I hope he comes good as he comes across as a very likeable lad off the pitch but on it Ive not been his biggest of fans over the 5 years.

Yesterday, although only a training game and for fitness, showed what Ive seen on repeat with poor runs and movement. I'd hoped that with a new manager and coaches that they would work on his movement to get in better positions and help his teammates but he still runs away from ball or stands still with defenders.

Is this something that can be coached in to his game or does he lack that natural instinct to sniff out a goal chance and make the clever runs.

Carlos Viniciius was more impactful when we had him. Albeit he is a head banger.

I would dispute Vinicius being more impactful.

When Muniz is good he's very good, when he's bad he's very bad. Doesn't seem much middle ground. I think he was very good for large periods of 23/24 and 24/25, and the start of last season. Post injury wasn't good enough.

Arbeloa will be only his second manager here. It's definitely make or break time for him I'd say.

Post injury he has been awful. We need a couple of out and out strikers asap. Can't see where any of our goals will come from otherwise.

He's had enough game time but just looks way off the standard we need. I'd be looking for 2 new strikers and to sell him on.

Wasn't great end of last year for sure, very rusty...

But...he was coming back off the back of a long time out folloring a serious surgery against players fully match fit and sharp. Think it'd be too much of a gamble to replace 2 main strikers in one window personally, especially with 2 players who haven't played in the league before, which would likely be the case.

His Goals per 90 remain pretty impressive in the prem. Hopefully AA can get some service to him and help him refind his conference now he'll have had a full pre season camp getting back to full fitness along with the team.

Alexander Isak was pretty poor for Liverpool
after coming back from a long term injury.
 So I wish Muniz all the best for the coming season.

There was a post late last season with regards to Muniz yes no maybe? No Fulham fan wants to see a player fail but sometimes you have to call it as you see it.
I am more than happy to be proved wrong and will be the first to hold my hands up if he proves me wrong but and it's a very big but as it stands he barely ticks any boxes required to be a consistent centre forward especially at this level. His strength is he has that little bit of individual flair which got him a little hot streak back in 2025.
He does come across as a nice guy and a bit soft very unlikely he suddenly becomes ruthless it tends to be in your armoury at an early age.
Have always thought the game does not come naturally for him which as a Brazilian is rare. Far too many weak links in his overall game management.

With no alternative in the squad we cannot afford for it to be his make or break time because that would mean make or break for FFC too. Way too risky imo.

Speaking personally I don't rate him at all but I appreciate others will have a different view on that. However, I would be appalled if we went into the season risking the club's future on whether Muniz comes good or not. Employ him as back up to a new first choice if we must, but please let's not bet our future on Muniz as our main striker!

I appreciate he is back from an injury but there comes a point when that no longer cuts it. His touch and positional sense are genuinely shocking to the point where I'm wondering what in god's name they do in training.

Is it any wonder we have made enquiries about Charlie Kelman.

Stating the obvious we need a new number 9. Garcia sounds more than promising. I'm going to assume we will bring in a new first choice striker because if we don't we will be in serious trouble if we rely on Muniz for any length of time. I would love to be proved wrong re Muniz but I've seen enough over five years to make an informed judgement.

I'm a lot more convinced by Garcia than I was by Pepi. I have no interest in Balogun either. I really hope for all our sakes the club weren't deterred from selling Muniz by the flapping we saw this time last year when the offer arrived.

Muniz won't score 5 times next season.

Yes I'm not saying this is a good strategy, just that there isn't much evidence that we're about to snag another striker.

I like the sound of Garcia. But a bit of perspective is needed.

Everyone so quick to piss on Muniz, who has scored 9 and 8 goals in PL seasons before. Garcia is unproven still, and his best season has 6 goals while playing more or less the same amount of minutes as Muniz did in 24/25.

It's not easy to find a striker who is going to score tonnes of goals.

We are not going to be like Man City with a striker scoring the bulk of our goals. We will need goals to come from all parts of the team (maybe I'll give Leno a pass). Getting the striker in is as much about enabling others to score through hold up play and movement as it is about being a goalpoacher. We didn't score enough from the middle of the park last season and I'd hope AA will be thinking about how he gets the midfield and no 10 to score goals.

But another part of it, is having more legs in midfield so that the striker is not having to do so much backtracking so that they can't get up the pitch to participate in counter attacks.
