Sky's bias against Fulham

Sky TV rarely show Fulham at Craven Cottage. Their commentators seem to want Fulham to lose, appealing for desperate decisions from the following opposition supporters, highly unprofessional.

In the studio they usually have someone from Leyton Orient or Charlton to represent Fulham's opionion - their Millwall coverage was SHOCKING, disparaging the controversy of one of the worst linesman decisions in Championship history! Thankfully Don Goodman pointed out if the ball went forward one should assume an attacking player played it and not assume the other way as the officials perplexingly did. I would like "Cookie" Coleman on their panel, he is excellent TV material but Sky's agenda dictates otherwise.

While they screen Leeds and West brom every week, they sometimes do not have any coverage of Fulham, or one has to press the "red" button, something not available on NOW TV and their Sky app. This despite Fulham being the only realistic team to challenge the automatic places.

Let us hope our players get inspiration from the media treatment and play their cotton socks off and achieve what Sky are having nightmares about... Fulham's automatic return to the Premier League.

The theory is that the Prem is all about the big 6 . They don't want the underdogs to do well hence they always serve them up away from home against the big 6 as easy pickings and keep them happy . The championship is the other way round . They love the underdog . Hence they love the charltons, millwalls, brentford's , prestons etc , we are a big fish in this division with a big budget that's not playing fair in the championship , thats for the big 6 in the prem only .

p.s you can get red button games on the sky sports app rather than sky go etc .

Don Goodman is the only one that speaks any sense, the rest take with a pinch of salt!

Logicalman

Fortunately I get to switch the TV to mute when ESPN stream the Sky broadcast and listen to the totally unbiased Jim & Jamie commentary.

Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Jims Dentist

Goodman has called it right on the few occasions I have seen any Sky EFL  coverage.

On EFL on Quest Colin Murray usually  gushes about Brentford and any Nortern Irish player that is on the field.

Colin Murray is probably one of the worst sports presenters / commentators out there.  A variety of stations (TV & radio) keep giving him  opportunities and he never seems to get the big gig.  He's gone back to Five Live god knows how many times.  Not good.

Try watching the games on IFollow, it doesn't matter who we're playing, home or away, the commentary is done by our opposition.

Andy S

Who cares about commentary it's only their opinions. It doesn't matter

He has always seemed to have a soft spot for Fulham ever since he presented our TV games on our way to the Europa final. I met him a few years ago, and he confirmed the same.  He was a very pleasant down-to-earth bloke who didn't need to spend several minutes during a break in a TV recording to talk to me, and could have excused himself and walked off, but he was happy to spend time chatting amiably and with knowledge about Fulham, even though this was when we were in the lower reaches of the Championship.  I am not a fan of Fighting Talk, or his radio programmes of that kind, but as a TV presenter on Channel 5 and Quest, I think his style is very good. He does not pontificate, nor does he strive to be the star; he tries to talk sensibly about the games and encourage comments.

As for Nick's original post, this is a piece of mischievous provocation. We get more than our fair share of Sky games.

Nicks just jealous because his TV career seems to have stalled

Twig

We certainly get our share of Sky coverage.  Frankly I wouldn't want even more games switched for TV.  The OP seems a rather far fetched post to me.

Baston White

Our next 4 games are all "live" on Sky as the main match - 1 home & 3 away fixtures.
No doubt as previously mentioned there will be no ex Fulham pundits just biased opposition pundits. Best to turn the sound down and pause picture to match GJ commentary.

I agree murray really seems to love fulham and gives us attention in a way no other presenter seems to. I like him anyway probably because he is a bit more intelligent and does not follow 'bloke down the pub' cliched English of the rest of football coverage

Stalled? That's being very very kind.

Steven Ageroad

One of the commentators on BT Sport just gives statistics, statistics and more statistics about the club and the players, it gets very boring, I don't know why he doesn't tell us what the players had for breakfast, their inside leg measurement or the size of their boots. I turn the sound off when he's commenting.

I mean yeah, basically all of this. Agree 100% of Plodder (although I can't account for the varacity of his Colin Murray anecdote).
