Double and treble your efforts this this week. A good run now and you will be forgiven.

It is easy to post Jol out after we lose but like a lot of others there may be second thoughts.

No matter what we do V stoke I think Jol's time is up.

His body language at the end of the game, his demeanor on the bench, the fact he was physically so isolated from the players and the staff, that he was so lacking in animation, spoke volumes.

certainly do all the things you say, but I think from what I saw of those sitting in the board of directors seats, they didn't look like they were going to be patient.

It is easy to post Jol out after such a long run of poor performances, six home defeats in the last seven games and the other a singkle point to WBA. What was really galling against cardiff was the ease with which he changed the team from Tuesday, that looked so good against everton, to one that looked worse V cardiff. after winning the thing to do was keep the same side, he didn't even have the sense to do that.

We keep 11 back at corners and still conceed goals. We take free kicks inside the opposition half, that end up going 5 yards sideways and playing ourselves into pressure situations and end up with our own keeper, we make two or three chances a game, we take off a proven goalscorer when we need a goal, we take off a young player at 40 minutes to demoralise him. he allows berba to argue with and intimidate his own side.....  the list goes on.

Change is always troubling but we nee to make it sooner rather than later to allow a new man the chance to have time.

I support Fulham first and foremost, but there are so many things that Jol has done that doesn't make sense. I don't think anyone has any idea who he is going to pick each week - he has no idea on his preferred side. and I'm sorry, Ruiz and Berbatov can't play in the same side..... and due to attitude issues I'd rather have Bryan playing in the hole

Well that young player was doing absolutely nothing so, he changed it and it worked for a time.

You cannot scream (not you personally) at Jol to do something or to change it and when he does then moan about it.
As for taking off Bent, well to be honest he done nothing either, i think Jol wanted more from midfield and Taarabt can supply this, unfortunately he did'nt.

I think Jol has to learn to take off Berbatov occasionally, but cannot see him doing that.

As for Jol's lacking in animation, i do recall that Roy did not move around very much just stood their stroaking his face, i do not recall seeing him on very many occasions shouting at players.

I don't think you need to shout at players as they should all know their Jobs before the game starts. You have seen the clip boards before a substitution is made. I also feel that Jol should have started with the team that finished the Everton game however he could always have had the subs on for tired legs. The thing is Jol would have watched them in training on the Friday. We don't know what he saw then to make him change it.

You mentioned Roy but we were as good as down 3 games from the end of the season and in every game until the end. But we could at least hold on to a 1-0 in those days. we also had some fight about us. The position we are in now reminds me of that season. I remember booking the tickets for the Portsmouth and saying to my Son "This will either be our last game in the premier or such a wonderful day out that we have to be there"

I know that one day it will be our last day in the premier but I don't want to lose our status this meekly. If this season is our last I want us to be fighting every game

Hey Mr E, just to clarify if we go on and win the next 5 games would you still have the same feeling.

please note this is not an arguing point just a general question if you would be someway satisfied if it should happen.

I understand you don't need to shout at players, the point i was making that Roy and various other managers Ferguson for instance very rarely said much to players, Jol standing there with his arms folded is no different to Roy standing there rubbing is chin. Roy had the advantage of having those players at the right time, most of them that are still here are on the downward slope.

It does prompt the question then that if the player was doing nothing for 40 minutes, how did he get into the starting line-up?

Is the player lazy? If it's not the player who is lazy, then it has to be the tactics? If it's not the tactics then it has to be other players on the team -- basically it all comes down to the guy that has control of those scenarios, and he's the one that picks the team each week.

I think that is probably true, but then he hasn't got good enough players to replace the ones who are there.

It could be that a player is being marked out of the game by a very good opponent. That being the case the manager should change the team to either bypass that player or assist him. Football seems quite a simple game but the manager is the tactician

I agree with most of your points. However, keeping the same XI that wins doesn't neccessarily mean you're gonna play just as good. Look at Man Utd they beat Liverpool midweek, in the cup. Moyes kept the same X! and they went and got done by WBA.

Good point, good point.

Would the manager not take that into consideration and select a line up that he would be able to move around somewhat. I seem to recall Roy managed to have Duff flip sides without much issue.

Well, to be fair, many of us post Jol out after we draw ... and on those very rare occasions when we win as well.

Forever Fulham

They have to sort out marking responsibilities in the box. Is it fair to say Brede has cost us 6 points?  I know he's everyone's favourite, a beloved figure, but it's like he goes to sleep at times now.  Amorebieta looks a little confused on set pieces and when in the final third.  He gets a pass as he's learning the habits and inclinations of the incumbents.  In the back half, he's just fine.  Richardson...  That's some of the worst centering I've ever seen.  He didn't just miss the area by a little.  He was booting balls into the stands.  Where's his touch?  Until he crosses the midfield line, he's OK.  Stoke is coming to goon it up.  We need Senderos, not Hangeland, to stand penetrators up and shut them down.  Riether...  What is going on?  All the smart movement and choices of last year, working with his best buddy, Ashkan.  Covering huge territory.  Reading the unfolding play so well.  He looks, I don't know what the word is--uncertain maybe.  Where's the pluck?  Sidwell wants to be out there.  Senderos wants to be out there.  Parker, a revelation to me, wants to be out there.  Stockdale is doing the job.  We need to see more of Zverotic and Amorebieta.  Taarabt scares me, as he carries the reputation of one who does only what he wants.  And I've been underwhelmed in what little I've seen so far.  Bent needs to be fed the ball.  He can't get a rhythm going if he gets one feed per game.  Get Ruiz nearer the center of the pitch, closer to Berb, both moved up, trailing Bent.  Ruiz on the outside hasn't worked.  Duff, take it to the goal.  Who is making you restrict yourself to the line?  And body language Mr. Jol!  Show some animation.  Don't keep your hands crossed in front of you.  You look like a Dutch cigar store Indian.  Move about.  There, I feel better already.  I'll get off my box now.  We are going to beat Stoke 4-1.
