Maybe it's because we keep buying/loaning players that keep him as 2nd/3rd choice. Those winger positions were probably the ones with the most churn in the Silva era.

We moved Traore on for a reason and so did West Ham. I would be surprised and annoyed if the club even considered bringing Adama back. I'm even more surprised that some fans would want him back.

The biggest reason I'd be in favour of getting him back is that we are probably going to have to have a mini clear out and it would be one less position we'd need to spend our transfer budget on

Putting aside my personal opinion on the player (never rated him at all), I still don't get the logic of it. If we are going to have to have a mini clear out (do we really have to?), why would a solution to this be to bring back a player that we already cleared out? Wouldn't it then be better to clear out one player less now. Why go in circles with players that are deemed not good enough (because we certainly didn't seem to want to keep Adama)?

And he wouldn't be free. He will be looking for big wages, especially since he comes with no transfer fee.

But I assume this is all moot anyway, since why on earth would he want to come back to us?

I seem to remember he was mentioned as one of our higher earners, but I haven't looked it up.

There's no hate in this thread whatsoever, just people voicing reasonable opinions on an ex player.

Adama lost his pace a couple of years ago and without that he was of little use - have to be honest that it is no surprise that West Ham have realised this, and although I wish him well in the Championship or abroad, there is no way I would want him back in our squad - he's simply not good enough imo

Did you watch him at all for Westham? Looked way, way off what he used to be in terms of athleticism and that's even before overlooking his inconsistent output......how anyone is trying to make an argument for him coming back is beyond me.

Maybe they saw him as a luxury player for his wages for the Championship. I kind of liked the guy, but we definitely should be moving on. Especially now we need goals

On his day he terrified opposition defenders by his physical strength, runs from one end of the pitch towards their goal but lacked the abilities to score
Even Marco was unable to harness his talent and convert him into a finisher

I wish him all the best - I hope he can find a good club that will give him a shot.  I don't think that Club should be Fulham.  He's below the technical quality of players we want.
