Newcastle Predictions & Lineup

After our well earned 1-1 draw away to Aston Villa on Saturday evening, we move on to Newcastle at home this Saturday which is a 3pm kick off.

Newcastle lost 1-0 at home to Everton last night however, they were relatively poor, and it should have been by a lot more.

Early odds have Fulham for the win 21/20, Newcastle for the win 11/5 with a draw at 13/5.

Jacob Ramsey was sent off in the 98th minute so will miss this one for Newcastle whilst Ryan Sessegnon returns for Fulham after his 3 match ban.

Fulham's last 6 league results are D, D, L, W, W, D

If Fulham can get their shooting boots on for this one, and be more clinical in front of goal, then I can't see why we can't come away with 3 points.

Based on that, what team do you think Arbeloa will put out, and what do you predict the score to be?

I can't see anything other than the same XI that started against Villa with Sess coming in on the bench for Angel and 3 points for Fulham if, as the op says, we finally become clinical.

That's a big IF

Fulham 1879

Don't change what's working.

Yep, absolutely no need to change anything.
Really loving the CM partnership between Berge and Charles, they seem to be able to really dictate the game from there.
Also got fingers crossed that Garcia starts scoring, he deserves it and think it could do him the world of good.

However i saw this about Newcastle "they have scored just once from their past 47 shots in all competitions." which always worries me!!!

A situation that is almost certain to produce a worldie or a horrible deflected goal. We have been there so often.

Or do a Burnley on us and score 2 with one shot on target.

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Hell, we've only scored once from our past 40 shots in all competitions!

This really needs to be a win by multiple goals. We're at home against a struggling team with a manager under fire, and who have had two fewer rest days than us plus have a player suspended.

We really need to prove we can win games convincingly and put the ball in the net when opportunities come our way. Big afternoon for Garcia in particular but also the team as a whole.

We are both struggling teams whether we like that or not. Neither team has shown any cutting edge this season so I am predicting a 0-0 draw.

I certainly don't think we will lose this one. If (and it's a big if) we get our shooting boots on then a win may a good margin is a distinct possibility.

As to the starting eleven I would bring Sess straight back in, he can link up with Jedi who showed a bit of form against Villa, and he knows where the goal is. I would probably give Iwobi a rest, he has looked jaded last couple of games.

Is it working?

I am not saying it isn't working but we are toothless and the opposition only needs to get one and the chances of us winning are almost zero. I am advised our xG is brilliant and I am thrilled to know that but we haven't scored enough goals ad in the end that is the object of the game.

However, with the squad we have there isn't much room for manoeuvrer.

We don't score much but on the other hand since the Chelsea game we don't concede much.

I'm going 1-0 (Garcia)

Keep the same team IMHO.

I would replace Alex with Sess if things are turning sour as a first sub (on the assumption that Alex is playing LW)  followed with Palacios if needed.  If winning and need control then TC all the way.

2 - 0 with GG scoring ( I hope  ::wink:: )

Same team scoring more goals this time.

I keep having the dream where TC comes on and plays a Murphy type ball through to Garcia who runs on to it and lashes it into the top corner
