Arsenal Vs Athletico Madrid... Look out for Lookman

Agree about their fans, we found ourselves in the Atletico fan zone before the final & they were very friendly.

Totally the opposite experience for me. The only time I've ever been attacked by fans was by Athletico fans (twice) on the continent, in two different cities.

I want Arsenal to win, I don't see the clear penalty, and I'm an Arsenal fan, can't say I'm worse than you, but you never know.

I've already stated that there are exceptions, and I definitely don't consider you to be a poor fan, quite the opposite. But, by and large, from my experience online, they have the worst set of fans in the world by some margin.

As far as the penalty is concerned, come on, it was 100% a penalty. Calafiori stomped on Griezmann's foot, it couldn't have been more clear. And the "foul" ij the build-up that was the reason it was ruled out apparently, was never a foul. Gabriel missed the ball and kicked an Atletico player. If anything, that too was a penalty, rather than a foul by Atletico. There were two incidents that I didn't even mention when Simeone was clearly having his shirt pulled, and those two could easily have been penalties too.


Arteta and Arsenal players wasted way more than 35 or whatever seconds that the referee added on to the added time too.

I personally hope that PSG or Bayern absolutely trash them in the final.

So why did the ref and var give foul to Gabriel if it was a foul by him ?, as for shirt pulling they were both as bad as each other, seems nowadays all players do it, not too many get pulled up for it. The one thing that really annoyed me was all the Arsenal subs crowding the line, the ref should have stopped the game and made them sit down.

You dislike Arsenal and I dislike A.Madrid, the commentator commented on A,Madrid "dark arts".
Still there we go matey, we all have our reasons for things, good place to leave it.

I can't see what did the Atletico player do wrong there. And after that, it's a crystal clear foul on Griezmann.

I'm not a fan of Atletico, and I would have cheered for PSG/Bayern in the final if they won too. I just dislike Arsenal more than I do Atletico.

Lookman is an enigma. He plays in fits and starts. Too erratic a player in my book. He was also at Leicester on loan but Rodgers didn't want to sign him and Atalanta were happy to sell him. Lookman was also at Everton and Leipzig. He started his career at Charlton.

He had a great chance to score in the first leg against the Arse in the CL semi-final but was anonymous in the second.

I've followed Lookman since he went to Atalanta and on his day he can be unplayable (one of only around 20 professionals to get a prefect 10 from L'Equipe magazine after his faultless performance and hat-trick v Leverkusen in the Europa Cup Final)

But consistency is the thing in footballers and that's why the likes of Messi and Ronaldo were always paid the big bucks.
