That's it I think.

You can say I'm a pessimist but Cardiff can lose a game now and still have it in their hands.

Time to rest players for the playoffs I think. We're far from our best right now. Not the players faults but they're just exhausted.

Time to prepare to win the playoffs. We can risk it and  keep going with the super slim hope we'll get 2nd but then if we don't, we're going to be knackered for the playoffs too and then we would be in real trouble.

Do you not agree that the players are tired? Even if we win against Millwall we'd be a point about Cardiff and they'd have two games in hand. If we don't beat Millwall it's 100% time to rotate

Forever Fulham

ice baths, massages, and plenty of sleep and stretching.  They'll be OK.  We're not done yet.

Mince n Tatties

Its not over by  long shot...Cardiff could lose every game, you just don't know what will happen..Coyw.

The Old Count

Glad you're not giving the pre-match team talk.

With Mitro going down with a pull or play acting at the end I thought we looked poor in the last ten minutes. Yes I tend to think that is it but anything can still happen. But our coach's negative attitude with his subs and the way we capitulated at the end made me think the side looked mentally and physically spent. But who can blame them after this run of 21 games. Brilliant.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

Cardiff have to drop points in 2 games. We have to keep going but I think that we have to look forward to a date at Wembley.

General

It's been made a lot harder but it can be done, this league is unpredictable. The lads have done tremendously well this season again although they seem to look a bit more tired these last few games.

If we're being honest brentford deserved to draw but it just sucks that it came literally in the last minute of the game.. some of the players clocked off it seemed.

I think we should prepare the players now physically and mentally to the point that they're refreshed for the playoffs. If we play them as we're playing our games now I worry we won't have enough in our tank and all the incredible work we've done may become undone.

I just wish we hadn't for whatever reason taken so long to sort our act out. Even to or three of our draws into wins (today being an example) would've seen us pushing for champions let alone had we converted more.. it's such a shame. The lads have done incredibly well though since to make up an 18 point gap with other teams seenuchtill winning.

Very proud. I just pray we don't fall short.

KingofCheese

Gutted..we need to be more synical and play in the corners at the end..tried to play our normal game and it cost us. Great that we have not lost in 21 but gutted that Warnock and co will be celebrating tonight. Play offs for us.

We have to to give it a good go against Millwall and see how Cardiff respond. That will be the time to make decisions.

Cardiff just dropped 8 points in 3 games so it makes no sense to give up hope of them dropping 5 points in the next 4 games. There's still a good, realistic chance they will do that.

For me it's a no brainer: give it 100% v millwall because if we win that, we go back above them and put the pressure on. Then they've two games which our boys can watch on the TV. After that, it may well be that they're out of sight so we can relax for a few weeks and focus on the play-offs. But they may just play as crap as they did today and not get the sneaky late goals this time.

But we can't down tools yet.

I do completely agree with you, now I've calmed down a bit!

Such a bitter bill to swallow. I need to stop thinking of that c*nt Warnocks face when it doesn't go our way!

They last few games we've looked knackered. We need to do something to get the energy back before Friday

That was my first reaction, but when the dust settled I thought to hell with it, we keep going. Other teams will drop points. We can still do this. COYW.

Cardiff have to travel to Derby in the week , lets see how that game goes before throwing in the towel.

It's very simple ........we are disappointed big time  - I'm sure the players and coach feel exactly the same if not worset -  but as Statto rightly points out this really isn't the time to give up - we have to keep going and hoping.

Come to think of it it's tricky to think when we can really "rest" . Winning ( and even drawing) is a fine mental state to be in - look at the last 21 games. How do we manage ourselves up to the play offs should automatic become impossible ?

Woolly Mammoth

I just cannot see Cardiff winning all their games. So all we can do is win our remaining matches. Millwall, Sunderland and Birmingham City.
We have to get back on the horse, and the best way to do that is to win at the New Den, and that will burst their bubble.
We need to keep the momentum going to negotiate the play offs if we have to. As long as we remember to learn lessons from today.

Strangely I disagree with some of it. I was fuming when I wrote it! For me, as much as the result, it's how tired we've looked the last 3 games. My worry is that if it goes down to the last game and we just miss out, we've then got to play another 3 potentially.

At least now for the first time in a while we have almost a week to rest. Hopefully it will do the team the world of good and they'll be energised for Friday.
