Strong Bench

Where's Cairney though?

SerbianLad

No TC at all and Castagne ahead of Tete are my main 2 problems with that. Hopefully, though, we'll play well.

Shame not to see Tete start but was likely to be the case coming back from injury.

What a bench but can't believe no TC. That seems an oversight he's routinely turned games around when we need something different at the 8. Sketchy one that, maybe he's not 100%

Trusty Steed

Bobb & Muniz! On the bench, but good to see them. Least Jimenez won't have to do a full 90mins

Must be sick or injured, no way he wouldn't make the bench

But he was fit enough for 2 previous matches according to Marco and was even on the bench in the previous match. He's been fit for a while now. I guess Marco may have had the Man City match in his mind as we play them on Wednesday already and it's probably more important to have Tete there than against Everton.

Surprised there's no TC even on the bench. Hopefully he's not injured.

Always want TC as an option but looking at it who could we drop off that without losing key cover? If Berge got injured then Reed is the only one who can play 6. Got to have both wingers and striker. Can't lose the defenders without a lack of cover. Pretty crazy really. The prem could do with allowing one more sub as you seem to be short somewhere without it. Prob the only option would be King but that would raise eyebrows

Flip me - that's a proper looking bench

You could easily lose Robinson. Marco rarely had 3 defenders on the bench when we had a fully fit squad in the past seasons. Bassey can cover lb and cb and Tete would cover RB. Worst case scenario, if both Sess and one of the cb'e were to get injured you could easily move Castagne to lb, Tete rb and then Bassey cb. Only way it becomes an issue is if both fullbacks and a cb get injured, but that is highly unlikely and we'd have a similar problem in other positions too, if 3 midfielders got injured for example.

Yeah thought that after. Prob raise eyebrows even more! Has been poor recently of course so yeah that is prob the only thing you could do. Who would affect the game more coming on? Could easily argue TC at the moment so defo could have been an option. Really could use one more slot on the bench however!

..FOF..

I think Fulham's strength in the transfer windows is access to amazing medical technology.

The Cravenette

I'm old enough to remember the days of only one substitute. How did we manage???

Cap tip to Chukwueze to be available and to play, in spite of his recent loss and Moms' funeral/wake.  Gotta be tough thing, emotionally.  Maybe needs to play and stay active to take his mind off.  Well done to the lad and hope he can have a game.

That is a seriously strong bench! We're obviously lacking some quality/depth in central midfield, but apart from that, have we ever had a stronger bench? I hope Silva will be a bit more proactive with his subs when he's got all these quality attacking players on the bench. I can't wait to see what Kevin/Bobb/King/Muniz can do against a tired defence! Maybe it's a bit too soon for Bobb, but I'm hoping for a relatively early triple sub today!

Our midfield will already be better once Lukic and TC come back, but I do agree that it's still probably our weakest part of the squad.
