Fulham sign Garcia and Palacios from Real Madrid
Fulham have signed Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid on five-year deals.

Garcia, 22, made 39 appearances for the Spanish giants last term, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

The forward, who won his first cap for Spain in June, will reunite with new Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa, for a reported fee of around £34m, with the pair having worked together at the Bernabeu.

"I'm very grateful, very happy to be here," Garcia said.

"I have to thank the board and Arbeloa for the trust they've put in me, and I'm very, very excited to start."

The highly rated striker, joint-top scorer at the Club World Cup last summer, will be joined at Craven Cottage by former Real team-mate Palacios.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder also arrives on a contract that runs until the summer of 2031, although the club has the option to extend the agreements for both players by a further 12 months.

Palacios made five appearances for Real's senior side - all from the substitutes bench - and has played for Spain at under-20 level.

Fulham have spent over £40m to sign the highly-rated pair from Real Madrid

Cesar Palacios' shirt number has been confirmed after joining Fulham from Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a five-year contract at Craven Cottage, keeping him at the club until 2031 and Fulham have the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

Arriving from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee, Palacios becomes new Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa's second signing of the summer - hot on the heels of Gonzalo Garcia.

The striker was also unveiled on Monday evening, with the pair costing a combined fee of £42.5million to reunite with Arbeloa having worked under the Spaniard at Real Madrid during the second half of last season.

It has been confirmed Palacios will wear the No8 for Fulham, made vacant by Harry Wilson following his move to Leeds United earlier in the summer.

Palacios said: "I am very emotional to be here. I believe it is the perfect step in my career.

"The club is showing a lot of trust in me, and I'm going to show it on the pitch."

Garcia's five-year deal at Craven Cottage also includes the option for Fulham to extend by a further 12 months.

The highly-rated striker arrives as a replacement for Raul Jimenez - who rejoined Wolves on a free transfer - and will inherit the No7 shirt from the Mexico international too as he battles Rodrigo Muniz for the main centre forward role.

He said: "I'm very grateful, very happy to be here.

"I have to thank the board and Arbeloa for the trust they've put in me, and I'm very, very excited to start."

Both Palacios and Garcia could be handed their Fulham debuts as early as Friday in the pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace.

A swift return to Spain is on the cards following the London derby as Fulham face Malaga at the Estadio La Rosaleda on August 12.

Real Madrid duo Garcia and Palacios join Fulham
Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios have both joined Alvaro Arbeloa in making the switch from Real Madrid to Fulham this summer.

Fulham have announced the signing of striker Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Craven Cottage, with the club option for an additional 12 months, following a £34m (€39.7m) move from Los Blancos.

Garcia is Alvaro Arbeloa's first signing as Fulham boss, and the Cottagers' second overall this summer following the permanent addition of Jonah Kusi Asare.

Arbeloa coached Garcia at Madrid last season; the striker scored eight goals and provided three assists across all competitions under Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso in 2025-26.

He was also the joint-top scorer at the 2025 Club World Cup, finishing with four goals alongside Angel Di Maria, Serhou Guirassy and Marcos Leonardo, while the Spaniard's five direct goal contributions were only matched by Michael Olise and Cole Palmer.

Garcia was not the only Madrid player to complete a move to Fulham on Monday, as the club also announced the transfer of Cesar Palacios.

Twenty-one-year-old Palacios also signed a five-year contract, with the club option for a further 12 months, following a reported £8.5m (€9.9m) deal.

The duo could make their competitive debuts for Fulham on August 24, when the Cottagers face local rivals Chelsea in their Premier League season opener.

Fulham sign Real Madrid playmaker to compete with Super Eagles star Iwobi
Fulham have completed the signing of Real Madrid playmaker Cesar Palacios, with the club confirming his arrival on its official website.

The move could increase competition for Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi ahead of the new season.

Iwobi has become an important figure at Craven Cottage since joining Fulham, playing a key role in the club's midfield and attacking setup.

The former Arsenal star's versatility has made him a valuable option, with his ability to operate in different positions helping him earn regular opportunities.

However, Fulham's decision to bring in Palacios adds another creative midfielder to their squad.

Iwobi can play in several attacking midfield roles but has stated that he feels most comfortable operating as a No. 10, the same advanced position where Cesar Palacios can also feature.
