Always good to hear that there is no new injuries.  Do wish Tete was ready to start getting a few minutes of match play time.

So Kongolo is fit? Bench in case of injury to Tosin or Andersen?
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

I felt that RLC was pretty anonymous on Monday. Despite his skill, speed, and size, he somehow seems ineffective, and hasn't convinced me. What about Reed and Lemina in front of the back 4, with Anguissa as the central midfielder in front of them, playing more box-to-box? It would give us some real bite in the middle, and although it's a bit of a defensive-minded lineup, they're all pretty mobile and can cover a lot of ground. Both Anguissa and Lemina have shown the willingness to get forward and into the opponent's box.

Unfortunately Lemina is can't pass or retain the ball

Same side for me.

Good balance, worked well on the counter and got success.

Hard to validate any change really.

RLC needs a start again. Get him warmed into the starting 11 with Anguissa and Reed behind. It will work. Give it time.

As we shall be every bit as, if not more, dependent on counter-attacking to have a goal-scoring threat, the ability of Robinson's pace to enable him to carry the ball 50 yards or more is probably our best chance of getting a decent sight of their goal.

If Kongolo's plays as one of three centre-backs, not only would we be stronger defensively against a team that will almost certainly ask more searching questions of our back line than did Leicester but we could also risk Robinson going forward without having to be as fearful of City turning over possession and exposing the space behind him. To accommodate Kongolo (and it's only that, not having played, he may be 'rusty' that makes me doubt the value of his inclusion), to me, it seems best to leave out Cavaleiro and play Lookman centrally.

I doubt that Kongolo will play tomorrow.
I thought Cav did an effective job  against Leicester, probably what was asked of him.

How similar to Leicester are City, apart from having a potent attacking threat, with top, pacey players?

We  will certainly need to be sound defensively again, but will we play so deep?
Likely we will again cede  possession, and try to hit them on the break.

If/when Kongolo is fit, I expect lots of posts from the club showing him engaged in rigorous training exercises, and Parker to start telling us he's ready, in the weeks leading up to his return. The guy's been out for a year now. I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him in a Fulham shirt again. Certainly don't expect him to suddenly appear in the matchday squad with no fanfare or mention in pressers.

Man City are more technically gifted then Leicester. Their players pass and move, they create space for each other through their movement. The best way to combat them is not to be 'passive', disrupt them at every opportunity, close them down, make them rush their passes. You really need to make a match of it. Yes we might lose, but with a bit of luck we might win, being 'passive' is not an option. We have physicality on our side, we need to use it.
