🚨🔴⚫️🇲🇦 #Ligue1 |

👀 Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal wants to join Fulham but...

❌ Despite the constraints related to FFP, Stade Rennais has no intention of selling the Moroccan defender this summer.

💰 Only an exceptional offer could change the Breton club's position.

Would rather we bought Nwaiwu if that deal can be revived. He looks might impressive and 'oven ready'

Sounds dead in the water. Allegedly new agent making silly demands added to the constant goal post shifting from TS who didn't really want to sell meant we've ended up walking away and moving to other targets.

I agree he looks a physical beast but having signed Salah and links to Darwin Nunez also it seems they are all in on trying to win a title this year. Some rumour they also buffed up Nwaiwu's wages too so on th surface deal looks unlikely.

That said - I think this Ait Boudlal kid looks a big ceiling tbh. Just might not be quite ready to be a prem starter physically as others we've been linked too. Like the link though

BBC Sport has a story about the Salah and how the economics has helped the big Turkish clubs spend big because their currency is cheap and they are earning Euros from European competitions. May explain why they don't need to sell Nwaiwu.

He moved for 21 million pounds sterling with add ons that can reach up to 34.5 million pounds sterling so they paid 21 million to buy him great bit of business

Yeh I like Atta and that's not a terrible price either way - but fwiw it was reported by beinsports and  Fabrizio as 30m euros up front (£25.6m) up to 40m euros (£34.2m) with addons and a sell-on percentage of 30%

But either way he's an 8 and it seems likely our target there is Pitarch since Arbeloa has joined... and I'd be very happy with that tbh. Might well work out cheaper up front too.

fulhamfan

lukic off apparently

Could mean we go for Pitarch and Charles

Where are you seeing this? Is it the training video omission theory?

jayffc

Yup Lukic off seemingly - clearly wasn't in the motspur park training videos.

Coincides with reports of being very close with Shea Charles and Pitarch so makes sense I suppose.

Good job Ipswich, they are giving themselves a real fighting chance- going in a similar way to us buying prem experience this time to try and secure their survival.

I look forward to our 6 pointer at the Cottage on the 8th May.

Neutral Zone Ultra

Been a good player for us Lukić and sad to see him go. But now is the right time to sell and upgrade.

Neutral Zone Ultra

Going to back to the comment someone made about Berge and Man United- obviously I'd rather Berge didn't go but part of me feels there's a good opportunity to try and scam them given it seems their fans are getting a bit aggy that they haven't made any big money signings yet. Ok £70m is probably unlikely but I would definitely test the waters at £50m-£55m and see if they nibble.

For me this would maybe be a step too far in swapping our 2 Main CMs in one window. I would like to hold on to one for some continuity, especially cos we're seemingly going so young on the rest of the midfield spine (Charles, Pitarch, Palacios)

Unless they offer something absolutely ridiculous which allows us to bring in a mega talent or a Danilo type who's had experience in the league it feels a big risk otherwise. Especially with TC currently crocked.

SimonDaviesEnjoyer

Yeah hold onto Berge, only sell if they volunterily take their pants down for 70m.

Mad to me that, I think id prefer lukic than berge. Berge is good defensively and I feel a bit of a top player in his class. But he has only shown one dimension for us in a Fulham shirt so far.

Id personally argue lukic is the more complete midfielder, he can be relied upon in either role.

Fulham 1879

@Willham I agree that Lukic is the more complete midfielder. In fact, he's the only one who showed any energy in midfield last season. Berge has been a very limited player under Silva. You can only hope, if he stays, that Arbeloa will manage to get a tune out of him. As to his transfer value, Transfermarkt assess it as €25m. Even if Man U are desperate, and don't realise they're actually getting a taller Ugarte to replace Ugarte, they'll never go above mid-thirties surely? I'd happily sell him for anything north of £25m.

Bronaldinho

Feels like the right decision to move Lukic on given he has year left on his deal. A good player on his day, but a jack of all trades, specialist of none.

He'll be a loss though as he knows the league and the two we're targeting don't have that.

Good signing for Ipswich will be an upgrade on what they have, but find Lukic quite limited.

At least Berge is more disciplined in that midfield - although agree with sentiment above if 70m comes our way, it makes sense.

There's no chance of Ipswich still being in a position to challenge for a European spot in May.

I think it says alot that one of them is linked with a 40m+move to United and the other is going to Ipswich for what will probably you'd think be around a quarter of that tbh. No way I would sell Berge for 25m in this climate as mentioned above.

I like Lukic and I think he's maybe a little underrated by the league, but he's very limited. Solid, reliably decent, but rarely spectacular. Berge was very good in his first season but last year didn't quite hit the same level, but on the balance I think there's more to his game than Sasa and would rather keep him.

Very grateful for Sasa but the rebuild is underway and time to ditch some wages and use that fee to good effect

Yes! This is the way.

Bronaldinho

Thinking more about it - The Berge United rumours are heating up. They've missed out on Ederson, Tonali and now Tchaoumeni is injured. Feels like Sander will be targeted.

Only fear here is are we spending the Berge money on Charles, and replacing Lukic with Pitarch.

Be nervous to lose both Berge and Lukic in one window. Berge especially as we don't have a disciplined DM.
