Bang on, blaming Raul for tonight is ridiculous

You think it's ridiculous to suggest that the complete absence of any energy or ability to hold up the ball up top had anything to do with us losing? No one's having a go at Raul he's a player at the end of his career doing his best but he's knackered and Silva not changing him earlier in games keeps costing us points and games more often than not imo.

Credit to Newcastle and obviously there were other factors too, bigger strength in depth, no AFCON absences etc

But i don't see how it's ridiculous to suggest our forward being completely innefective isn't key in this and other losses. Limping/stumbling sbout for the last 30 mins of matches isn't really particularly useful imo.

Additionally, lost all forward momentum bringing in reed who played fairly well tbf but just doesn't offer much forward chance creation.

ESR off was the wrong sub also

They have warm up matches. It's a big tournament so they can't just be released the day before the first match.

Warm up match? 😂😂😂that's hilarious they just played and got knocked out by DR Congo in the playoff

Awful and sad

Who's he going to bring on! A teenager. He wasn't backed and this is the result. End of.

I'd rather he play a toddler in a cup game that doesn't really mean a lot in comparison, than play our main striker who will be dead again and inefficient on the weekend when it actually matters

RS- Exactly.  And he would keep putting him out there...
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most...

Their winning goal was a carbon copy of last week. We are vulnerable from corners. Why? Discuss.

fulhamfever

Silva just like he ended up at Everton at the end he got booted he is a stubborn so and so and I hope the Khans fire him and get someone who can take us to the next level.

Who is he going to bring on? Muniz is injured and the other option is a very green last minute loanee. An unfit/old Raul is better and a proven Striker. This isn't Silva - this is p@ss poor windows.

fulhamfever

I would rather put Adama as striker than a knackered Raul simple as

He played for pens and got punished so bun silva absolute clown.

HV71

For a season when we were "going to kick on "and had a recruitment plan it's been pretty crap so far. I don't really care where we point the blame whether at Marco or the recruitment but for the supporter the delivery so far has been zero

jayffc

Still not Silva out mind you.But his stubbornness around JKA I find baffling. You could stick a broom up top and it'd be more effective than playing Raul into an early grave. I do find myself questioning the subs alot but we were playing a champs league squad with 3, key players out away from home so wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater personally

Gonna be tough without chuk and Iwobi and now Lukic though for sure. Ah well, at least we're gonna win the FA cup, it's the better one anyway 😅

fulhamfever

Look at Glasner and look at Silva
Look at our squad compared to theirs hardly much different in quality of players but the longer this contract BS continues the more us fans will suffer

fulhamfever

I'm done I just feel sorry for the fans that had to travel all that way to watch this clown 🤡 play for pens with a striker at the end of his career

Raul couldn't run, JKA isn't a make a wish kid he's a pro footballer who Bayern Munich of all clubs purchased because they think he's got potential to play for them. If you never play him you'll never know if he's any good,  it we instead persisted with someone who couldn't move about the pitch and as a result meant we had absolutely no way of alleviating pressure or getting up the pitch. As a team you defend from the front and poor old Raul is being run into the ground and it's not even like it's winning us games

LittleErn

I feel for Raul. He has given his all, to the point of exhaustion tonight. I really would like Silva to explain why he wasn't subbed after 60 minutes. One thing that Fulham have displayed tonight is fight. They stayed in this game right to the last few minutes despite being outplayed for most of the 2nd half.

Moral of the story we are an almost team

Marco got it wrong again.....

Raul was dead, half the team were.... clinging on to penalties, until Newcastle score and then we sub JKA on. Make it make sense. Does my head in.

Why not bring in the teenager at least he's got the legs to run around. Raul is knackered and is being overplayed which will only bring trouble long term.
