There appears so little coverage of Benfica & Silva on Sky or the Beeb I'm surprised so many are getting hot under the collar because Talk Gibberish are pushing it. It may happen, it might not.

Silva getting some stick here but Wilson seems to get a free pass & their situations are pretty much the same.

Bit of a childish attitude for a professional sportsman to adopt but on his form over most of his contract, Silva is probably the only manager who would pick him & then not play him in what might be his best position.

Not that anyone cares and least of all Marco but if one is put their opinion anywhere it surely is on this forum.

I have lost so much respect for Marco because of this "will he won't he" showing. Yes yes i see people state that he is "in his full right to do so with a contract going out" but one thing is the legal requirements and another is the perception of his choices and the moral obligations that one can argue he should feel towards both the fans that has supported him for all these years and the club at large.

Likewise, I would argue that we have some of the worst PR teams in English football. Might have worked with this "if we just don't say anything at all then all is well" attitude back in the 90s. But in 2026 fans will speculate on social media, tensions will grow. And to not see that and react to any degree is mindblowingly amateurish to me.

BBC had similar a day or two ago I think, frustratingly none of the reports given any real clarity as none say there is an agreement and personally I would have thought the only reason for leaks while negotiation is ongoing would be the agent trying to leverage PR because whatever they are after is not entirely happening.

BBC had similar a day or two ago I think, frustratingly none of the reports given any real clarity as none say there is an agreement and personally I would have thought the only reason for leaks while negotiation is ongoing would be the agent trying to leverage PR because whatever they are after is not entirely happening.

I'm only calling him out because he said we should "Stop spreading so called 'announcements' that continue to be just speculation." This is a message board and we have the right to discuss leaks and rumours should we want to and not just wait for "official" statements.

Thank god this saga is ending. I've loved the Marco tenure, and he's endured a lot of frustration and changed the 'little old Fulham' mentality.

Shame he couldn't say goodbye at CC. I'm not particularly impressed with how this has been handled by both the club and Marco, and it's a shame he leaves under a slight cloud, as it merited something better.

On the bright side I hope to see a fully rejuvenated attacking line when they are all not burdened with excessive instructions and limited to show minimal individual expression.

I saw Norway crush Sweden yesterday and Bobb was on a another level for his 60 minutes, playing in ways i have yet to see him dare attempt to at all for Fulham. For instance, taking chances, doing unexpected stuff, instead of this meticulous "first you need to pass the ball 15 times and have a wide open clear shot on goal or don't you dare" limitations.

If he is going to move, it would surprise me if it is decided before Mourinho is actually appointed i.e when and if Florentino wins the Real Madrid election.
