Not having an active DOF in this country is showing it's ugly head yet again and will continue to do so. They can have all the ambition in the world but keep getting fundamentals wrong and it will continue to bite them on the backside.

Interesting how many people jump on any vague rumour to have a go at the owners.
It's not like they're Bulstrode or Clay or even Tommy Trinder (you lucky people).
Is it the general malaise with football, its structure and ownership in general? Is it the same on other club's forums?

I look at it that after the two recent interviews supporters are entitled to have reservations on decision making from owners where manager is concerned. It's not been their finest hour and personally I find no plan B is more than a slight embarrassment more a dereliction of duty? Not having an active DOF in this country is showing it's ugly head yet again and will continue to do so. They can have all the ambition in the world but keep getting fundamentals wrong and it will continue to bite them on the backside.
I've mentioned this before that Ali Mac has been in the game long enough to have read the room months ago with the Silva situation? Whether his position has changed or not surely he would of had a quiet word in someone's ear late last year that there was an issue on the Horizon that needed addressing or having a contingency in place.

I firmly believe Shad wants success but has to make it a balancing act so as TK is much involved without undermining his position a scenario not uncommon at FFC. Since Silva arrived there has been less wastage than at any other time of Khans reign at that might be the most telling?

Nepotism is the Achilles Heal when it comes this subject.
If anyone does not understand that, then ask Brad Pitt.

There apparently are 2/3 managers that are in the frame,  none of them are in this country, so if we did have an active dof in this country, negotiations would be by telephone. Also negotiations may not actually be with TK initially, probably Alimac who is in this country.
I sometimes feel this Dof business is a bit overrated.

It shouldn't be understated as to how important the DOF role is at a Premier League football club. The person in that role is usually responsible for player/manager recruitment, sporting strategy and generally overseeing football operations. That person is not Ali Mac, an accountant by profession, who I believe is responsible for the business operations at the club. I doubt TK will ever give up the position but do believe a full time DOF based at Motspur Park would make a huge difference.

with SK changes  at Jacksonville maybe a **** new manager at Fulham and relegation by TKwould force a similar outcome off the field.

I've got to the stage where I no longer care who the new manager is, but I do wish they'd get on with it.

Oliveira would be fine. He knows the club and the players. Arbeloa is a bit of a gamble but might be excellent. The best football at FFC in the last 30 years was Tigana's and the early years of Coleman before AF tightened the purse strings. Is Cookie available?

We definitely need a MP based DoF as the carrier pigeon takes sooo long to fly over from the US to suggest to the manager to look at a new player or confirm a new signing. If only there was a better faster way to communicate with the recruitment team in little old England. We can dream.

Lack of ambition...as the old Count has just commented imagine the furore if Ernie/Bulstrode were still at the helm....the darkest of days...in the 5 years under Silva witnessed some of the best football in my 50+ years of watching 'by far the greatest team the world has ever seen'....annoying cliche I know but guess just got to 'trust the process'

Yep course I did home and away...KK was fantastic for us and a tremendous approachable guy in days when we trained at the BBC and you could go and have a chat...sadly didn't get to manage us in the top flight as England came calling...Jokanovic gave us all one one of the best supporting days of our Fulham lives and watching his team up and down the country in the promotion season was brilliant...for a multiple of reasons it didn't work out in top div...Tigana football was sensational and the most entertaining season ever when we went up and great initially in the Premier League......none were as consistently good at the top table as Marco though for Fulham.

You obviously didn't see us play,when Keegan,Jokanovic and Tigana were in charge.
