Everton, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Fulham keen on Federico Gatti
A quartet of Premier League teams are interested in exploring a move for Federico Gatti, with the defender's stance now revealed.

According to Tuttosport, as many as four Premier League clubs are interested in exploring a deal for the experienced defender Federico Gatti. Valued at €25 million, the Italian centre-back could seek new opportunities away from Juventus, where his status has diminished following Luciano Spalletti's arrival.

Luciano Spalletti has used Federico Gatti to a reasonable extent, but he appears to prefer Gleison Bremer and Lloyd Kelly as his first-choice centre-backs. That plan is unlikely to change unless the club brings in a more established defender, which would further limit Gatti's chances of securing a regular starting spot.

Meanwhile, four Premier League teams are vying for Gatti, as Juventus are set to demand at least €25 million for the defender. The Italian, who signed a new deal in Turin until 2030, could still leave for that price, with Juventus expected to seek a replacement if he departs.

Federico Gatti to the Premier League?
Gatti's experience could be valued in the Premier League, with Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Fulham recently linked. Those three clubs remain in the mix, while Everton are also interested in signing the €25 million-rated Serie A defender, as David Moyes looks to strengthen his backline. West Ham were also mentioned as a potential suitor, but their chances depend on their Premier League survival.

Palace, Villa, and Fulham could all be viable options, particularly Aston Villa, who are set to play Champions League football next season. Overall, with his time at Juventus seemingly nearing an end, a move to England could be the next logical step for the experienced defender.

As per Gazzeta, the educed game time under Spalletti is playing a significant role in Gatti's thinking ahead of the summer, with the player considering an exit from Juventus. The Premier League could be an ideal destination for the Italian defender, where he could establish himself as a key figure at one of the interested clubs.

Discussions are expected to take place in the summer, depending on how the interested parties approach a potential deal. The price tag may suit English clubs, although they will likely need to convince the defender of a prominent role to secure his signature.

Newcastle United duo ruled out v West Ham & Fulham as major doubt cast over midfielder
One of Newcastle United's key players is a doubt for Sunday's Premier League clash at home to West Ham.

Joelinton is a doubt for Newcastle United's final Premier League home match of the season.

The Magpies host relegation-threatened West Ham United on Sunday evening and could be without one of their Brazilians.

Bruno Guimaraes has remained injury-free after recently returning from 10 weeks out with a hamstring issue. However, Joelinton is at risk of missing the game due to a "slight thigh problem".

Joelinton doubt - two out for the season
Eddie Howe has also revealed Tino Livramento and Fabian Schar won't return before the end of the season, though confirmed Lewis Hall is "fine" after taking a few knocks in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest.

Providing an injury update at his pre-match press conference, Howe said: "Lewis is fine. He's trained this week, so no problems with his fitness.

"We have a doubt over Joelinton, who's picked up a slight thigh problem, so we'll assess him in the next couple of days.

"I think we're okay, apart from that. Of course, we've got the guys that are out and there's no change to their status."

Premier League relegation battle between West Ham & Spurs
West Ham can't be relegated this weekend, but should they fail to win and Tottenham Hotspur beat Chelsea next Tuesday then it would confirm their relegation without kicking another ball after Newcastle.

Even a draw for Spurs would likely be enough if the Hammers lose due to goal difference.

"Yeah, you can never predict that before the season starts," Howe said. "And I think that's the beauty of this year's Premier League. It's been very, very unpredictable.

"You've seen big teams, big names, big history struggle. And you've seen some smaller clubs in name do really, really well. And I think that's down to, again, multi factors.

"I think there's some very, very strong teams in the Premier League this year, and if you underestimate them, which I don't think anyone does, because once you play against them, you realise the strength of the league.

"I think it's a great thing for the Premier League in the sense that you never quite know what's going to happen. But the challenge is there for every club, including us, that you have to keep improving, you have to keep evolving to stay with the competition."

Wolves will head into the Molineux clash with a boost, as goalkeeper Jose Sa is available again. Hugo Bueno and captain Ladislav Krejci are also in contention after both trained on Friday, which gives Rob Edwards a few more options ahead of the game. Edwards said there are a few players carrying "a couple of knocks", but added that is normal at this stage of the season, so Wolves will still need to manage a few fitness concerns.

Fulham team news
Fulham could be boosted by the return of Alex Iwobi, who is back in contention after missing three games with a hamstring injury. Marco Silva said Iwobi has trained well this week and is available for selection. Fulham will, however, be without Joachim Andersen, who is suspended after his sending off against Bournemouth, while Ryan Sessegnon remains out. Silva said all the other players should be available for the trip to Molineux.

    Goalkeeper Jose Sa is available, while Hugo Bueno and captain Ladislav Krejci are also in contention after training on Friday.

    Edwards said there are a few players with "a couple of knocks," but added that's "normal for this stage of the season".

    On the fans forum that took place midweek: "It was never going to be all sunshine and roses. A lot of people are hurting and that's completely understandable. We are as well. It was valuable and great to hear some of the supporters' points of view, and to listen - as well as to communicate our points too."

    He said he "took a lot of good faith" in the number of supporters who spoke to him after it finished, "showing their support and saying they hope we can be the ones to turn it around".

    He spoke about how they "are going to work really hard now to build a team, a squad, and a better club" for the future.

    On his post-match interview after the Brighton defeat: "I was frustrated with the first five minutes. That was my biggest bugbear because you can't start a game like that. It was a lack of focus and making the wrong decisions, which you can't afford to do against anyone at this level."

    He said they "will chuck everything at it to win" the remaining two games because they "don't want to finish bottom of the league so that's something to aim for".

    On the summer: "There's going to be a lot of change. A fresh look with people who want to be here and have a real hunger from day one. There's always a lot to get over the line, but we want to make sure we are aggressive so that we can get to work straight away." He added it would be "fantastic" to have players in for the first week of pre-season.

    On opponents Fulham: "They are a good footballing team. They have a nice way of going about it and they can compete with anyone on their day as well. Really good individuals. It's a big challenge but one we are looking forward to. Let's just go and deliver a performance."

Chelsea's three-man managerial shortlist revealed
Chelsea have narrowed down their search for a new manager to the choice of one candidate from Xabi Alonso, Andoni Iraola or Marco Silva.

The Blues are closing in on making a permanent managerial appointment before the season ends, just under a month since Liam Rosenior lost his job.

Alonso has been closely linked with becoming the Blues' next manager and has entered talks with the club over taking charge after the season ends.

He is the most likely candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Iraola and Silva are the two other bosses on their shortlist right now.

Chelsea's next manager will have a real task on their hands to rejuvenate a struggling group of players ahead of a potential campaign without European football.

Chelsea have Xabi Alonso at the top of their three-man shortlist
Alonso has been out of work since being dismissed by Real Madrid in mid-January following a turbulent half-season at the helm.

He still has credit in the bank from his impressive stint in charge of Bayer Leverkusen, and currently looks most likely to land the Chelsea job ahead of Iraola and Silva.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Chelsea have held talks with Alonso's representatives and those talks will continue along with other candidates for the role at Chelsea to succeed Liam Rosenior.

"So, as things stand right now, you're probably saying Chelsea are leading the race for Alonso. Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva are among the other names linked with this Chelsea vacancy."

Marco Silva's Fulham exit takes centre-stage in Portugal – Everything being said today
Marco Silva is at the 'forefront' of Benfica's plans to replace Jose Mourinho, with an exit from Fulham now seen as close.

The Portuguese press cover the situation today, with O Jogo, A Bola, Record and others all getting in on the action regarding the Fulham manager's future.

Fulham to Benfica
A report yesterday stated that Marco Silva is set to leave Fulham this summer. He's already turned down Nottingham Forest and is open to the idea of joining Benfica.

O Jogo have a similar take. The newspaper reports that while Silva was busy denying reports on Friday, he is at the 'forefront' of Benfica's thinking. They're looking for a replacement for Jose Mourinho, who is set to return to Real Madrid.

The newspaper then relay comments the Fulham manager has made to DAZN in Portugal regarding his future.

"The Premier League is always a priority," he said.

"It's a league that fulfils me; I believe that all coaches have that bug to try it out one day. That has always been the goal, and I won't hide that it continues to be.

"It's a league where I like to be and, with the ambition I have, where I want to see my team fighting for other things. But I've also never closed doors to anything, I've never said that I wouldn't be in league A, B, C or D in the future. Regardless of controlling all the decisions I may make, the future is open."

English competition
Record, meanwhile, focus on those same comments but take a different angle for their article. They instead say a mystery English club have made a contract offer to the Fulham coach. According to them, it is not Nottingham Forest.

"There's a proposal that's been there for a few months to renew with Fulham, which is already public," said Silva on the matter.

"And other possible projects within this league. Apparently, at this moment, it's something that can be arranged to continue in the Premier League."

Correio da Manhã Weekend report that the doors are open for Marco Silva to go to Benfica because Ruben Amorim has turned them down.

According to the newspaper, Amorim's refusal 'opened the doors' for the Fulham manager. He is now the priority target for President Rui Costa this summer. He has already resigned himself to losing Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid.

In fact, the Benfica president wants to announce Mourinho's replacement next week.  He moved quickly to speak to Amorim but was immediately turned down by the former Manchester United boss. Now he has decided to go for Marco Silva.

He is 'receptive' to the approach. Only an offer from of the big five in England could turn his head. A two-year deal with an option of a third waits for him at Benfica. However, CM reports that his wages would be 'substantially lower' than the €7m he currently earns at Fulham.

Earning less than at Fulham
A Bola provide similar information in terms of the contract on the table. According to their information, Benfica are preparing a contract valid for two or three seasons.

They also report that Marco Silva has agreed to 'significantly' lower his wages, compared to what he'd get at Fulham next season. They echo that Silva is the preferred candidate for Rui Costa and insists that there are already 'firm bases' for a negotiation.

The newspaper states that contacts are already underway, although not necessarily with Silva involved. Instead, it is likely his agent, Jorge Mendes, doing the talking. His presence makes the whole matter significantly easier as far as Benfica are concerned.

Benfica are, according to their information, likely to offer him around half of his proposed €7.5m a year salary. Gonçalo Santos, Gonçalo Pedro, and Fernando Ferreira are expected to remain on Marco Silva's coaching staff too.

Silva says he is planning for next season – as doubts over his Fulham future remain
Marco Silva says he is planning for Fulham's future despite uncertainty over his own.

Silva's contract at Craven Cottage expires this summer and he has so far not agreed a new deal.

He is among the contenders to take over at Chelsea and reports in his native Portugal suggest he is wanted by Benfica.

Silva said on Friday that he had not held talks with Benfica or been made an offer by them.

And he insisted: "For the people inside the football club, for our fans, if they are really aware, for our board, the players; every single time, I put the club before me, like it should be.

"I'm not here to think about myself before (the club). I'm here to think about the football club and the future of the football club is going to be always more important, because no one is more important than Fulham in this aspect."

Silva added: "We have many things to do in terms of squad preparation for the next season.

"I had meetings with the scouting department this week again – the targets, the things. All of pre-season is completely ready and there for us. Everything is prepared for the future of the club."

Silva also confirmed that Alex Iwobi is in contention to return for Fulham against Wolves on Sunday.

Atta targeted by Galatasaray after Everton and Fulham interest
Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta is attracting a lot of attention from various clubs and the latest to make an approach is reportedly Galatasaray.

The 23-year-old came to Udinese in 2024 from FC Metz, completing the transfer for €8m, and his value on the market has since sky-rocketed.

He is having a fantastic season at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, scoring six goals and providing four assists for his teammates in 32 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Atta expected to leave Udinese
Inter, Juventus, Milan and Napoli have all been keeping a close eye on his progress, but the asking price of over €20m means a move abroad is entirely likely this summer.

Turkish transfer pundit Yagiz Sabuncuoglu claims that Galatasaray are the latest club to have approached Udinese, asking for details on Atta's availability.

They are not alone, as Everton and Fulham in the Premier League are also preparing a potential swoop at the end of this season.

'Iwobi is back in contention'
Fulham coach Marco Silva recently confirmed that Nigeria international Alex Iwobi is back for the Cottagers after suffering an injury against Brentford last month.

Iwobi was forced off the pitch during his side's 0-0 draw with Brentford in April and has been out of action ever since.

However, Silva revealed that Iwobi will return for Fulham's clash against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday. The Fulham mentor thus took the time to praise his star man, particularly for his versatility and quality.

"Alex is back in contention for the game," Silva said in his pre-match press conference, as per the Fulham official website.

"Last week, he had some training sessions with us. This week, throughout the week, he's been working with us. It's been a good week for him.

"He's a big player for us, definitely. He's a player who's very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He's also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making.

"In all aspects of the game he's a key player for us and he's shown it again this season. It's a boost. Definitely, it's a boost."

Notes from our May meeting with Fulham FC
On Wednesday 13 May 2026 at 13.30, the Fulham Supporters' Trust (FST) met with Fulham FC via video conference.

The Club was represented by:

HOW IT WORKS

At our regular meetings, Trust board members normally ask questions relating to as many topics as possible in the time available, based on responses from members to the advance notification of the meeting and our own observations from interacting with the wider supporter base. The Club then gives its position, which is discussed. These notes are therefore a statement of both points of view. The Trust continues to press both the Board's and its members' views at this meeting and in separate meetings.

Often members ask similar questions, and, in these cases, we try to summarise, provide the Club with feedback and gain as much useful information as possible in the time available. We also prioritise new and time-critical topics, whilst also seeking updates on longer running issues. Other items are taken up directly with Club outside these sessions.

SD opened the meeting by congratulating Steve Jaye and the Women's team on their magnificent unbeaten season, and Becky Stormer on being awarded the FST Rachel Yankey Trophy as player of the season, and Hayden Mullins on being named PL2 coach of the year.

SEASON TICKETS AND MATCHDAY TICKETS

SD started the discussion by reminding the Club that the Trust had re-affirmed in a letter to AM in March that they were seeking a freeze on season ticket prices for next year. No formal response had been received by the Trust, and SD asked whether the Club now had a response.

DD responded that there was little to add to the Club's official statement on the new season ticket prices; and that the Trust, with its Chair a representative on the FAB, had been taken through the Club's final approach to next season, an approach which had evolved in discussions with the Fan Advisory Board (FAB). JN added that the Trust, through its representative on the FAB, had therefore plenty of opportunity to input to the Club.

In reply, SD emphasised that consultation with the FAB was not consultation with the Trust, nor indeed the wider fanbase. As a member of the FAB, SD had to sign a non-disclosure agreement covering all the discussions around ticket pricing, so he was and was still unable to brief the Trust Board on how the final decision had been arrived at by the Club. He had re-affirmed the Trust's request for a price freeze this year during those FAB-led discussions. JN challenged the view that the FST Chair was pushing for a price freeze during the consultation process.  SD did not accept that, adding there were different models across the Premier League for the processes surrounding such consultation, which could be looked at.

DD reminded the Trust that they had very wide access to Club officials and managers to make the views of their members and supporters known, but he felt that the Trust did not help itself or those relationships by its overt criticism of the FAB, which was doing a lot of work in a number of areas of concern to supporters. SD discussed negative views of FAB amongst sections of the fanbase and JN responded that FST statements help to fuel these perceptions. Given the criticism of FAB in the FST's latest statement, DD raised the question of whether the FST Chair should still be part of the FAB. SD believed that should remain the case.

JC responded that he hoped that the Club appreciated, that although the Trust and Club inevitably disagreed on some matters, the Trust added value by making suggestions to the Club backed by the views and information of supporters. He added that is impossible for supporters to know what the FAB were and were not working on, as there was little to no communication from the FAB to supporters generally. DD agreed to consider that point further with the FAB.

In response to a question from SD, JW said that season ticket renewals were running on a par with previous years.

SD concluded the discussion by asking whether there was any information on the approach to matchday ticket pricing for 2026/27. The Club responded that it was too early to say, as fixtures had not yet been determined.

STEWARDING

SD asked JD how he felt the increased screening arrangements at the Bournemouth game had gone. The Trust had separately sent JD some particular supporters' experiences, including congestion after the game getting into and out of the Riverside area. JC added that from his knowledge at both the JH and PE stands entry to the ground had gone smoothly, helped by the positive attitude of many of the stewards doing the screening, but the Trust had received concerns that the focus on screening might have left stewarding short-staffed inside the ground, just before and just after kick-off.

JD responded that the increased security threat had given the Club an opportunity to test the need for full metal screening, which would almost certainly have to be replicated at every game next season because of the new Martyn's Law passed by Parliament. He felt that, in general screening had gone well with entry times to the ground similar to other equivalent games. He would be emphasising in future communication how helpful it was for supporters to take out from their pockets and hold keys and phones and anything else of a metallic nature. He had been particularly pleased to receive direct feedback from a Jewish supporter how pleased they were that Fulham were making the ground as safe as possible. He added that they would be reviewing bag-lanes for next season.

In response to JC's comments, JD said that he had a record number of stewards available for the match, and he would be reminding senior stewards of the need to ensure they were available at all times. There had been some congestion in the open-air part of the Riverside caused by the good weather with supporters trying to enter and leave this area at the same time. They were considering options to reduce this congestion, possibly including a short duration one-way system, say with entry to the Riverside being through one end of the ground, and exit through the other end.

SD asked for the thanks of the FST to be noted for the work done by JD and his team throughout the season to help make Craven Cottage a safe and inclusive environment.

NEW KIT

JC asked about arrangements for next season's kit.

DD responded that there would be 3 kits as usual with both women's and children's sizes. The Club hoped to have the kits available a little earlier this summer, but this just needed to be planned around the World Cup, as he felt that fans might not turn to next season's Premier League until the World Cup was over or nearly over. In response to a question from JC, DD said that it was the intention to incorporate the old Fulham badge regularly into the design, although perhaps not every season, as it had clearly gone down well with many supporters on this year's away kit.

SD asked about progress with a new front-of-shirt sponsor, and DD responded that there was no firm news yet, but it was on track to be ready for the new kit launch
