I thought he looked a real talent. Solid defensively but particularly notable that he was prepared to get forward and try some overlaps.

He definitely looks older than his years, and in a good way. Filled out loads since I last saw him and is very assured on the ball.

Lets hope his trajectory carries on in the right direction.

His defensive game was good and his passing out of defence was excellent. I don't think he gave the ball away once. Hope he is included in our first team squad when he returns.

TVs not the best medium to assess, but from what I could see there's a good player there. 

Centre backs take time to strengthen up.  Next season may come too soon.  Do I really want him up against the best strikers in teams that target weakness mercilessly.  Not yet.  Would be delighted to be proven wrong.

Not in a 2 CB set-up but might fit 3 centre backs...didn't he start out as a right back? Could he give cover to Tete? Would save some money.

Was impressed as soon as I saw those pre-season friendlies a couple of years ago and the cup tie against Ipswich - just looks the part, and has poise and pace.

Would have him in ahead of the dinosaur that Andersen has become - had enough of his sluggishness, incessant holding and that brain dead tackle again Bournemouth was the final straw for me.

Diop did ok when he came in, but LDF is ready imo, and I'd be happy for him to be involved now

The flexibility to be able to play three at the back effectively is appealing.  In that formation the ball is going to be played into our channels and our defenders need pace and be good at winning one v ones.  Bassey, Diop and Tete would seem perfect for it and I can see how LdeF and/or Cuenca could fit in.  The problem in that formation is Andersen, it asks him all the wrong questions.  The only place to put him is the middle and deep and that gives clever attackers too much space.

Difficult to judge as he wasn't put under a lot of pressure by the Bosnia front line. But tidy enough, did not give away the ball and kept his position. Another 3 games (at least) to assess him.

I did like the Palace CB Richards for USA last night. And the chap alongside him wasn't too bad either. At times in the first half he had a touch of the Beckenbauers about him. What was his name again? Ah yes, Tim Ream...

His first touch is very good, and seems to be able read the game with good positioning.
He judges the flight of the ball very well, which is a testament to the coaching he has had.
I feel he should be part of the first team squad next season 2026/27. Full back more likely.
Could save us an awful lot of money.

Bosnia may hardly be top Premiership standard but, in fairness, they're not terrible. Ranked 63 in the world. Some dodgy teams around them, but on the other hand Bulgaria are 87, Ghana 73 and Republic of Ireland 58, so not complete tosh. I expect England might have a competitive game against Ghana.

Just had a look at Luc De Fougerolles and his 71 minutes against Qatar, Wasn't under a lot of pressure, playe mainly defensely no runs down the wing. Involved in second goal. Second half moved over to the left, seems comfortable all across the back. Stiffer opposition next game against the Swiss

For youth level he played across the back line from left to right and including centre backs.I dont think he's quick enough for full back but i still think back 3 as he is not the tallest wood be a massive problem as Bassey is not the tallest shame he isn't more skilled to play defensive midfield he is 21 soon hope he could be in squad without number a loan overhere would be good with lumps lower league would he be tall enough in flat back 4.

Unfortunately he's too small to play as a meaningful CB. He's down on the internet as six foot. Looks more like 5' 9 to me.
Doesn't mean he won't continue growing a bit.

On the other hand he looks like a calm, composed and tidy player.
