Quote from: Hugh Janus on July 26, 2026, 07:31:49 PMI'm a lot more convinced by Garcia than I was by Pepi. I have no interest in Balogun either. I really hope for all our sakes the club weren't deterred from selling Muniz by the flapping we saw this time last year when the offer arrived.

Muniz won't score 5 times next season.

You seem very certain but i suppose it depends how often he plays. Time to put your money were your mouth is. If he doesn't, you can be very smug but if he does you give £5k to charity.

Agreed on passing on both Pepi and Balogun.  Not sure Garcia is gonna be the answer, very young and no PL experience, but willing to give him a go.  I think big mistake if still interested in Pepi and Balogun.  Some have mentioned Delap being possibly available after a serious drop off in performance last season.  Might be worth a look?

1st game of last season. I'm sure he's lovely guy but IMO he's simply not good enough for the Premier League.
Never ever bloody anything ever.

I still believe in him, before his injury he was looking very good, that tells me if he could do it then he can do it again

Might of just lost his head, all strikers go through phases with that, One goal might be all it takes to get him back up and running

I like Muniz a lot and i hope PG and i are happy bunnies in May '27.

Quote from: ffc_forever on July 26, 2026, 12:30:03 PMI hope he comes good as he comes across as a very likeable lad off the pitch but on it Ive not been his biggest of fans over the 5 years.

Yesterday, although only a training game and for fitness, showed what Ive seen on repeat with poor runs and movement. I'd hoped that with a new manager and coaches that they would work on his movement to get in better positions and help his teammates but he still runs away from ball or stands still with defenders.

Is this something that can be coached in to his game or does he lack that natural instinct to sniff out a goal chance and make the clever runs.

I hope he can  ::wine::

He can't change. He's too far gone. Just looks an average Championship player....at best. Way, way over rated and no idea why he's still at the club

Quote from: Fulham 442 on July 26, 2026, 04:47:12 PMPost injury he has been awful. We need a couple of out and out strikers asap. Can't see where any of our goals will come from otherwise.
When he came back he looked like he'd been doing too many weights and had bulked up. From what I saw his pace had slowed down.
He's now lost his confidence and doesn't do things instinctively and his anticipation has gone. Hopefully AA can get him his confidence back. We need him back performing like he did against Liverpool.

Extremely harsh
I hope you get to consume your words

(White man) In Hamm End

Muniz scored a superb goal in the home game against Brentford but it was very harshly ruled out by VAR for a foul despite the actual fault being with Collins, the Brentford defender, taking his eye off of the ball.

Easy to score when all the defenders and keeper stop for the foul

He looked distinctly average today

Sadly that's what I've come to expect.

Wow, that's completely rewriting history as far as I recall but happy to be proved wrong if someone more technologically advanced than I can upload a video of his disallowed goal

Agree with you, that was not what happened at all.

The Rock

I liked Balogun in the WC. Had everything Pepi lacked. Powerful. Why is Balogun so hated? I thought £30-40m would have been well spent if we weren't bringing in the 3 amigos.

Watched the game last night and thought first half ok had couple of chances then Jka came on put himself about and made an impression.
Muniz is not the player that scored v Liverpool.
Also think TK won't sell as he still believes he's worth 40 odd million.

Bassey the warrior

Let's give Arbeloa time to work with Muniz, he was doing well before the injury, pre-season could help him recover form. Still need to sign a striker though.
