we were happily premiership mediocrity and safe
then a truely second rate dutch off set us backwards
we sold out to a stay away know nothing owner
we kept an incompetent board that are truly useless
and now we are in free fall going backwards
our fabled youngsters are out if their depth
hutchinson and tunnycliff play and they are so awful
fof and jazz? what for?

an inexperienced manager with no help

everything is spoiled, no fun just dreadful......  league one is surely a very real liklihood

and the owner never appears and sits on his hands.... the new stadium will be a wonderful asset in the conference

time we saw the owner actually make an appearance and do some leading from the front!

i remember thinking a couple months into Jol's reign that this is going to end badly.  I didnt ever think we would be in THIS position though.  Heading towards the last 3 of the championship...eek.

to be honest i didn't want jol because i always thought he underachieved....and was a fantasist.... but the european away game in the faroes proved how clueless he was and the away game in poland was even worse.... i actually hated him.....

but we should not have sacked rene that was the fault of the incompetent board.. and they remain in there overpaid glory... i actually feel ill will toward them because they are ruining my club! they sit there in their clueless directors box looking mystified what is going on they are the worst we have ever had, it is all so unnecesary!

jimmy hill phoned me when it was  not going to well to expalin the situation, this lot have no class like that, just management consultants with no imagination.

Jol for his faults had his hands tied by a tight MAF, who is just as culpable for fulhams demise as its rise, hope his bank balance is happy

You have to feel sorry for KS, he took the caretaker's job almost as a patsy - our opining of the season was just a complete disaster - so he rescues the season and gets the team back on track -- now a complete dip of form - he  must be a very worried man

not his fault but he isn't helping himself by continuing to pick genuinely second rate players like tunny, fof, hutch and of course the physically weak one... the new full back jazz is no better probably worse than grimmer... hugo is generally a waste of space

we need burn in defence. we need woodrow up front given a proper run as the front man not a few minutes here and there... anybody that has access to kit should tell him... and they may suggest the worlds greatest tactician, me, is available to help!

Kit was given a good opportunity by the club and I don't think he was a Patsy. I think a manager with his experience would generally be given a chance in league 1 but his straight first team manager chance was with the Championship. In reality I think he may be a bit out of his depth at the moment.

Ah yes I remember it well.
Mark Hughes Goodbye
We thought a lie
How he dreams
All true it seems
Ah yes I remember it well
Jol a bore
We never score
Carried on
For far too long
Ah yes I remember it well
Do you recall that night
When we gave Europe a fright
How we could have gone on
But then it all went wrong
And now it seems
As years go by
That the club
We love must die.
But yes I remember it well.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Interesting post but why do you think Hutchinson is awful? I think he's done really well since he got back in the side.

I agree with pretty much the rest but I refuse to blame Al Fayed for anything.  It was poor management and bad decisions that got us relegated. Had Mo not sold up we wouldn't have been relegated. He gave me the most incredible experiences and ill always respect him for what he did for us

what surprises me is we screamed that burn must come back and play then after a few matches I kept seeing post that he is to slow and we must play Hutchinson
Hutchinson comes into the side and all the post are we must get Burn back
then i see the posts bring back Tunnicliffe  back he comes and now suddenly he is useless
same as last year get rid of Berbatov he,s a waste of space now all of a sudden he scores against Arsenal  and he will become our wonder player that we should never have let go
why is it the second someone is not playing they suddenly become these great players who should be back in the team
I keep seeing that we should put our youngsters out on loan for experience  many of the players we are now criticising have been out on loan and from what is being said it does not seemed to have improved them at all
I watched Harry Kane when he went on loan at Millwall  (ok nothing great) returned to Spurs did ok but I heard the same things being said about him  from Spurs fans  "not good enough "  now this season he has suddenly clicked and now we are talking about him playing for England
Thats how it is some time it takes a season or two before a player really shines trouble is at Fulham we have brought in to Many  who need time and time is what we have not got It cried out for some players with experience and even more important experience of championship football

I blame MAF for nothing he was what made us a succesful and respected premiership team.

Hutch? gets his head on things, makes a few tackles he is what i would call a reasonable lower league (League one, league twoo or conference) centre half. His positioning off the ball is poorish and looks like a rabbitt caught in a porry headlights when in possesion... he is clearly not the reason we are failing but is symptomatic of why we will not be improving any time  soon.    I am probably a bit harsh where he is concerned but burn looks a top class player in the making and I much prefer him AND Burn is a natural leader and was even made captain if remember correctly once earlier in the season... he leads from the front and is actually a far superior player..... he is left out like so many others before him because he is not afraid to speak up when things are wrong.

until burn is restored you can be assured we are in danger, not bcause burn will solve our ills but becuuse this error is symptomatic of the malaise in the team, it is one of kit's biggest errors.

we keep on about the youngsters  and much of what is said is true
and a lot of the problem has been stated as poor positioning
I have said many times youngsters need good pros around to help them when they are making mistakes on the pitch
apart from Parker I don,t see any really good pros, no real leaders  shouting when needed and putting arms around when that is needed
im not saying the older players are bad players but I do not feel we have any real good pros who can not only play their own game but also help other

Well i certainly blame MAF for the start of our demise, he said no to Hughes when he requested funds, and he said no to JOL when he requested funds to get in couple of class players, he wanted to sell the club after he said that it would be in his family for ever, so yes he has to accept some blame.

Alfie,  I do not know how old you are or how many years you have been a supporter but prior to MAF we were as good as dead in the water regarding the ground and finaces.

He took us from a near death experience to a european final. He is not any part of our current problem, to say that he is is what i think they call in political circles as disingenuous.

I understand your points re what may or may not have happened but when hughes left it was still a good finish, the team in good shape and we still did spend enough to remain in the top flight. Jol was the error, not investment. But if MAF would have remained we would still be in the premiership and even if we would have gone down, there is no way we would not have invested in the last transfer window.

MAF is not any part of our current situation. He saved us and made us great again.
