You don't always get what you deserve nor the other way around. All I know is that if we had scored all our penalty kicks this season we would probably be staying up

As regards the 7 minutes injury time if Areola hadn't taken so long to put his football back on after he got 'injured' towards the end of normal time then it would have probably been 5 minutes at best!!!

Was the "ropey" penalty any worse than the one Liverpool got at the Cottage or the one Newcastle got when Wilson clearly dived after contact outside the box. As for the Arsenal goal perhaps you should ask a goalkeeper that a person standing two yards away from you in the middle of the 6 yard box does not require you to consider them and impact on your positioning.
I think the Shankly quote says it all "The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game." or maybe the one from Brian Clough "If a player is not interfering with play then he shouldn't be on the pitch."
