I know the guy is a great tactician, but is it waaaayy to soon for him?

Frankie-Peter Taylor

Don't know until you try I guess. Got some experienced with the Manchester United reserves and now winning the Norwegian league. A bit of a risk that I wouldn't feel comfortable taking, but could be a risk worth taking...

Walsh

if I was Villa I would take Solskjaer as the manager.

MJG

Better than going for the usual suspects who always seem to get the jobs.
He had a good rep at Utd with the reserves and if I was a villa fan I would be quite happy with him.

That's an easy decision to take looking through the window at Villa, Walsh and MJG.  Imagine if I told you he was coming to Fulham to replace Jol. How would you feel?  I'd feel worried.
Finn and Corked Hat, you are forever part of the family.

Even if Solskjaer is inexperienced, he has a brilliant tactical brain. Very intelligent guy.

I would he surprised but he would not be in a position to take us over due to where we just finished.
Villa fans have just had a manager they never wanted and yes he's an unknown with regards what he will do but given their position they will be happy.
I would rather someone like him instead of say Bruce etc.

He should really replace Wenger at Arsenal in a couple of seasons. A natural fit for The Gunners I would have thought.

With you all the way there MJG. So many half arsed managers seem to keep popping up here there and everywhere after
doing sod all at their previous clubs. Some would show their CV in any other industry and wouldn't even get an interview !  092.gif

In large part I think it may depend on the coaching staff he is able to surround himself with.

Hope he stays put. Young managers taking the first big job they're offered doesn't always turn out well, look at AVB...

AVB was a poor man manager at a club filled with enough huge egos to last him a lifetime. Solskjaer would only have an issue with someone like N'Zogbia, because for all the talent he has, he can never be bothered to turn up for anyone or anything.

And RE AVB Porto are hardly a small club.

From what I understand solskjaer was very highly rated at united when coaching, and at least a couple of my united mates would like to see him replace ferguson one day.

AVB did alright with the likes of Hulk and Falcao at Porto to be fair.

Yea valid point, but I still hope Solskjaer stays where he is for another season or so.
