I agree Bog. The old City were a proper football team, now they are a magnet for plastic fans with their dodgy oil money.

It may be a bit Hobson's choice but personally I'd rather Arsenal won it.

He's just doing what he's been told.

Buck stops with Arteta, he's got the conservatism of Mourinho and the reluctance to counter attack of Pep's false 9-era Man City. They have a lot of direct and pacy players but they don't get the most from them because they follow an overly rigid and risk averse structure.

Spot on, it's absolutely painful. Obviously operating at a far higher level, but the conservatism has shades of Parker. They're not confident in breaking teams down, and when up try and settle on it rather than consolidating their superiority.

These minor things have really set a rot in, ie not trying to beat Forest away but taking a one point gain as City lost. I think that result was a disaster for a club that's as psychologically brittle as they are.

For them it's a good thing that they're next playing Spurs away. If ever a game would let you forget about a previous match and just be up for the match on its own merits, this is the perfect one.

Could be new manager bounce for Spurs.

A new manager called Tudor and Spurs' propensity to axe their managers - it couldn't go wrong, could it?

Quote from: Dodgin on February 18, 2026, 10:29:13 PMNot sure that the late Trossard injury was genuine, if it wasn't it probably cost them the win

The Wolves player should have been sent off!    A shoulder to the face off the ball is a clear red.  If that happened to one of our players we'd be up in arms!

The Wolves bloke should have gone off for smashing Trossard with his shoulder.

Can't understand why people thought Trossard was acting.  The bloke smashed him in the face with his shoulder.

Probably controversial, but I'd much rather Man City won it. From my experience(which is admittedly only online experience and not in person experience), Man City fans are probably the nicest fans of the "big club" fans. Despite all the trophies they've won, they're actually more humble and less entitled than other "big club" fans and even than some of "smaller club" fans. Arsenal fans, on the other hand are usually insufferable. One of the worst fan bases, in terms of the online fan bases at least. There are obviously exceptions in both set of fans (terrible Man City fans and very fair Arsenal fans), but the majority of the two fan bases, in my experience, are like this.

As for the oil money/plastic thing, I obviously don't like it at all, but all "big clubs" had huge injections of cash at some point in history, Man City is just the latest, and other clubs had shady owners too. As for how much money they've spent recently, there are clubs that have spent more money in recent years, including Arsenal(just to be clear, I'm talking about net spend). So I really don't see a particular reason why I'd be sympathetic towards them.

Oh, and also, Arsenal play the most boring football in the league. I'm not a huge fan of Man City's style either, as I think it's a bit robotic, but I really dislike watching Arsenal. They played much more enjoyable brands of football under Wenger, or even Emery.

You might interpret this as nitpicking (not meant to be) but it's desserts with TWO s's.....as in something sweet you eat after the main course which is the correct spelling you were after here for this popular phrase.

Meanwhile deserts are dry, arid, barren places where there is no habitation.....much like when Tottenham are playing at home after blowing another lead in their fast emptying stadium with 15 minutes or more to go....lol

Just saying

Was given tickets to the Emirates a few years ago, Arsenal v Leeds in FA Cup. I thought Fulham fans were moaners, but bloody hell, the Arse fans around me never stopped whinging - that's when they weren't going off for beer and burgers during the match.

Any chance of a points deduction for Citeh.............

I personally would prefer Fulham FC to win it.

Remember when Billy Wright - of over 100 England caps, and married to one of the Beverly sisters singing group, was their manager in the 60's: I used to go down there then when Fulham were away, and they used to moan like heck about him!
