Just as an exercise!! on the basis of current squad who do you class as first team type squad type time to move on. Not looking at budgets or who next manager is more along the lines have they a future at Fulham do we continue to improve with them? Based on who is here currently in first team squad. Some might agree some will say you've lost your marbles or along those lines?

Leno - 1rst Team.  Needs more competition now and not just a cup goalie deputy preferably an upcoming keeper.
Lemcote - Move on. Would be concerned if period of time as first team keeper.

Tete - 1rst Team. Injuries concerning possibly can he play a full season? Must be of concern.
Castagne - Squad. Looked better towards end of season but exposed against genuine pace.

Think it's an area we will need to strengthen sooner rather than later.

Robinson - 1rst Team. Plagued by injuries don't think he has suddenly become a bad defender. Still can't cross a ball after all these seasons but makes up for that defensively when fully fit.
Sessegnon - 1rst Team. Positive season for him overall.
Should be okay here in this position.

Andersen - 1rst Team. Probably not his best season but still think he can do a job.
Diop - Squad. Done well last few games but would not want him playing week in week out over a season personal opinion as I know a lot prefer him.
Cuenca - Squad. He did well when filling in for Bassey but did fall away not the quickest and a bit rash at times.
Bassey - 1rst Team. Finished season strong fairly dependable.

Whether one centre back leaves not sure but if all stay fit not sure we need to look any further.

Reed - Move on. Been a great club man but limited opportunities.
Cairney - Squad. Likely to be last season.
Berge - Move on. If we were in Championship all day long but Prem level he is always going to struggle.
Lukic - Squad. Has one or two decent games then goes missing far to often. Not influential in crucial position bit like Berge limited.

King - 1rst Team. Good first campaign tailed off but expected. Size & Frame has been mentioned that will come.
ESR - 1rst Team. Technically very good pace not there. Make or break next season.
Iwobi - 1rst Team. Reliable Swiss Knife Type.

Bobb - 1rst Team. Bit of mixed bag since signing but lots of potential. Couple of goals will settle him down.
Kevin - 1rst Team. Loads of potential exciting prospect now settled.
Wilson - 1rst Team. But unlikely to be here or would have signed new contract?
Chukwueze - Move on. Had his moments but consistency looks the issue.

Jiminez - 1rst Team. Like Wilson probably won't be here. Would want to keep him as still would be good back up or starter should the need be. He is probably the one we need to offer a bit over the top rather than Wilson?
Muniz - Squad. Divides opinion. Personally not good enough to be main man and lead line.
Kusi-Asare - Did not get many opportunities difficult to assess.

AOB.
Ridgeon - Might have got first team football towards end of season as was in squad during Afcon if not for that nasty injury. Hopefully makes full recovery looks good prospect.

Requirements.
Competition Backup to goalie.
Midfield major overhaul and pace needed at least 2 possibly 3 as we do need upgrading in this area.
Winger probably 1 as Iwobi can double up if need be.
Forwards x 2 at least if Jiminez leaves.
Right Back might be of concern?

Dont Agree on Berge.

Mullers OG

Interesting exercise. We all have our own opinions on players. I agree with many of your observations but not all.

Keeper. We could do with an upgrade. Leno perfectly adequate but not in the top class. Lecompte looks a very adequate number 2.

Castagne with a run in the side looks like the regular international right back that he is. Tete has been superb over a long time but seems increasingly injury prone and it may be time to move on.

Berge divides opinion but IMO should be retained. I agree the midfield needs strengthening if we want to progress.

Moltobueno

Berge most underrated player here. Does the hard work without the ball noone wants to see

Jim©

Don't agree on much that you've said.

Leno isn't what he was, his save percentage is down the bottom of the league for the second season in a row. A great keeper will win you points, apart from Brentford (a) I can't remember many times he pulled off saves.
I'd have played Lecomte for 2nd half of season, not sure what you think he's done wrong?

Tete can't be relied on any more unfortunately. Castagne was one of our best players over the last quarter of the season. But agree we need a.n nother.

CBs not sure what you've got against Diop either, best defender at the club IMO. Cuenca deserves game time too. Andersen actually played ok, but his stupidity v Bournemouth probably cost us Europe, I'd sell if we can to recoup a few £s.

Robinson poor season from him. If we could cash in, I'd not be averse to it.

Berge, not sure what you're on about, he's classy. Always shows for those horrible balls that Leno kicks straight to him with a player at his back, never loses it. He's doing the job he's been told, new manager may take his shackles off a bit.

I like ESR, but this season wasn't great from him at all. Heard he had some personal issues at the start. But we need him better than what we've seen. Same for Bobb and Chuk if he stays.

Wilson I'd guess he's off, so we'll need a good RW to push Bobb.

Raul please sign him for another year, proved his class again, working off scraps.

I'd sell Reed< muniz, Andersen and Robinson if we could (along with Leno) and get a few new faces in for the new manager.

Volz

Berge is consistently the player that gets the most praise for the Norwegian national team, and as Moltobueno states above, I too see him doing the hard work that no one sees. Predicting player movement, interrupting by presence and positioning and cutting off passing lanes. Not as flashy as bone crunching tackles, which is why i suspect so many on here seems to dislike him, but i feel he is integral. We definitely need more alternatives centrally though, but most of all we need creativity.
Likewise I will never undertand the dislike to Castagne, I have always said that the difference in quality between him and Tete is negligible. But again. Tete is more flashy, does high energy runs, seems passionate, and that will always equal to "the better player" for many.
Leno is more than adequate imo.
Lukic is also more than adequate

Only player I would like out is Reed. And I would never ever sign Wilson back on an astronomical raise. Love both, thanks for some fantastic moments, but my main issue with both is that they need substantial playing time to be confident enough to be at their best. And Reed is too limited to get that, Wilson drifts in and out of matches way too much regardless of this season.
And Raul is too old now, really really need some refreshing there.
Muniz I would wait to see how gets utilized under a new manager.

Beamer

Muniz is a trier who makes defenders work but he is not a natural instinctive finisher. I'm not knocking him just trying to be honest.
If we have to start the season with him as our number 1 striker we might as well give up on any aspirations we have for raising our position.
Just my unemotional opinion.

Leno - 1rst Team.  Needs more competition now and not just a cup goalie deputy preferably an upcoming keeper.
Lemcote - Move on. Would be concerned if period of time as first team keeper.
I have noticed Leno becoming less secure over the last season. He is still excellent at one-to-one saves and close quarter work, but he is no longer agile enough to get to shots placed in any corner of the goal.If there is a better goalie available to us I would like to see a change.  I haven't seen enough of Lecomte to judge him, but I don't recall him making any bad errors.

Tete - 1rst Team. Injuries concerning possibly can he play a full season? Must be of concern.
Castagne - Squad. Looked better towards end of season but exposed against genuine pace.

Tete is the better defender if he can stay fit, but Castagne offers a better all-round game IMO. I'd keep both and use them according to the attacking threat of the opponents. It would be nice to have a third right back, especially if he offers an improvement.

Think it's an area we will need to strengthen sooner rather than later. Agreed

As with the right back position, it is great to have two good players competing for the position. Robinson showed better form at the end of the season but still hasn't replicated his best performances. Nothing to change here.

Andersen - 1rst Team. Probably not his best season but still think he can do a job. I'm afraid that while still capable of good passing out of defence, he has lost a touch of speed and agility. He is not dominating in aerial duels but is till more mobile than Diop. If a good offer comes in, then I'd accept it, assuming we can identify an improvement.
Diop - Squad. Done well last few games but would not want him playing week in week out over a season personal opinion as I know a lot prefer him. Definitely an asset when fit, but mainly as a solid defender and aerial presence. If he's happy, then keep him.
Cuenca - Squad. He did well when filling in for Bassey but did fall away not the quickest and a bit rash at times.Needs a run in the team to establish himself, or not, but the jury is still out.
Bassey - 1rst Team. Finished season strong fairly dependable.Agreed. A bit gung-ho at times and prone to giving the ball away, which leaves us exposed to counter-attacks, but still a presence and an attacking threat.

Whether one centre back leaves not sure but if all stay fit not sure we need to look any further.

Reed - Move on. Been a great club man but limited opportunities. With regret, agree.
Cairney - Squad. Likely to be last season. His cameo appearances have been a revelation this season and he adds something to our midfield control as long as he is fit and his stamina lasts, but not a starter.
Berge - Move on. If we were in Championship all day long but Prem level he is always going to struggle. Based on the performance I saw from him at Leeds. I have to agree. Sometimes the play just seems to flow around him. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being though as his recent performances have looked more solid.
Lukic - Squad. Has one or two decent games then goes missing far to often. Not influential in crucial position bit like Berge limited.

King - 1rst Team. Good first campaign tailed off but expected. Size & Frame has been mentioned that will come.Still looks to be improving, and hopefully will bulk up without losing speed. Certainly deserves a place in the 1st team squad.
ESR - 1rst Team. Technically very good pace not there. Make or break next season. He shows flashes of potential but not consistent. Looks like a player without confidence and if that changes he could be very good.
Iwobi - 1rst Team. Reliable Swiss Knife Type. Has all the skills but needs to find a position that he can stick to and grow in.

Bobb - 1rst Team. Bit of mixed bag since signing but lots of potential. Couple of goals will settle him down.
Kevin - 1rst Team. Loads of potential exciting prospect now settled. Both exciting prospects but still not consistently good yet, especially Bobb. Hopefully they will be more accustomed to the physical demands of the Prem next season and their stamina will hace improved.
Wilson - 1rst Team. But unlikely to be here or would have signed new contract? He said some time ago that his future here depended on Silva staying, so looks like he will move on.
Chukwueze - Move on. Had his moments but consistency looks the issue. I'd keep him as a squad player if the price isn't too high, but I suspect it will be!

Jiminez - 1rst Team. Like Wilson probably won't be here. Would want to keep him as still would be good back up or starter should the need be. He is probably the one we need to offer a bit over the top rather than Wilson?
Divides opinion. Personally not good enough to be main man and lead line. His age suggests that his performances will fall off next season, but he deserves to be given a chance, but not at any price. His all-round game is still very good but his sharpness in front of goal is no longer up to Prem standards.
Kusi-Asare - Did not get many opportunities difficult to assess. agreed. I hope he breaks into the team next season as he has the attributes to become a fan favourite. This is the area that we MUST improve if we are to stay competitive. You haven't mentioned Muniz - which I think says all that needs to be said!

AOB.
Ridgeon - Might have got first team football towards end of season as was in squad during Afcon if not for that nasty injury. Hopefully makes full recovery looks good prospect.

We Are Premier League

Starting 11 26/27

          New Striker
Kevin      ESR/King       Bobb
                 New CM
         Berge/Lucic
Sess    Bassey    Anderson  Tete
               Leno

I think our staring 11 is decent, only 2 big additions needed.

2nd 11

          Muniz
New     King/ESR      New
               Iwobi
         Lucic/Berge
Robinson   Cuenca Diop    Castagne
              New
3 squad players needed, probably 2 more as we need to sell someone (Robinson, Reed, Castagne) to help with fair play rules.

Additional squad depth, Cairney, JKA, Kids

Generally, spend money on 2 big signings, scape together squad players a cheaply as possible and pray for few injuries...

For me the one thing I would disagree with is the goalkeeper. I think Lecomte is fine as our back up but that Leno is now an expensive keeper in decline and no longer suitable as our number one.
