Any news on a CB?

We are desperately short of quality in that position, we have Kalas as our best option, then Madl and Ream both are comfortable at this level but realistically not players to chase promotion with, then Sigurdsson who seems out of his depth in all honesty. The only other option is Djalo, and I'm not sure he's even talented enough to be considered an option for the reserves, what a pointless signing he was.

This leaves us with Kalas, Ream and Madl as our only good CBs, and only really Kalas is good enough for a promotion chase, possibly being harsh on Ream there but last year was his best ever season, need to see if he can replicate it again.

We need a top quality CB, and we need them quickly.

I am not sure if the club are listening, but you are correct in your observations.

La Liga refusing to sanction Neymar deal, complaining about state-backed clubs destabilising the economics of football. Surely the most hypocritical thing I've heard this year

considering some of their clubs antics in the past it is ridiculous, and leaglly they cannot refuse it Uefa have already stated this.

FA's around europe should say we will refuse to sanction any trabsfers to the spanish league base don this until they get back to within the Uefa remit.

The fee itselkf isnt obscene and absurd but they have a release caluse it has been met so thats that.

I imagine we will see him start in the game against Wycombe on the 8th. I could see it being viewed as a glorified friendly with Butts, Djalo, a youngster (perhaps Edun) and Woodrow all getting the chance to make a case.

Have either of you seen him play? He is honestly shocking, shares a turning circle with the titanic.

A friend of mine from school moved out to Spain with his family and lives a short walk from his last teams stadium, obviously when I heard of our interest I asked about him as he goes to a lot of the games, my friend laughed and said we are welcome to him. Described him as a poor footballer with good height. This is while playing for a lower league spanish side by the way, so not a good league.

Granted my friend is not exactly an experienced scout, but he loves football and has seen enough to be able to rate a players ability from 20 or so games. Djalo is a poor player. I severely doubt he will feature in a competitive game for us, if he does, we will lose.

Its not his fault we signed him, so can't really blame him for his short comings, but it doesn't change the fact he is far out of his depth, probably even for our reserves.

Basically, we need another CB, ideally a starter but at the very least to provide cover, currently we only have Madl who could comfortably step in.

Should Djalo magically learn to play football over night I will happily eat my words, lets hope it happens.

I understand those saying that we should not judge a player so soon but on his performances in friendlies I do fear Chutney may be proved correct.

Makes sense, he was actually quite good in Russia before us, different style of play I guess, wish him luck, its a shame he struggled so much with us.

However, this now leaves us with no cover at all behind ream, kalas and Madl. We must have a CB coming in? Surely?
