i would be underwhelemd given who we were linked too and the fact we probably need a couple more singings to take us up a level

If we don't go up this season, we may well have to sell our best players anyway, as they may want to go to a more ambitious club or one like Wolves who got promoted cause they know what it takes to get promoted. We are far too timid at times, and will cost us if we don't wise up.

Nothing has changed since last January. But we have a decent forward in Fonte and a better reserve players ready to step up. Didn't need massive risks. All spending is risky. But no big improvement if any from January.

quite possibly, but if we spoend stupidly and then dont go up we lose them,  get a fine and have no money and cant sign anyone, triple ouch.

I'd be interested to see you go and discuss your speculate / accumulate (read in this case - massively overspend, gamble and hope for the best) theory with Leeds fans. Risdale had the same attitude and look where it's got them. They are still paying for that attitude now.

yeah, been a decent window.

It's been half decent for me, but we are still short of a couple QUALITY players short, I repeat QUALITY players, not unknown throw outs,  if we have any intention of achieving an automatic promotion place in top 2. Play offs do not guarantee anything, as only one in four will succeed.

it was those prem rules that did for Leeds. Just used those 3, because it's the same extreme scenario as it is to use Leeds as the one club to demonstrate what a gamble can do to your club
