I feel that the most glaringly prominent emotion with Marco is "frustration".
Frustrated with referees, frustrated with the board, frustrated with transfers, frustrated when the team does not play to his exact instructions, frustrated at silly questions in pre-match press conferences.

I hope the club see sense and just take the contract off the table, thank Marco for his services and move on. He is good but we can do better. Other clubs of similar and less stature than us found Iraola, Glasner, Hurzeler etc The sort of money quoted for this contract is ludicrous and Marco should have signed it by now if he was committed. He has had money to spend and many signings with big fees have been poor value so far. Our play has been slow and tactics stale for months. I want a new start with fresh ideas.

If any of this is true ( and it may not be ) then it's no good people blaming Marco - the owners and their lack of football savvy  has to be in question . My belief is that they are desperate to keep him because he will deliver survival and ,as far as the bottom line is concerned , that is all that matters. Ambition means nothing more than survival.

You're right I don't. But I could have a pretty good bet that the KPIs will be bad for us if we're prepared to offer 11 mil. We're (stupidly) desperate to keep him and that's probably reflected in the contract.
