Jared Gillet, the only foreign ref allowed in the English Premier League for some reason, gave 17 fouls against Aston Villa to Arsenal's 6.

Didn't see the game, Premier League is so boring and rigged... but agree Gillet is an awful referee, but I don't rate any of them. hate to say it, but their continental counterparts seem so much better, and FAIR! Why not import some, as it is all the players are foreigners. Otherwise, just recruit former players who actually understand the game. You get the impression most of ours never got picked in the playground.

It is vary rare I find myself agreeing with Nick and the title of his post is deliberate click bate but in this instance there were several occasions where Villa suffered the same fate as us we seem to, on one occasion the ref played after a Villa foul Arsenal had the ball played on for a few seconds and when Arsenal played the ball out of play he blew up for a free kick it was almost like watching a rugby match where they seem to play on for an age before potentially bringing play back for a foul, he was quick to book a Villa player for a a slight touch but seemed to ignore such contact the other way around.
We have been both beneficiaries on decisions where players pull the opposition back v Chelsea Palacios was not booked then v Sunderland he does get booked and had those decisions go against us this season already, where for the same foul the opposition player isn't booked or a foul called, so nice to see such consistency from the refs, that said I am pleased to see in general there seems to be fewer fouls being given where players go to ground at the slightest touch.
It may be my imagination but in the game yesterday he seemed to allow Arsenal to take an age over throw ins and free kicks.

Gary Neville said it was definitely a penalty, regardless of getting the ball, it was a dangerous scissor tackle.

The PGMOL are a crooked disgrace and are engineering another Arsenal title win as they did last season. Chris Sutton said Arsenal were the "worst champions" ever based on their style of football (fouling in the box and ref allowing it). This Aussie Gillet is getting a reputation of being the most controversial. When he gave Southampton a last-minute penalty to knock us out he knew the winners would meet Arsenal and he was trying to give them the easier team. But the Saints went to knock Arsenal out, so he messed up there.

I'm starting to hate the Premier League in Sky's grand scheme of making Arsenal dominate the league with over excessive refereeing in their favour. Infantino's FIFA run World Cup is 10 times what Sky & the PGMOL offer us in the EPL coz this is dross!
