Quote from: MickTheBeard on April 14, 2026, 11:33:17 AMI honestly feel for us to score goals regularly from all different positions from the team we will need a new manager everything has to go through a target man or 1 up front with no plan B under silva,I believe that's a big problem for silva.

Silvas system of play is not getting the best out of players let alone the team.
It is predictable and played with a slow tempo, which is meat and drink to opponents.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

The opposition? Oh! You mean ours? No idea.

Quote from: Jules on April 14, 2026, 10:37:22 AMSome on here may think we will be fine, but i am concerned due to the points already raised on this thread. Big summer coming up for the club. Lots to sort with the manager situation, goal contributions and general squad quality.

Can't disagree with any of that.  We don't get it right, team could be in trouble.  Summer window very important.  Hopefully backup plan B's exist should Pepi fall through.  Would be nice to see early acquisitions for a change, but I'm not holding my breath....

Have I missed something? Have they quit?

At this point in time I am more concerned about next season if Marco stays. When we got promoted I posted that if we went straight back down I would hope we kept Marco because the football we played in the championship was fantastic, I know we had to change to survive but after four years of recruitment where has that style of play gone.

It doesn't matter.... we're doomed

Quote from: KentFulham on April 14, 2026, 06:51:46 AMWith Wilson set to leave at the end of the season, his 10 goals is 25% of our GF. Remove these and we would be the lowest GF bar Wolves. Wilsons 10 is equal to our two strikers combined .

Our next best is Raul with 9 before 3rd place offering just 4 with Iwobi

It feels like we are walking into a right mare in terms of goal scoring options for next season with neither the strikers or remaining midfield offering enough goals.

Without major surgery we could go into next season as relegation candidates.

Exactly...and if we don't get relegated next season, we might get relegated the season after.... I could be wrong - but haven't we been heavily negotiating a deal for Pepi....and remember he's lipsmacking

Pepi? 'Lipsmacking'?? Why do you say that?

He's contracted to PSV until 2030 for starters. 11 goals from 22 matches in the Eredivisie this season isn't a bad return but that doesn't put him in the Lamine Yamal category. I've seen another FOF member touting this player for Fulham but it's a non-starter for both parties.

I have absolutely no idea where our next goal is coming from.

It looks to me Marco & the players don't either.
