Not a bad performance that - difficult away draw, confident opponent with some proper quality. AA used the subs well, and some cute performances. Angel is teeny, but clearly hyper technical. We'll have to see how much game time he gets, but could absolutely imagine a situation where he, Charles and Berge form a really good midfield.

Palacios is an absolute bargain at €10m. Tremendous first half by him. Good to see Bobb on the score sheet. Kevin very disappointing again.

I'd imagine Angel would need to bulk up a bit to not get bullied week-in, week-out

I think AA has got the tactics sorted out, we kept them at arms length for 95% of the game and if it wasn't for individual errors/not being as switched on as they should be, we don't concede in that game. Palacios against less physical teams or ones who leave us with a bit of space will be lethal, once he's truly acclimatised to the PL he's going to be some player. Andersen & Cuenca looked a bit suspect again and Reed should never see the pitch again unless it's 2 mins on GW38 to say goodbye

I don't even know what ESR provides anymore. The man only wants to play for Arsenal and they don't even want him.

And Antonee provided a perfect target.  WHam gave him far too much space and opportunity.

I don't even know what ESR provides anymore. The man only wants to play for Arsenal and they don't even want him.

The problem with ESR is he doesn't make a huge impression in build up play, but he can score goals with his movement in the box. Today there were 2 situations that could have led to a goal but didn't. So because he wasn't able to score, you're left wondering what he's done. Kind of similar with Harry Wilson, but he had worldies in his locker.

Thoughts
: Timmy had a great game. Probably won't play against Utd? Cuenca impressed. Palacios had a good first half but faded in the second. ESR was anonymous but did the boring things OK. Bobb showed why he is chosen over Kevin who did not impress me. Our possession game misfired a few times because of loose ball control though WH's strong pressure might have contributed to that. King looked good again when he got on the pitch and Garcia did OK in his short cameo. Robinson saw plenty of the ball and was always a threat; he even cut in and had a shot once ! -
Reed was poor. Andersen did nothing wrong. Everyone else had solid games. Muniz scored a good goal but faded.

Palacios was particularly good in the first half. Some brilliant defending at the end by Castagne

I am so pleased for Bobb. Properly over the mooon for the guy.

With a nod to the big guy in midfield, Larsson? (apologies, I should know this), he looked quality on the ball, but in Charles I think we actually have a proper player.

Always satisfying to beat West Ham home or away. They were a real bogey team for a while.

Hard to read too much into a game where both teams didn't have their first 11 on show. We have some good players and when they get used to each other and the PL could be good. We don't create enough chances for the possession we have, and aren't clinical when we do get in shooting positions, but there are some good things brewing.

I thought we were far better than WHU tonight and only nearly didnt win due to our usual defensive balls ups which are hopefully gonna be rare once bassey and affengrubber are back

Worth noting that if we get an away draw tonight that will mean we have three consecutive away games,
So ideally we get a home draw, just to make life easier for both the players and supporters.
