We are saying thank you for accepting that we were right all along, and changing your approach as we told you to. Shame it took so long but we can forgive that.

Lol, appreciate this is in part tongue in cheek as you've been notably more reasoned of late here.

But It's been stated this was the planned approach all along. You have to establish yaself to attract such players and we have due to our approach.

Once again, plan was stated to be:

1.Sign experienced players✅
2.Stay up ✅
3. Establish ourselves as a mid table club✅
4. Try to finish top 10 ❌ last yr we fell minorly short - however we did set a club record for points/wins, so plenty positives and a little unlucky to miss out.
5. Having done the above, begin to take some chances on significant moves for younger players to sprinkle into an established Premier League squad ✅
6. Try to compete for Europe/cups/top 10 ⏳

signs so far that the clubs trying to support this next phase with ESR/Kevin/Chuk/JKA/Bobb. Obviously no guarantees in a very competitive league.

We're on plan. This was always the path reportedly, it's just that some didn't trust that process to play out. Fair enough, but here we are 👌

If he can't get in City's team how the hell is he going to get in Fulham's ?

it's about Silva will coax and motivation the maximum out of him alongside the belief in his ability to improve the team further up the table.

Hmmm mostly an imagined plan by you, I think to justify your unwavering (and slightly suspicious) defence of TK. I mean, i don't know you're wrong, but nor do you know how we'd have done in an alternate reality where we spent ambitiously (and on youth) from 2022, rather than waiting until August/September 2025. But anyway, I'm very happy with our transfers since then, and with our current outlook, no doubt so are you, so I guess those days of arguing are behind us.

I'd be more worried about what clauses Man City have put in his contract.

Looks like they still have a degree of control over his future.

Nope
It came from silva himself

I quoted the interview at the time here. He explained that having established ourselves with experience, now has been the right the time to begin to address adding some youth etc. That + previous stories and interviews supporting that, and what has materialised matching that, has made it clear that was the intended approach. Evidently.

Indeed who knows how it'd have gone. But it's going well as things stand so glad indeed to be happy together regarding that.
Not sure why supporting recruitment when i think it's been done well is suspicious, are you suggesting I work for the club or AM tony? 😂🤣
Have said I felt the summer was a bit slow even for me and that we were short of a CM. But it's turned out we've managed to compete regardless again. Which I'm happy with 🤷

Glad to hear you are too.

This seemed clear at the time, you pushed back against me relentlessly over it, but I have maintained this is how it looked to me throughout the last couple yrs, going off of many interviews about our approach to promotion and sustainability this time out. Many quotes from club and manager supported this over the years, about keeping squad core together, adding experience, sustainable growth. All this was reflected in our actions and approach.

Then we have, the last couple windows begun to actively lower the age adding youth to an established group...as confirmed by Silva above.

Now that said. Yes I agree no one can know how it would of gone had we tried a different route, so we can only deal with what did happen, and fortunately the much criticised route the club picked has fortunately been working closely to how they'd hoped.

The only other approach we tried as a club that could hint at what an alternative path might have played out... was we tried a fast track heavy expenditure ambitious route famously, and  got relegated straight away. They evidently took a step back and tried a different approach with Silva. Fortunately it's working. Now obviously doesn't mean it would have happened again, but I see why they opted for what they did 🙏

On Skysports saying Bobb due medical today and states this:

" The agreement contains a 20 per cent sell-on clause and City also have matching rights should Fulham eventually sell Bobb on to another club."

What does 'matching rights' mean?

Presumably the right to match an offer to buy Bobb back (nice tongue twister)

If for example Arsenal offer 70 million and we accept it, Manchester City can match that offer and we have to accept it as well. Then, it's up to the player to chose an option he prefers.

I'm fully onboard with this, it's been sensible from the club but now is the time to get some really exciting young players with high ceilings and high future transfer fees.

If we could get a prime number 8, we could leave the striker position til summer then I think we have a fantastic opportunity to try and get into Europe this season. It's exciting

Harrys ToffeeKnees

Genuinely gutted to see him leave. An incredible touch and sense of space that we haven't had around the box since David Silva left. He's currently short of fitness and confidence, but if he can regain those, and if you can show patience, you'll soon appreciate what you've got.

Thanks for the input Harry. We're all very excited about his ceiling here and Marco and indeed Fulham are becoing pretty well regarded for developing players in this sort of situation.

He's hoping he can rekindle that earlier promise.
