Interview with Luc on the club website.
Personable young man, although, as is usual with these things, doesn't say anything startling.

However he sounds rather different from the usual pro footballer. Educated at Alleyn's School, Dulwich. Not quite as posh as Dulwich College, but rather more liberal in outlook. Cost you around £30,000 a year (lunch extra!) to send your offspring there.

As I've written once before, I have a suspicion he may be related to my late father's colleague who was Canadian and worked in London near Waterloo Station. Can't be too many around with that surname.

At the risk of doxxing myself: he's my cousin, so DM me if you wanted to test that suspicion!

I think I heard somewhere that his father runs a venture capital/private equity business.  So probably able to afford the school fees. 

Josh King was also privately educated - at Hampton School (which was a grammar school many decades ago).

that's what I think I've said in the past - I think his dad runs an impact investment vc firm called Ascension Ventures

It's been a pioneer of sorts in the space

It's interesting to see players with more varied backgrounds come through the game, and nice to see - both Luc and Josh have been quite vocal in their desire to play for Fulham and into the long term, which is refreshing.. is this a reflection of more values based living, or  a point where money is less of a driver - or is that a huge sweeping generalisation?

One of the resident Canadians here. I will miss Issa but this has to open the door for LDF to make the squad. He is beloved over here for his performance in the WC.

Worth noting he has more Copa América, and World Cup Caps than games for Fulham, he hasn't exactly been playing concacaf minnows either. Was rated a top 5 CB at the World Cup by some albeit random metrics.

Hope we give him a chance to prove himself useful as a squad player

Begs the question- is he ready for the first team, or at bare minimum, being in the top four CBs in the club? If so, then what does the clubs attempt at bringing in Nwaiwu mean to all of this?

Or for the season. He looked very lightweight in the World Cup like a gust of wind and he might tip over, yet very effective. The Championship is ruthless too and could be exactly what he needs.

From what I've seen he's a talented ball playing centre back, however he's still quite inexperienced at the top level. I agree with sunburywhite, send him on loan to a Championship side.

With the links to Creswell AND Nwaiwu - (providing we ship out Anderson) I wonder what will become of Luc.

If we'll give him another years loan to see how he gets on while we assess any new CB signing, or just sell him on now off the back of a good world cup. Fairly damning to bring in 2 young CBs ahead of him, IF we do indeed do that. Would indicate he is unlikely to get game time here for the next couple of years.
