two candidates but he is still an outstanding player for us. I love watching him play. Over 90 mins Iwobi and Wilson on current form must be up there, a resurgent ESR is fast becoming very important and even Kevin is showing glimpses of why we paid the money for him. Chuk could be vying for consideration if he maintains form from before Afcon. He also has played limited mins so should be relatively fresh.
Things are looking rosy at the moment but, this is our beloved Fulham.
