to rebuild FFC into another Everton i.e. a stable & successful Premiership team

Currently licking his wounds but with a massive point or three to prove

He delivered @ Everton but Man U was too big a step & @ the wrong time

Ability, knowledge, drive, enthusiasm, contacts

He could do worse than use us as a stepping stone to bigger & better things

BUT get us back into the Premiership with a far more capable & able squad - & the means to stay there

Worth a punt before Newcastle or someone else snaps him up?

moyes could be good
a bit dull but very good at what he does
malky is my preference

i was thinking felix but yesterday really knocked the stuffing out of that

I think Moyes would be the nearest thing to Woy and the sort of manager we probably need at present.  Not too flamboyant in playing style, but a good organiser with his teams usually built on a sound defensive unit and each player knowing his job.  Whether or not he would be interested or fall into our price  bracket is another matter.

I'd definitely have Moyes. Not a big fan of McGath, no sign of improvement since he arrived, too many long balls & clearly can't motivate the team - that was clear yesterday.

Reznor

Would love him but no way he would drop down to the championship.

actually he might, but he might not, but unless you ask, you never know.

JIMMY D

Just get him. We got nothing!

FPT

I think he would now see the Championship as a step below him. Plus, I don't want to see his long ball football at Craven Cottage.

we should try and get McLaren looking what hes done a Derby

This thread was going so well until that remark

I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Bill2

I have a funny feeling that McGath will stay.

A manager who couldn't get Man U to win?
Ya I can see it now....... He will magically revamp our hopeless team.
But there are people obsessed with our youth team and want to play our U21 squad as a ready made Championship squad.
Ya the Man U reject would be dying to do that........

Lets stay with the manager.
Lets face reality.
3 in a year is enough

Uhhh.....why not Roy? Very doubtful he'll have a job at the end of the summer. No offense intended toward the English team, but I doubt they are going far enough to ensure that he sticks around for another 4.

Agree with this.

For the past eleven years he has managed to get his team into the top half of the premier league table TEN TIMES, Top 4 once, top 5 twice, top 6 three times, top seven 4 times.  So i cant see him taking a backward step into the Championship, I'm sure Plenty of Premier Clubs will be after him during the summer.

So Sad to see such a friendly Club go down, I hope you can make an immediate return.

Bill.

Should Magath go I would go for Tigana.  Dreaming a bit there, so maybe Pardew.  He's a Fulham fan at heart and I think we could tempt him away from Newcastle where they hate his guts !

Craven Mad

I'd have Moyes here, but he won't come.

I can see Moyes going to Newcastle, and Pardew joining us (should Felix flee back to Germany..).

Moyes  No

Felix  Yes

Mackay  NO. Look where his last club are.

Felix the Phoenix   Yes. At least he will have a whole close season & 46 matches to start the long rebuild of the club that is necessary after being let down by MAF, Mackintosh, & to a certain extent Jol & Mulensteen.
