Thought I'd share this.  I've just heard that I'm going to be playing against MURALITHARAN on Saturday in a league game!!!!  Think I should complain to the umpire for chucking!!!!

Fantastic mate! What do you think the chances are of you hitting him for 6?

Best of luck mate.  Whatever the peculiarities of his action (and they are a major point of debate), the man is definitely one of the greatest spinners of all time.  His record proves that. However you do (and here's to a big score) it should be a fascinating experience.  Cheers.

He is.  Not as much as he used to.  Plays in the 2's every other week now.  I've played with Matty for 15 years.  We used to play a early friendly against Hillingdon

A few years ago our 1st xi played against John Emburey, he was playing for Maidenhead and Bray, he got 6 wickets but went for plenty because everyone was flying down the wicket trying to smash him for six

Years ago it was a much looked forward to game against your boys, late stays at both grounds. Remember Ollie, Matt, the Basterville and Reid brothers etc. Keep saying to Matt we`ll have to ressurect the fixtures, your lot are bit better than us now, in the old days we were probably stronger
