As it stands stands it's leaning towards the Spaniard who was sacked at Real Madrid and asked the question who else did he interview.The Ipswich manager wants to take time out,the ex Brentford manager wants to take time out,frank lampard did not want an interview wanting to be loyal to coventry.So who did he interview.Someone who is our director of football who doesn't watch his own team but watches wrestling expecting someone to join when he is not fully behind the project.I hope silva never left it late to inform us by getting his own back with our Dof to make life awkward.My point of view is someone who doesn't watch his team and is prepared to keep his job at all costs to even get us relegated is very worrying.

IF, and its a big if, you are right that our DOF doesn't watch our team play, then I would also be somewhat concerned, but I havent seen any objective evidence of that. We have known for a long time that he also has a business and personal interest in wrestling. It hasn't stopped us from having our best ever season in the Premier League and becoming (touch wood) an established mid table team. I know that you and I would both like to see FFC kick on and become a top six team but the constraints of Financial Fair Play (which is NOT fair) mean that we are unlikely to be allowed to spend the necessary money even if our owners wanted to.

I think that it is a reasonable question. However, does anybody care if Silva was a coronation and the only person that Tony Khan really considered last time. It is about what works and what doesn't. If Ange was interviewed or approached, or Amorin, Dyche or whoever, it will be long forgotten if Arbeloa spends five successful years at the Cottage.

I really haven't seem much to back up your assertion that TK doesn't watch the team play, though I would agree that there's no real evidence he does either (Even SK is pictured at the games on occasions, though not junior).
Regarding Marco's intent not informing the club of his leaving, it seems he was simply playing his hand, as dealt by TK (in that TK wanted him to stay at all costs and was then complicit in the delay in approaching other alternatives), but it does leave a sour taste.

I agree that TK is not 100% involved in his job at the club, given the amount of time his other main interest takes, but unless there is an obvious problem revealing such a need, then it's hard to claim he needs to take it on 100%. That's not even considering he actually has other minions at the club that deal with all the day-to-day work and keep him informed of events for his decision-making.

I for one, will be excited for the high press, the youth, and the speed of play.

Absolutely agree, on another thread I argued that just because he comes from RM doesn't automatically make him an elite coach and I stand by that. However, that doesn't mean I am not positive by what he could bring. And I will certainly get right behind him. If he gets us playing quicker football whilst also encouraging youth then that alone would be exciting.

I've seen you do this a couple of times with Chukwueze, who seems to get "The Nigerian winger" in preference to his name.

To be fair, Mick does that with loads of players, not just Chukwueze.
I usually give him the benefit of the doubt and think he just doesn't remember their names, but it is odd that he always remembers where they're from, but not what they're called!
