"I love it here" – Fulham star strongly hints at contract renewal
Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno is calm about his future as his contract with the Premier League side runs down at the end of this season.

He has been the London club's No.1 since joining them from Arsenal in 2022. The German kept 33 clean sheets and conceded 235 goals from 160 matches for Fulham.

The 34-year-old has maintained his place in Fulham's starting lineup after Álvaro Arbeloa replaced Marco Silva in the summer.

Fulham have option to extend until 2028
The German made his national team debut in 2016 and has played nine matches so far. He hasn't received a call-up since March 2024, after rejecting a backup role.

Die Mannschaft have appointed Jürgen Klopp as their new manager and earlier this week, he announced his first squad for the upcoming international break. Last month, he left the door open to return to the national team after a long absence.

Bernd Leno gave a detailed interview to Sky Deutschland to discuss Germany's new era under Klopp and several other topics. This includes his own future with the English club.

His contract expires in 2027, and Fulham have an option to extend it for another year.

When asked about his future and whether he wants to continue in the Premier League, he said: "As I've already said, I love the Premier League. I love it here, I love London, and I feel right at home now. That's why I'm very relaxed about the situation. We'll see if it continues for at least another year. We still have big plans with the club."

On whether there are concrete talks with Fulham, Leno explained: "In football, you never know what's going to happen. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring or what the situation will be like in a few months. That's why I don't worry about it too much."

All signs point to Fulham renewal
Former Chelsea and Leicester City defender Roberto Huth currently holds the record for the German with the most [332] Premier League appearances.

Bernd Leno has made 255 league appearances with Fulham and the Gunners and says he wants to break Huth's record.

He added: "Yes [personal goals], for example, there's still a German record to break. Maybe I can surpass Huth. That's still a long way off, though. If I play for another year or two, it might happen. But overall, I'm very positive and relaxed about my future."

The Fulham goalkeeper's admission is a clear hint he wants to continue with them, where he has been enjoying regular minutes.

Five things to look out for as Manchester United visit Craven Cottage
Can the Whites ride off into the extended break with a win?

Well, what a difference a week makes.

From a fanbase and a dressing room in disarray, to harmony and optimism as Fulham look to enter this long break in domestic action with three points.

Last week's preview focused on whether we could get out of Anfield in a respectable manner, and that objective was achieved with aplomb. We added the icing to the cake with a win against West Ham in midweek.

As someone originally from Essex, there is nothing better than beating West Ham and the cast of Danny Dyers that go with it.

Fulham host Manchester United with two very respectable results behind them, and green shoots aplenty. The performance at Anfield was measured, solid and showed resolve – we could even have stolen three points if Gonzalo had leathered it. There was balance, physicality and fight; the team looked incredibly well prepared.

The London Stadium saw Fulham stroll in, take three leads and exit after 90 minutes of chaos. There was some lovely attacking football, but also some big question marks over the defending, particularly at set-pieces.

Onto United then, who've had a very smooth start to the season with [checks notes] Michael Carrick already under immense pressure to stop the slide.

A capitulation against Brighton in the cup becomes the latest mark against the Red Devils, who've also lost or drawn against Hull City, Everton and Manchester City. United were tipped to challenge Arsenal and City this year, but could it already be over?

Here are five things to look out for this week.

1. Is it must-win for both of us?
We spoke about Palace feeling like a must-win, but this really does feel like that territory for both sides – potentially for different reasons. Fulham are starting to show signs of life, a spirited performance at Anfield netted the first points of the season and they'll be hoping for more. United, on the other hand, are vulnerable and need to stop the spiral. They've picked up one win all season and would have hoped for more – the pressure is already growing on Michael Carrick.

Alvaro Arbeloa was particularly complimentary of United, calling them one of the best teams in the world during his pre-match press conference. He maintained that the Whites will have to be at their "best level, the same level we saw at Anfield" to get something from this game. Therefore, there is an expectation that the Spaniard will name the same unchanged team that started at Anfield. That same team showed some great promise, there was a balance to the midfield with Charles and Berge working well together, the structure held firm and there were periods where Fulham looked dangerous on the counter. Josh King, in particular, leading the charge. Surely, it'll only be a matter of time before he gets an England call up.

United's start has been bleak. Mauled by the Tigers, a meager draw at Everton and a controversial defeat to City, it's not been great. But the biggest blow was the catastrophic collapse against Brighton in the Carabao Cup, sparking the media into a frenzy. Ahead of this extended international break, Carrick will want – and need – to get three points to shut the critics up. Arbeloa will want three points to keep the momentum going.

2. Battle of the set pieces
This feels very last-season to talk about set-pieces, but this might be where the game is won or lost for the Whites.

Defending corners and free-kicks has presented an issue all season, Liverpool were at their most dangerous when utilising them and West Ham scored two from them in midweek.

Fulham are employing a mixed zonal & and man-marking approach to corners, but look susceptible to set pieces that attack the front post. It's not ideal when Munoz, the smallest player on the pitch, is winning headers. Opponents have consistently crowded out Leno, which makes the need for more physicality increasingly prominent – Bassey, Berge and Charles need to provide more protection in the box. This will be even more important with Harry Maguire, Sesko and the boys coming to town.

Interestingly, there were only a handful of centre-backs smaller than Bassey and Affengruber this weekend, which demonstrates the Premier League's transition for size and physicality over technical ability. (Thanks Dan Goga-Cooke for that one!)

3. Managing the transitions
Fulham did a commendable job of this last weekend, against a side that pose significant in wide areas on the counter. They'll have to do more of the same this weekend, but up against a different style.

United have been at their best this season when games open up; they feel comfortable working into a space and exploiting pockets through the transition.

Bryan Mbuemo came to life against Everton when the game became stretched. As we well know, the ex-Brentford man is at his most dangerous when given space to use his pace. Matheus Cunha, who loves a goal against Fulham, also excels in these situations. The importance of cutting passing lanes and balancing forward commitment will be key to a result. As much as they feel vulnerable right now, United do have the players who can pick off teams when given time and space.

Expect to see the returning double pivot of Charles and Berge as Fulham aim to close the distribution channels, and out-muscle a midfield that is designed to play and pass through teams rather than run through them. Also look for Fulham to pressure in bunches, the high-pressure swarm tactics created chances against Liverpool and West Ham, and the method behind it looks to be clicking for the Whites.

4. Bobb's breakout
The Norwegian finally netted his first goal for Fulham this week, and it's about time too. There's been a mixed feels about Bobb since his arrival from Manchester City, but the promise has certainly been there. His ability to float with the ball and create danger on the transitions has been one of the keys to our success in attack.

Yes, the shooting has lacked at times – and perhaps he was lucky against West Ham – but the balance he has provided with Castagne on the right has been good. The link-up play with Josh King has been far better though and they have become Fulham's focal point.

While Bobb is rightfully gaining plaudits, it isn't just him who is showing signs of breaking out. Oscar Palacios registered a goal and an assist on Tuesday, and his game is showing signs of vast improvement – timing, vision and positioning are all improving immensely. His confidence to come inside and create triangles with King and Garcia, or King and Bobb have been a welcome addition. While Iwobi is fit, I don't see Palacios starting for now, but perhaps the time and space was needed.

5. All change, please
Well this off-season we talked a lot about the end of the road for Joachim Andersen. And a handful of games into the season, it feels very true. Outclassed in every game, looking slow and with poor decision making – this is a different Joa to the one we've been used to seeing. So out with the old guard and in with the new: David Affengruber, who looked fantastic against Liverpool. His speed and distribution look good, and he held his own next to Calvin Bassey. Excited to see more of the Austrian.

And one member of the old guard making a comeback is Alex Iwobi. I'm so here for it – the Nigerian gets a hard time, but he offers a lot: great movement, positioning and workrate. Coming inside off the left wing suits him, and it gives Antonee Robinson more opportunities, he can use the ball well and is a creator. His experience out wide helped bring balance against the Reds, and you'll see it again this weekend. Iwobi also loves a goal against United, so here's to another.

Nigeria vs England: Why Fulham star Chibby Nwoko chose the Super Eagles
Chibuzo Chibby Nwoko has chosen Nigeria over England at senior international level, with the Fulham midfielder accepting his first Super Eagles call-up for the friendly against Russia, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 20-year-old has already represented England at Under-18 level, but his Nigerian family roots and a growing connection with the Super Eagles have helped shape his decision.

Nwoko was born in London and came through the English football system after joining Fulham at Under-12 level following an earlier spell with Chelsea.

His international experience with England is limited to three Under-18 appearances in 2023. All three matches were friendlies, giving him a clear route to change his international allegiance before appearing for Nigeria in a competitive senior fixture.

Chibby Nwoko was part of England's squad for the International Tournament of Lisbon in June 2023, when the Young Lions faced Norway, Australia and Portugal. He played three matches during that period and accumulated 103 minutes.

His link to Nigeria comes through his father, whose family roots are in Umuahia South, Abia State.

The midfielder had previously hoped to receive opportunities with Nigeria's Flying Eagles and Olympic Eagles, but those call-ups did not materialise.

That experience did not end his interest in Nigeria. Instead, the opportunity to join the Super Eagles arrived after he had progressed into senior football in England.

Nwoko still needs to renew his expired Nigerian passport and secure a National Identification Number, but those administrative steps are not expected to stop him from featuring in the Russia friendly because it is a non-competitive fixture.

Chibby Nwoko: Chelle turned to Iwobi before making decision
Eric Chelle did not make the decision to call Nwoko up based only on what he had seen himself. The Super Eagles coach contacted Alex Iwobi and asked the Fulham midfielder for his assessment of Nwoko.

Iwobi, who has played alongside Nwoko at Fulham, gave a positive view of the academy graduate. That conversation gave Chelle another perspective on a player he was already considering for the national team.

Nwoko's invitation therefore followed two different forms of assessment. Chelle had his own view of the midfielder's football, while Iwobi provided an inside assessment from a player who knows Fulham's environment and the demands of international football.

Nwoko has accepted the invitation and is expected to link up with Nigeria ahead of the October fixture in Russia.

How Chelle tracked Nwoko's progress
Eric Chelle's interest in Chibby Nwoko developed as the midfielder moved closer to Fulham's senior side. The Super Eagles coach followed his progress at Craven Cottage before taking the next step and watching him in first-team action.

That opportunity came on August 27, when Nwoko made his Fulham senior debut against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup. He entered the game from the bench and played 22 minutes during Fulham's 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage.

That appearance came after an important period of senior football away from Fulham. Nwoko spent the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Forest Green Rovers, where he started 17 consecutive matches. He finished the loan spell with 22 appearances and one goal.

Nwoko has the profile of a midfielder capable of playing as a six, eight or 10, while boasting the ability to break up attacks and contribute in the final third.

His progress continued after returning to Fulham, with Nwoko providing two assists in the 4-3 Premier League 2 win over Burnley Under-21s in August.

Chelle had considered selecting him for Nigeria's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, but the coach wanted greater clarity over the midfielder's previous England youth appearances before taking that step.

The Nigeria Football Federation is presently seeking further clarification from FIFA over his eligibility.

What Chibby Nwoko can bring to the Super Eagles
Nwoko gives Chelle a left-footed option in midfield, similar to former international Garba Lawal, and offers positional flexibility across the central areas.

The youngster is capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder or attacking midfielder, giving the coach the option to use him in different roles depending on the match.

His ability to break up play could allow him to operate deeper, while his passing range gives him a route into a more advanced midfield role.

His recent loan spell also gave him experience against senior opponents rather than only academy players. Starting a dozen and half matches in succession for Forest Green provided a sustained run of competitive football before his return to Fulham.

There is also evidence of attacking value. Nwoko produced seven goals for Fulham's Under-18 side across his youth career while his early 2026-27 form included two assists against Burnley Under-21s.

Chelle is therefore bringing in a midfielder who has developed through England's academy system, gained senior experience in the National League and reached Fulham's first team before receiving his first Nigeria invitation.

The Russia friendly will give Nwoko his first opportunity to train and play alongside established Super Eagles players, including Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, while beginning a new chapter in his international career.

Nightmare week gets worse for Carrick as Man United attacker not seen with the squad for Fulham trip

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick finds himself under the spotlight heading into the clash against Fulham.

United sit 13th in the Premier League table, having won just one of their first four games this term.

The Old Trafford crowd were expecting a positive response from United in the League Cup after a frustrating derby defeat. However, Carrick's men delivered an even more embarrassing performance, squandering a two-goal lead to Brighton and crashing out of the cup at the first time of asking.

Accordingly, question marks over Carrick's position are starting to creep in, making the encounter against Fulham a very crucial affair for the man in charge.

New injury concern for Michael Carrick
Michael Carrick is already having to deal with a thin backline. Luke Shaw was absent against Manchester City and Brighton, and Matthijs de Ligt is yet to make his debut under the Englishman.

United are still waiting for their first clean sheet in the Premier League but the Red Devils have looked promising going forward. Now, Carrick may have been given a selection headache in attack as well.

According to Steven Railston of the Manchester Evening News, there was no sign of Benjamin Sesko with the squad as they arrived for the train to London for Sunday's match.

"Looks like he's a doubt for tomorrow," the journalist added.

Sesko started in United's defeat against Brighton in mid-week but did not make a difference. His hold-up play, in particular, was underwhelming and played a part in Brighton's first two goals.

In the Premier League, Carrick has preferred to start Matheus Cunha, but against low blocks, the 23-year-old remains a more effective option and has done well coming off the bench.

As such, his absence against Fulham would certainly make things trickier for the United boss.

Elsewhere, Carrick may have the option to rely on fresh legs to improve his side's intensity, as both De Ligt and Carlos Baleba reportedly travelled to the capital to face Fulham. Shaw is also thought to be part of the 22-man travelling squad.

However, in more positive news for Carrick, Shaw is in contention to return at left-back after missing United's last three games.

New summer signing Baleba, who joined in a £70 million deal from Brighton last month, could also make his debut for United.

The 22-year-old has missed the start of the new Premier League campaign due to an ankle ligament injury.

Elsewhere, De Ligt could also make his first appearance of the season for United.

The Netherlands international has been sidelined since last November due to a back injury.

United are in desperate need of a win against Fulham as Carrick's side have registered just one win in four Premier League games so far.

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is doubtful for the Premier League game against Fulham after not being spotted with the travelling squad, according to journalist Steven Railston.

The Red Devils have had a difficult start to the season. They are currently on just four points after as many league games, and have already bowed out of the Carabao Cup in the third round.

United need to desperately return to winning ways against Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow. Ahead of the clash, it appears Sesko won't be involved, having not boarded the train to London.

While Sesko is not part of the group, there is a significant boost on the injury front with Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw and summer signing Carlos Baleba having travelled with the team today.

Matheus Cunha poised to lead the line vs Fulham
Sesko was picked to lead the line against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup third round in midweek. He had a difficult outing and was guilty of losing possession on 13 occasions.

The Slovenian, who was signed from RB Leipzig for an initial £66.3 million last year, registered only eight passes and lost 50 percent of his aerial duels. One of his aerial challenges lost contributed to Pascal Gross' equaliser before Brighton won the game (3-2) at Old Trafford.

Sesko was far from his usual best against the Seagulls, which suggests he may have picked up a knock. His absence from the travelling squad pretty much confirms that he may not feature tomorrow.

Regardless, Matheus Cunha looks poised to start as the number nine against Fulham. He has yet to find peak form, but he has fared brilliantly against the Cottagers with four goals and an assist in six meetings.

Bundesliga: Former Fulham youngster Thorsteinsson extends Hertha's perfect record
Hertha BSC maintained their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Dynamo Dresden.

Hertha BSC returned to 2. Bundesliga summit with a comeback win in Dresden. Former Fulham youth team player Jón Dagur Thorsteinsson was the star of the show with his first brace in German football.

Both teams scored with their first shots on target. The hosts took the lead in the tenth minute with Patrice Čović's strike on his full 2. Bundesliga debut. The 19-year-old Werder Bremen loanee scored after playing a one-two with Vincent Vermeij.

The meeting point is therefore likely to be central. Garcia trying to make those deliveries useful, Harry Maguire defending the first contact, and King looking for the loose ball behind them. Fulham's direct pressure can turn the match into a series of uncomfortable central contests, while Manchester United's willingness to bank a draw may allow the hosts to stay in the game. Still, the visitors have the clearer route to control the decisive areas and should find enough attacking moments to edge it. The most plausible scoreline range is 1-2, with 0-1 and 1-3 also fitting the expected pattern.

The unsettled left side could still alter the balance
The remaining selection question on Manchester United's left may change the way their controlled plan functions. A more secure wide combination would help them keep Fulham's right side pinned and reduce the need for Bruno Fernandes to solve every attacking phase centrally; a late change there would ask the visitors to adjust their support around Matheus Cunha. However, Carrick has been dealt another worry before the game at Craven Cottage, with Benjamin Sesko absent from the travelling squad seen arriving in London.

Amad remains unavailable for the trip, and is not expected back until after the international break. Carrick confirmed as much last week, acknowledging that his return was not imminent.

United have been contending with a string of lengthy injury absences. De Ligt has been sidelined for 10 months due to a back problem, with the Dutchman continuing his rehabilitation before travelling with the squad to London - though it's unlikely he'll be in the staring lineup.

Manuel Ugarte was forced under the knife after sustaining a knee ligament injury during the World Cup and remains on the sidelines for the foreseeable future, while goalkeeper Tom Heaton is also out nursing a hamstring strain.

Fulham, meanwhile, are set to be without both Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete until next month. Club skipper Cairney had knee surgery over the summer and is pencilled in to return to training after the international break.

Dutch defender Tete is also ruled out until next month following a concussion.

A victory at Craven Cottage would be crucial as Carrick looks to halt United's worrying slide and steady the ship.

We believe Carrick could spring a surprise by unleashing a new-look attacking trio against Fulham.

Shea Lacey made his full debut against Brighton in midweek and marked the occasion with a superb opening goal.

His trickery and ability to drive forward with the ball caught the eye, and he could be rewarded with another start on the right wing.

Matheus Cunha has regularly operated as a centre-forward this season to accommodate Marcus Rashford on the left.

While Rashford has looked electric on the wing, he is yet to register a goal contribution this season.

Carrick could drop the England international to the bench and move Cunha out wide to add greater cutting edge to the attack.

Rashford could then be unleashed as a super-sub in the second half, using his pace against a tiring Fulham defence.

Will the three-week break put more pressure on managers?
Three weeks is a long time in football - especially if you are a manager struggling for results.

So far this season three coaches have lost their jobs - Paul Heckingbottom at Preston North End, Michael Duff at Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough's Luke Williams.

But plenty of others will be looking over their shoulders heading into the new, extended international break.

That includes the managers of Fulham and Manchester United, who on Sunday meet at Craven Cottage in the final fixture before players jet off around the world with their countries.

It will all be pretty new to Alvaro Arbeloa, appointed as Fulham's manager in the summer after taking charge of just 28 games as Real Madrid boss in the second half of last season.

But with no wins and three defeats in his first four Premier League matches, and speculation of unrest among the squad due to players' social media activity, the pressure is already on Arbeloa.

Likewise Michael Carrick at Old Trafford, especially after the 3-2 EFL Cup exit to Brighton on Wednesday.

It was the first time United had led at home by two goals and lost since they were beaten 3-2 by Tottenham in 1976, half a century ago.

Coming on the back of the 1-0 loss to 10-man Manchester City, and with their only victories this season against Ipswich Town and Sabah, Carrick needs results.

But they are not the only managers who might have cause for concern.

The stats: Do clubs change managers in the international break?
Over the past 10 years, it has been rare for a Premier League manager to be replaced this early in the campaign.

Even more so in the international break.

But could it be different this year? The first break is longer, three weeks rather than two, and comes later.

The September slot used to come at the start of the month when clubs had only played three league fixtures.

In the past 10 years only two managers - Watford's Javi Gracia in 2019 and Nottingham Forest's Nuno Espirito Santo last year - moved on during this break.

What about the October stoppage? Again, only two managers have previously lost their jobs during the same period - Francesco Guidolin at Swansea in 2016, and Xisco Munoz at Watford in 2021.

This suggests clubs do not tend to use an international break to change manager.

It is, though, far more likely to happen in November, with six bosses replaced in the past 10 years.

That does not mean managers are safe, though. The changes simply were not made during the breaks.

In the past 10 campaigns, nine coaches had left their jobs by the time the second international break came along - which is where we are in the number of games.

With no manager to move on yet, could it come in the next three weeks?

With the first international break upon us, rumblings around certain clubs that have started the season poorly have surfaced.

In my time, the October/November international breaks, the pause just after the Christmas period, and then early March would be the three sticking points for any manager who was struggling with results.

Why these breaks are used for clubs to make changes is plain to see. The pause in the season gives football clubs the chance to appoint a new manager with time for them to settle into their new role, to take stock of the surroundings, staff and time to prepare for their first game in charge.

After Christmas, usually the first game is an FA Cup match, which again gives the new boss a chance close up to see what they have to work with. First impressions can be a vital starting point, so again the manager has time to prepare and deliver their principles to the lads.

Personally, I've joined quite a few of my clubs midway through seasons, and have left a few clubs going the other way, but I do honestly believe that those international breaks, for the reasons I've given, definitely heighten the chances of struggling managers getting the sack.

I don't see this September break as a flashing light, it is too early in the season, but from then on in, the dates I have mentioned really do come into play.

But this early international break doesn't help any managers.

Whether your team is winning or losing, on both accounts, it's a nightmare. If you're winning you want to keep playing, and yet if you've started badly as a manager you want more time to put it right. Players travelling and the chance of injuries at such an early stage of the season is completely bonkers in my opinion.

Which managers could be under threat?
While the evidence suggests things have to get pretty bad for a club to change manager early in the season, a few bosses are feeling the heat.

There are ways of losing games of course, but I don't see the trip to Fulham as being 'make or break' for Carrick in the sense of his job.

Carrick says it would be "ridiculous" to think that way - and I agree.

He got enough credit in the bank last season by steering Manchester United into the Champions League to ride out a poor start to the season.

I think the issue is United generate so much debate that a loss at Craven Cottage, which would be United's first since 2009, against a team that has only one point and is bottom of the table, would lead to numerous external inquests - which in turn puts a laser focus on the club when they resume their campaign against Tottenham on 10 October.

Fulham

It is unclear exactly how much danger Arbeloa is in, but there appears to be some substance to reports of disgruntlement among elements of Fulham's squad early in the campaign.

His significant tactical changes since replacing Marco Silva have left the Cottagers vulnerable at the back, although they produced a more solid display in a goalless draw away to Liverpool last weekend. Silva spent five years at Craven Cottage.

However, owner Shahid Khan has shown a ruthless streak in the past when making managerial changes. Claudio Ranieri lasted just 106 days in charge, while Felix Magath was sacked in September 2014, albeit having been appointed the previous season.

Tottenham

The results go from bad to worse for Tottenham. Having spent about £300m on new talent over the summer the club's owners are getting very little bang for their buck in terms of points (and goals) scored.

But there is no sense whatsoever that Roberto de Zerbi is under pressure despite the club's difficult start - no wins from five games.

The vibes with regards to how the team is starting to play are positive amid a sense that it is only a matter of time before they click.

Of course, for Tottenham, it needs to click sooner rather than later.

Pierre Sage has endured an indifferent start to life at Palace. One league win so far hasn't gone down particularly well internally, nor has the team's leaky defence since the Frenchman's arrival from Lens.

Allowances will be made for the unavailability - for a manner of reasons - of key attacking duo Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The 4-0 win over Lech Poznan in the Europa League on Thursday eased some of the pressure, but a defeat at Leeds this afternoon would come at the worst possible time for Sage.

Burnley

Nicky Hayen quit Genk to spearhead Burnley's bid to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The Clarets started the season as third favourites for promotion, behind West Ham and Wolves, but are winless in their first eight matches.

In his pre-match news conference on Friday, the Belgian faced questions about his future.

Hayen admitted he was under pressure and Saturday's game against fellow slow starters Derby was a must-win fixture.

But a disappointing 1-1 draw, with the Rams scoring a stoppage-time leveller, left Burnley rock-bottom going into the break.

The Burnley board might now be assessing their options.

Derby manager John Eustace, who almost took the club to the play-offs last season, is not safe either with the club in the relegation zone.

"I love it here" – Fulham star strongly hints at contract renewal
Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno is calm about his future as his contract with the Premier League side runs down at the end of this season.

He has been the London club's No.1 since joining them from Arsenal in 2022. The German kept 33 clean sheets and conceded 235 goals from 160 matches for Fulham.

The 34-year-old has maintained his place in Fulham's starting lineup after Álvaro Arbeloa replaced Marco Silva in the summer.

The German made his national team debut in 2016 and has played nine matches so far. He hasn't received a call-up since March 2024, after rejecting a backup role.
