I really liked Charles, some calls for him to play RCB, but I think it would be a mistake putting him there just because he can do the job, we would sacrifice his forward play from midfield, and we need players there that can create and score the odd goal. Buying a RCB is more important

It seems clear to me that ESR was playing under instructions from Silva that stifled his game, last night he was given the freedom to roam and he showed he has the class to push on.

Good performances everywhere. They did what they needed to giving the manager headaches in every position.

Garcia is a class act but may struggle if he is our lone striker, I would prefer him to play alongside Muniz (that will not happen I know) because he doesn't hold the classic centre forward roll and I think against better quality more stubborn defences we may struggle. Otherwise I think his goal was reminiscent of Saha and I can't think of higher praise.

Zepa's debut was memorable. It may have been lower league opposition but I just wanted the ball passed to him.   

I will never forget Rodney Marsh's debut v Villa. He scored a brilliant 30 yarder at the Putney End in a 1-0 win. Then we never saw him again for months! I hope this does not happen to Zepa.

It was also good to see ESR looking much slimmer and sharper.

I am not as carried away with Zepa as others are, who voted him MoM.  I am pleased for him to get a chance so early in his career.  You don't get a contract with  a Premier League team unless you have a lot of talent, so by definition we know he is a talented player.  However, taking into account the quality of the opposition, the amount of space the opposition gave him, and the amount of possession he  was given to attack the tiring, isolated left back, I wasn't in awe of his performance.  Clearly he has ability and potential, but it is way too early to think of him even contending for a place in the matchday squad on a regular basis..

Agree with Zepa summary, I am surprised so many are raving about him. I think he definitely looked like he has potential but needs a Champ loan before he is ready to be in and around the first team.

Don't think there's been as much excitement over a new signing since we watched Saha against Crewe and thought... blimey!

Same thing happened to Norwich in their first league match back. Whoever they were playing scored an equaliser with a blatant handball and the ref didn't catch it. VAR, for its sins, would have though.

He will learn a lot more far more quickly playing for Fulham, not wasting precious time in the Championship.

He looked lively yesterday but we were playing Wimbledon and even still Arbeloa didn't trust him to start. By all accounts we are actively in the market for a RW so there's no point keeping Zepa when he could be getting regular minutes and come back next season more experienced.
