So a last day home win in the top flight. Quite a rare beast. Up till today we'd only managed three home "last day wins" out of sixteen attempts (3-0 v Derby in 1951-52, 6-0 v Norwich in 2004/05, and 1-0 v Middlesbrough in 2005/06).

Since that Boro win our home form on the last day in the PL has been poor: losing 0-2 to Everton, drawing 2-2 with Palace and Arsenal, losing to Newcastle 0-4 and 0-2, and losing to Man City 0-2.

So it was nice for a change to close off a top flight season with a decent home win.
