Hardly a word said about it,not like last season and all the Hullabaloo about Hollywood Wrexham.
Lincoln have done it with hardly any budget.

Remember years ago drove all the way to Lincoln for our game. Parked in the Club car park, got out only to be told the game had just been called off due to a waterlogged pitch. But I agree fabulous achievement by them. In the Championship for the first time in 60+ years

I was. One of the greatest nights without a doubt. In typical Fulham fashion we had the title in our grasp but still blew it - against 10 men. But we were very grateful not to blow the whole thing - hanging on at the end. They had Cunningham up top who went on to have a more than decent career - and the real Phil Neale at left back who also captained Worcester to the County Championship - back in the days you could. So yes - many congrats - they deserve it - brought about 3,000 that night which at the time was huge for Lincoln. Interestingly the last time they played in the Second Division 65 years ago - to give it the proper name - Liverpool were also in it!

I was there. On the way to the ground on Fulham Palace Road I spotted a lad from school, who I knew was a Brentford fan. I called out hello to him anyway, he nodded back and swiftly melted into the crowd. Unknown to me, two Lincoln fans were walking behind me and apparently talking about attacking me, until my 6 foot plus cousin, walking directly behind them with my Dad, politely informed them that if they touched me their remains would never be found. On entering the ground they spotted my schoolmate, who had gone into the Putney end to support them against us. He nearly got beaten up by them and was quite bitter about the whole experience in school the next day.

After Kent Refinery shutdown i was lucky enough to avoid redundancy and got a job with BP Oil in Victoria and i started going regularly in 1982 until i stopped going in the 1998/99 season. Missed the Tigana years etc., but couldn't justify the 14 GBP a game season ticket + train fares. Now i'm in Thailand i get to see every game including FA Cup and Carabao Cup games for 2,000 Baht (under 50 Quid) a season.

Yep, I was there, my 16th birthday- hammy end for the game, then on to the pitch at the end, then into the Stevenage rd stand to get a close look at the team on the balcony - Great night - nervy, but brilliant

Used to collect programmes one of my favourites was a ancient Lincoln city program with a number on front,the holder of this lucky number won the princely sum of £1.You know I never saw that done on any other program I ever possessed ! It's taken sometime maybe 60 years but we'll done Lincoln !

ITV's EFL highlights programme has been singing Lincoln's praises for several weeks as promotion has got closer. Indeed, Lincoln's last two matches have featured as its main match ahead, even, of the vital Championship games. Sky's football website had a feature on Lincoln on its front page for several days and BBC have something there now.

Just as Wrexham's third consecutive promotion last season rightly drew attention (I don't see any reason to take a swipe at them and downplay their achievement), so I think Lincoln's rise from non-league ten years ago to soon rubbing shoulders with illustrious names of the likes of Wolves, Sheffield United and Stoke has been deservedly celebrated. Maybe you haven't looked in the right places.

Sky and BBC and the press have hardly mentioned Lincoln,until they actually sewed the title up on Saturday..Last season all you heard from them was Wrexham this and Wrexham that all season,and their American owners.
Lincoln's achievement is far greater than the money backed Wrexham.
