Anyone else feeling slight 'sheepish' today?

I know it's part and parcel of being a Fulham fan, I mean, I've always had to put up with some sort of embarrassing situation when it comes to Fulham, but this is all really taking the Michael right now. For me, last night wasn't an all time low as a life long Fulham fan, I think Torquay was, but I feel it's an all time low for us at Premiership level.

As I see it, we are nothing more than an embarrassment right now. A club that was once noticed by many for being sensible and clever on how it operated, has now been turned into a complete shambles both on and off the field. Unfortunately, teams like Southampton and Swansea have replaced us and we are now being branded like the Derby's of previous Premiership years.

No only has today been very sheepish for me, creeping around with my head low, but for once, I've lost complete faith in my club. Last night was an absolute disgrace, not only to the fans, but for anyone else who had to witness it. I'm even cringing now thinking about the Sheffield United goal going in.

Rene' said "When it gets this bad, it can't get any worse", oh how naive he is. Believe me Rene', it will get a lot worse than this, we are nailed on to get relegated, unless you are handed nothing but small miracle from the Gods..

The only excuse for the way they played last night was that they wanted to lose, strange but what  other excuse is there?

Yes I have been thinking that. Wished they'd told me that before I travelled a 160 miles round trip, ate a overpriced, under cooked scampy in thr Crabtree, got cold and wet watching their dross.

The Crabtree is never a good idea for a meal Mrs B. Myself and ex colleagues gave up on lunching there as the food always took over an hour to turn up and was often over/under cooked. The staff there are always over stressed and demotivated. Coulod the Crabtree be the root of our problems on the pitch ?

Mrs B, you eat under cooked scampi? Are you still alive? Alive and kicking for the next match no doubt.

Mooch

Not feeling sheepish as such as luckily I work from home so didn't have to avoid eye contact with anyone but man, what a bad mood! Couldn't get any work done, just kept thinking about last night and remembered that I actually started laughing when they scored, it was all too predictable. As a result I registered for FoF!

I have a very strong constitution. This is because my dad brought home any food for us to eat that he could't sell in his shop due to the sell by date.

Lighthouse

I was in a group today and one of the exercises was to learn three things from your neighbour. Name, what they had for breakfast and a third fact about them.

When my neighbour introduced me, when it came to the fact I was a Fulham fan, a universal groan and the odd 'you poor man' came up.

This was a group of bereaved carers so they know what suffering is. But not as bad as mine. :005:

That's a very interesting group. I am a bereaved  carer and found it very lonely when my mum died a year ago. I now befriend a couple of elderly people which has helped me overcome it, plus I am a slight politcal activist, which has given me my sense of purpose back that I lost when my 'caring' ended.

Burt

I beat the tube strike to attend a seminar on trust and engagement in the workplace and sat next to someone who also happened to be a Fulham supporter. We had a therapeutic bitch and moan over lunch which improved my mood. It was better than going in to the office to face the music with all my Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool supporting colleagues. And a Watford one.

Last night I was seathing at the embarassment of losing to a team in the relegation zone of League One who fielded a weakened side so they would be at full strength for their next league match against Shrewsbury. A new low, for sure, and we can't sink any lower.

Now I am just "meh", as my son would put it.

I was thinking in relation to this season... I agree with your Torquay one being the absolute pits, that was awful. Just as well FOF didn't exist in those days, the server would have blown up.
