Nixon saying Wednesday want 20m for Forestieri and Fulham are trying. Saying Brentford want more than 6 for Jota cos they know Fulham bid 15m for Forestieri.
Also says Toon want 20m for Gayle and Fulham have ended negotiations.

Haha, if this is true then we've been a bit wreckless I suppose. Shows why a club cant go and bid for several players simultaneously. Othes will use that against you.

Although, Brentford are the ones who need to sell or else they wont get anything for him next summer. Fulham might just need to play it cool

Out of the 3 Forestieri looks the most like a Joka player imo and I'm starting to feel like the other 2 are being used as bait to reign Weds in a bit and put pressure on them by suggesting we will go elsewhere.

Quite likely, but then Aluko, Ayite, Kebano, Kalas, Piazon, were all a bit underwhelming when they came, but worked out well in the end. The big names are sometimes more disappointing.

Don't take that as complaining about it, I'm happy with our window if it closed tonight. I'm fine with Ojo, Kebano, Ayite and Sess (when Rafa Soares is fit) for Wingers. Only signing I think we need is another Centre-Back. Anything else is a bonus. Although I wouldn't say Kalas was underwhelming, I couldn't believe we'd signed him. Thought he'd have gone back to Boro considering they went up.

I'd just prefer a more "dominating" Centre-Back (that's not Djalo) in the door as well. Just think about the Cardiff game as to why. We'll be coming up against Zohore with Kalas and most likely Djalo or a very jet-lagged Tim Ream as it stands. That will not be a fun experience.

If it is dead I wonder what SJ's thoughts will be? He made it very clear that he didn't want Aluko to go, yet he's been sold without replacement, so far.

I assumed Jota would have been Aluko's replacement. I don't think we can afford some of the numbers being quoted for Forestieri & Gayle, so don't think those 2 are realistic signings for us.

So here we are with just 24 hours of the transfer window to go & we've just sold one of our most creative players & come nowhere near close to replacing him, which is poor from the club.

think Malaga loaned him (as he signed a 2 year extension with Bordeaux I think) but the same reason would apply

Just noticed that we have loaned out Rodak.  Is this new or have I missed it?

I would hope that Jota being lined up was the Aluko replacement and it might seem pretty obvious to make one contingent upon the other, however I can imagine the scenario where Aluko's departure was beyond resistance and Jota arriving taken on trust. Pity if it doesn't come off now.
