All the managers I have ever met have a belief that they can make a change - whether that be a player's attitude , style of play , results or interaction with the board . They wouldn't be football managers if they didn't have that self belief. Marco is very ambitious, committed , enthusiastic and has a great deal of self belief - if he thinks he can ' change ' the situation down the road he might well take it.

Anyway - he is still giving 100% to us and I hope he stays

I don't think it's necessarily a question of Marco being good enough as a manager, I just think he wont be given the time, patience or respect by the club, board, fans.

Marco is best suited to a club like Fulham, a project where he can build it. Chelsea want results yesterday, they've bought a shockingly bad squad for the money they've spent, he could win a trophy and still get sacked such is Chelsea's expectations vs their reality..

Marcus

I think he will only get it if others turn them down, which is not a good starting point for anyone going into a new job. I am still hopeful he will be our manager come August. Anyway, we have nicer fans and our ground is the envy of fans across the country, even world.

Holders

I doubt if he'd want to go to that bunch of cheating prima donnas.
Non sumus statione ferriviaria

The Old Count

I don't know how true it is but I've heard he has some admirers at Real Madrid. Evidently his agent has had some (very?)early stage discussions with the Madrid hierarchy.
I don't think anyone would turn that one down. If he did take it I'd say thanks and good luck.

Whitestone

The president of Real Madrid wants Mourinho.

Silva may be a candidate for Chelsea but I very much doubt that he's anywhere near first choice.

I'm getting fed up with all this will he won't he. Whatever will be will be. I just wish they'd get on with it.

fulhamfan

change the thread title. Marco is 4th favourite now

They're so bad at the moment that you'd almost wish him well.

BUT it would annoy me every time he won a game there. When Rosenior went to Chelsea he was so inoffensive (in a Scott Parker/David Brent way), but it still grated on me when he was arrogant after each win. I am sure with Silva it would be the same.

Perhaps he could go there and immediately placate the Fulham fans by making Tosin train with the youth team (like they had Sterling doing)

He'd probably sell Tosin back to us - that would go down well!
