Somerset Fulham

The jump from under 21 to Championship is huge, it may be a while before we see him playing there.

But at that price and having had a season to look at him and with his own future actually settled, it can only be a good thing, I think.

Welcome aboard!

What we saw wasn't brilliant and whilst he may be young, I've seen loads of young players over the years, I am not sure what he will bring that might develop.

With all due respect, I think the club have probably seen a bit more of him than you have.

This forum is crazy. One minute, it's "invest in youth, lower the average age and profit by developing young players". When we actually do that, it's "he doesn't seem the finished article. Waste of money".

It's 6M euros. How can that not be good business?!

I think the issue is, in the minutes we have seen he hasn't shown much and even at that age, I would have expected to see a bit more of a spark.

I don't accept the argument the club have seen a bit more of him, I don't know what they've seen, Marco clearly didn't rate him.

Exactly this, the U21s typically struggle v League 2 in the EFL trophy

My AI buddy says foreign press is reporting a buyback clause on this one. No figure mentioned.

Trusty Steed

So JKA, Muniz, and on deadline day probably Josh Maja on loan......... defenders will be terrifiedΒ  :slap:

How do you know Silva didn't rate him? Because he didn't play him? Silva took ages to bring players in, he hardly gave any youth players any minutes. Silva has gone so maybe the new manager gave the go ahead.

The Cravenette

It's on the offal now. 5 year deal with a 12 month option.

I'm happy, we need to invest in youth with high potential. If Arbeloa plays with 2 strikers he could get more game time. Failing that, a loan to a league 1 club next season would be ideal.

I heard what he said about him and formed my opinion. Also, he rarely brought him on when we needed a presence up front. It's just my opinion, I think we could use the money elsewhere more wisely, I hope I'm wrong and he blossoms.

It seemed to take ages before he was even picked for the U21s
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Wasn't that because he was with the first team squad?

JimmyConway

Do you think we sign him if Marco Silva was still here? I like him and think there is potential but have a slightly cynical thought that TK is making himself busy again?

Friendsoffulham

The Club is delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich.

The 18-year-old has joined for an undisclosed fee on a five-year contract, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.

Kusi-Asare told FFCtv: "I'm very happy to be a permanent Fulham player. From my first week here, it was very good – I felt like I was a part of the Fulham family.

"The changing room was very nice, team, staff, so I'm very happy to stay here."

Tony Khan added: "I'm thrilled to welcome Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham on a long-term contract.

"We believe that he is a very talented young player with massive potential and a bright future, and we're very happy that Jonah is joining the Club permanently now following his time with us on loan. Come on Fulham!"

Kusi-Asare demonstrated a lot of promise in his 10 First Team appearances last season, and was prolific when called upon for the Under-21s, scoring four times in just five appearances, averaging a goal every 92 minutes.

I really like we're making younger permanent signings but I have to wonder if this signing has the backing of whomever is coming in to manage us

It appears that they have discussed various comings and goings over the last few days, I'm sure he must be fully aware of the signing.
Story of my life

Sadly she wasn't

No, when he joined he wasnt gettiing any game time. There was a clamour to at least play him in teh U21s

Now I'd like to see us sign Zian Flemming and at least one and maybe two others so that JKA can have a season with the U21's under Hayden Mullins

If that's the case then Arbeloa must be extremely close to signing.
