Happened right in front of me & it was an awful challenge, I don't know what he was thinking.  Surprised to see Paul Clement describe it only as 'a bit rash'.

It was a shocking challenge which RS probably just got out of the way in time
Having shouted at their technical coach for about a minute telling him how to disgusting it was and Reading should be ashamed - his answer was "well I didn't do it"!!!

They've had more red cards under Clement than shots on target in his 4 games, so it's hardly surprising

Which, if you think about it, was a pretty good response, wasn't it?

Horrendous assault, properly dealt with and, hopefully, with no long term repercussion (except to the perpitrator). I doubt that it forms part of the Reading coaching strategy.
