Having now seen the replays, have to admit that what appeared to me and others as cast iron pens, where not. So Mr Clattenberg, I apologise for calling you some names, you were spot on.

Mark Clattenberg can kiss finnster's six balls! He missed two penalty shots in my eyes.

na I'm with peabody, thought we should have gotten 3 penalties yesterday for gera, dempsey and elm. turns out that gera tackled himself, for dempsey it was a top class tackle and bramble DID get the ball first. I haven't seen a replay of the elm penalty, I thought he got plled down - anyone seen it?

blingo

hes still a **** for not giving at least one of them  :59:

The Elm incident was one of those situations were two players got a bit tangled up without it being clear that one was deliberately fouling the other. We've seen them given, and we've seen them not given. Personally when there is the level of doubt that to my eyes there was in this case, they shouldn't be given.

With Peabody here...felt a tad embarrased afterwards.

Should have known better after his sterling performance's at Fratton Park in May 08 and the Reebok this season.

Fulham for the cup

This discussion is a magnificent example why technological help for the officials will only work with regard to the ball crossing the line or not.

I have had a number of discussions/arguements where people have suggested the 4th official can review video of contentious events, limited to two appeals per team per match (or each team can appeal every time, but when turned down on two of them then the right to appeal is lost, or variations on the theme) and this is a prime example of why it will not work. As suggested, BIG teams may well get the sort of penalty we did not on Saturday, whilst we probably will not. Video technology will, I believe, only favour the big teams even more than they enjoy now.
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

Spot on. Players were sent off this week fot tackles that were not even fouls in other games.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I still think Bramble clattenberged into Demps.
Finn and Corked Hat, you are forever part of the family.
